TDOC Contraband Arrests

NASHVILLE – As part of the ongoing effort to operate safe and secure prisons, the Department of Correction (TDOC) has made several arrests in connection with the introduction of contraband into state prisons. The arrests were made at four facilities this month, Morgan County Correctional (MCCX), Northeast Correctional Complex (NECX), Turney Center Industrial Complex (TCIX) and West Tennessee State Penitentiary (WTSP).

  • Juliana Fraley, a visitor at MCCX– charged with introduction of contraband into a penal facility (Marijuana).
  • Tiffany Hamilton, a visitor at NECX –charged with introduction of contraband into a penal facility (Suboxone).
  • Deanna Peppers, a visitor at TCIX-charged with introduction of contraband into a penal facility (Marijuana).
  • Candice Pierson, a visitor at WTSP-charged with introduction of contraband (cellphone, marijuana and two flash drives with pornography) and possession of hydrocodone without a prescription.


“The introduction of contraband into state prisons is a serious offense that threatens the safety and security of staff and inmates and will not be tolerated,” said Commissioner Derrick D. Schofield. “The TDOC will vigorously pursue prosecution against any person who attempts to threaten security."
