February 21st- 27th, 2013

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd.

  • Wednesday February 20 through Wednesday February 27, 10AM-2PM, Traffic will be paced on I-65 northbound and southbound in order to blast just north of Trinity Lane at the I-65 northbound on ramp.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through March 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad

  • Thursday February 21 through Wednesday February 27, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekends), There will be shoulder closures on I-24 West bound to start de-rigging operation.
  • Saturday February 23 and Sunday February 24, 6AM-6PM, There will be shoulder closures on I-24 West bound to start de-rigging operation.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on 3rd Ave. over I-65

  • Wednesday February 20 through Tuesday February 26, 9PM-5AM, (excluding Friday and Saturday), There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound in order to remove forms and falsework.  Two lanes will remain open.
  • From now through April 2013, Third Ave. Bridge will be reduced to one lane.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Dickerson Rd. over Dry Creek

  • From now through April 2013, Dickerson Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Dry Creek Rd. to Robert Cartwright Dr. in Goodlettsville (LM 22.09).

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 to SR 96

  • Thursday February 21 through Wednesday February 27, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating two lane closures of I-65 northbound and southbound in order to complete installation of bridge expansion joint and place final pavement markings on the bridge.  Two lanes will remain open.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy) South of SR 96 to SR 6

  • From now through December 2013, The inside lanes of Mack Hatcher Pkwy. in both directions approximately ½  west of the Franklin Rd intersection will be closed in order to  perform median work  in order to shift traffic to the next phase of construction.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, City of Franklin Construction

  • From now through November 2013, Hillsboro Road (SR 106) will be reduced from four lanes to two lanes between SR 96 and Independence Square to begin utility relocation for a sidewalk project.

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday February 21 through Wednesday February 27, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
    • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
    • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
    • I-65, Williamson
  • Thursday February 21 through Wednesday February 27, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as needed basis:
    • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
    • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
    • I-65, Williamson

MAURY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 50 over I-65

  • From now through June 2013, SR 50 will be reduced to one lane in this area due to repair of the bridge.  Signalization is in place.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday February 21 through Wednesday February 27, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound in order to patch asphalt.  One lane will remain open in each direction.

WILSON & SUMNER COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • Thursday February 21 through Wednesday February 27, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 109 northbound and southbound for utility line relocation work.
  • Saturday February 23, 8PM through Monday February 25, 6AM, There will be a lane closed on SR 109 northbound in order to pour concrete on Pier 7.

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday February 21 through Wednesday February 27, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

Davidson County

  • Thursday February 21 through Wednesday February 27, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates.  All lanes will remain open. 
  • Thursday February 21 through Wednesday February 27, 8PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on various state routes for crack sealing.  One lane will remain open.

TDOT Utilities

  • From now through Wednesday March 6, 7PM-6AM, On SR -1 West End Ave. at 25th Ave. in Davidson County. This request by Metro Water Services for an 18” and 8” water main installation.
  • Sunday February 24, 6AM-6PM, On I-40 @ 6th Ave. at Log Mile 18.65 in Davidson County .This request by Nashville Electric Service for adding new conductors, eleven (11) Metro Police Officers and Flag Pros to manage traffic control.

TDOT Materials and Tests

  • Thursday February 21, 9AM-12 Noon, There will be a rolling lane closure on SR 258 (New Shackle Island Rd.) from SR 6 to New Hope Rd. Rd. in Sumner County in order to take cores from the roadway.  One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday February 21, 12 Noon-3PM, There will be a rolling lane closure on SR 171 from Division St. to US 70 (SR 24, Lebanon Rd.) in Wilson County in order to take cores from the roadway.  One lane will remain open.
  • Sunday, February 24, 6AM-12Noon, the right lane will be closed on I-40 in both directions between mile marker 208 and mile marker 210 for core drilling.  Two lanes will remain open.

TDOT Bridge Inspection

  • Monday February 25, 8PM-4AM, The two right lanes will be closed on I-24 in both directions at mile marker 58.6 (over Mill Creek) near Bell Rd. to repair potholes in bridge deck.  The left lane and entrance ramp to I-24 will remain open. 
  • Tuesday February 26, 8PM-4AM, The two left lanes will be closed on I-24 westbound at mile marker 58.6 (over Mill Creek) near Bell Rd. to repair potholes in bridge deck.  One lane will remain open. 
  • Wednesday February 27, 8PM-4AM, The two middle lanes will be closed on I-40 westbound at mile marker 205 for bridge deck repair.  Two lanes will remain open. 

Local Programs

  • Thursday February 21 and Friday February 22, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 386 northbound and southbound (Vietnam Veterans Pkwy.) in order to remove overhang jacks.

Geo-Tech Engineering (Metro Project)

  • Monday February 25 through Wednesday February 27, 9AM-3PM, One lane of Old Hickory Blvd just north of Andrew Jackson Parkway will be closed in both directions for soil bores.  One lane will remain open at all times.  (This project is for Metro installing a sewer line)
