Henry County Assisted Care Living Facility Cited for Violations

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Board for Licensing Health Care Facilities has summarily suspended the license of The Grand Pearle Assisted Living effective May 14, 2013.

The Department of Health conducted a complaint survey at The Grand Pearle, a 56-bed assisted care living facility located at 1000 Old Paris Murray Rd. in Paris, on May 3, 2013. Findings of the investigation established that the public health, safety and welfare imperatively required emergency action to prevent the facility from continuing to operate.

As a result of the summary suspension of the license, The Grand Pearle may not continue to operate and may not accept any new residents pending resolution of the matter at a subsequent hearing. All current residents have been referred to other appropriate facilities.

The Board for Licensing Health Care Facilities may take action against the license of an assisted care living facility upon a finding that the ACLF has violated any provision of the Health Facilities and Resources Act or the rules for ACLFs. The facility has the right to appeal any disciplinary action taken by the board.
