"Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention: From Awareness to Action" Conference
NASHVILLE – Tennessee Health Commissioner John Dreyzehner, MD, MPH, will welcome healthcare professionals, community members, educators and the public on Thursday, July 25, for a day of discussions on preventing abuse and misuse of prescription drugs. The “Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention: From Awareness to Action” conference will be held at the Upper Cumberland Regional Health Office in Cookeville.
The conference, organized by the TDH Injury and Violence Prevention Program, brings together key stakeholders from across Tennessee to learn about prescription drug data and trends; describe opportunities for community prevention initiatives and network with other experts to enhance Tennessee’s drug abuse prevention efforts.
