August 15th-21st, 2013

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd.

  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 10AM-2PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 southbound between Dickerson Rd. and Exit 88 (I-24 ramp) in order to blast.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-440 Eastbound from I-65 to I-24

  • Friday August 16, 8PM through Monday August 19, 5AM, I-440 eastbound will be closed from the I-65 junction to the I-24 junction including the on and off ramps at Nolensville Rd. in order to perform concrete repairs.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through December 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Battery Lane over West Fork Browns Creek

  • From now through August 31, Battery Lane will be closed for bridge replacement.  Detours will be in-place. 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 1 (Murfreesboro Rd) from Rural Hill Rd to Rutherford Co Line

  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Saturday), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 1 for paving the roadway.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 255 (Donelson Pike) from SR 1 to Royal Pkwy.

  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Saturday), There will be alternating lane closures on Donelson Pike in order to degrass the shoulders and begin milling operations.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 65 (Whites Creek Pike) from Eatons Creek to the Robertson Co. Line

  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 9AM-3PM, (excluding Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures on Whites Creek Pike in order to begin milling and paving the roadway.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Installation of an Overhead Sign on I-40 near Donelson Pike

  • Monday August 19 through Sunday August 25, 9AM-3PM, The right shoulder of I-40 westbound will be closed near exit 216 will be closed to work on the sign footer.
  • Tuesday August 20 through Sunday August 25, 9PM-6AM, (excluding Friday), The two left lanes of I-40 westbound and one left lane of I-40 eastbound will be closed in order to work on sign footer and prepare for sign installation.

HICKMAN COUNTY, Bridge Repair on I-40 over Garners Creek and Garners Creek Rd.

  • Thursday August 15 and Monday August 19 through Wednesday August 21, 8PM-6AM, There will be one lane closed of I-40 eastbound and westbound (MM 162.0) in order to work on texture coating and expansion joint repair.
  • Friday August 16, 8PM through Monday August 19, 6AM, There will be one lane closed of I-40 eastbound (MM 162.0) in order to work on the bridge approach and repair the bridge deck and parapet and paving, also one lane closed of I-40 westbound in order to work on texture coating and expansion joint repair.

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday August 15th through Wednesday August 21st, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis: 
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson
  • Thursday August 15th through Wednesday August 21st  8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

DAVIDSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, Longitudinal Joint Stabilization on Various State Routes

  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 8PM-5AM, There will be moving work zones at the following locations for longitudinal joint stabilization:
  • SR11 (Spring Street – Trinity Lane)
  • SR6 (Rosa Parks Blvd – Ellington Pkwy) Davidson County
  • SR1 (Murfresboro City Limits – Thompson Lane Paving Joint) Rutherford County
  • SR10 (Joint Indian Park Drive – SR1 Broad Street) Rutherford County
  • SR96 (Cason Lane-SR1) Rutherford County

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway, ITS I-24 Expansion Project

  • Wednesday August 14 through Tuesday August 20, 9PM-6AM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on both I-24 (approximately between Mile Marker 57 and Mile Marker 86) and SR 840 for soil sampling (Approximately between Mile Marker 48 and Mile Marker 57).

MAURY COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 50 from Seavy Hight Rd. to the Marshall Co. Line

  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 8AM-7PM, (excluding Saturday and Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 50 for milling, paving the roadway and installation of guardrail.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Bridge Repair on Rocky Fork Rd. over I-24

  • Thursday August 15 and Friday August 16, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound and westbound near MM 69 for bridge repairs. One lane will remain open.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Bridge Repair on Epps Mill Road over I-24

  • Monday August 19 through Thursday August 22, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 Eastbound at Epps Mills Rd. (near MM 89.0) for bridge repair.  One lane will remain open.

  • Friday August 23, 8PM through Monday August 26, 6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 Eastbound at Epps Mills Rd. (near MM 89.0) for bridge repair.  One lane will remain open.

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 171 (Mt. Juliet Rd.) from the Davidson Co. line to north of SR 265

  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 9AM-3PM, (excluding Sunday), There will alternating lane closures on SR 171 in both directions for guardrail installation, paving, and striping.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 10PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for excavation and hauling operations.  One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 9AM-2PM, There will be rolling road blocks on I-40 eastbound and westbound for blasting.  Police officers will be utilized.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on Lewisburg Pike from Les Watkins Rd. to Mack Hatcher Pkwy.

  • Tuesday August 20 and Wednesday August 21, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 106 in order to install construction signs and begin milling the roadway.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy) South of SR 96 to SR 6

  • From now through December 2013, The inside lanes of Mack Hatcher Pkwy. in both directions approximately ½  west of the Franklin Rd intersection will be closed in order to  perform median work and work on the next phase of construction.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 253(Concord Rd.) from US 31 (SR 6) to SR 252 (Wilson Pike) including Bridge Deck Repair

  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures in order to install pavement markings on the bridge.
  • Friday August 16, 8PM through Monday August 19, 6AM, There will be alternating lane closures for bridge deck repair.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, City of Franklin Construction

Estimated Completion Date 11-30-13

  • From now through November 2013, Hillsboro Road (SR 106) will be reduced from four lanes to two lanes between SR 96 and Independence Square to begin utility relocation for a sidewalk project.

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday, August 15th through Wednesday, August 21st, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

CHEATHAM COUNTY

  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 7PM-5AM, One lane will be closed in both directions on I-40 in Cheatham County between mile marker 188 and mile marker 191.4 for pothole repair on the Harpeth River Bridge deck. 

DAVIDSON COUNTY

  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates.  All lanes will remain open. 
  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 8PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on various state routes for crack sealing.  One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday August 15 and Monday August 19 through Wednesday August 21, 9AM-3PM and 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations on the interstates in Davidson County for Drain Cleaning Operations.  This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Thursday August 15, 8PM-5AM, The two left lanes will be closed on I-24 eastbound between mile marker 47 and mile marker 49 for milling and paving.  One lane will remain open.   
  • Tuesday August 20, and Wednesday August 21, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 in both directions between mile marker 199 and mile marker 206 for milling and paving.  One lane will remain open.   

HICKMAN COUNTY

  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 6PM-6AM, There will be intermittent lane closures on I-40 westbound at mile marker 148 for spot patching.  One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 6PM-6AM, There will be intermittent lane closures on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 158.2 for spot patching in this area.  One lane will remain open.

WILSON COUNTY

  • Tuesday August 20, 8PM-3AM, The northbound lane on State Route 109 between mile marker 13 and mile marker 14 will be closed for milling and paving.  Traffic will be flagged.   
  • Wednesday August 21, 8PM-3AM, The northbound lane on State Route 109 between mile marker 9 and mile marker 10 will be closed for milling and paving.  Traffic will be flagged.   

MONTOGMERY COUNTY

  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 7PM-5AM, There will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 112 (U.S. 41 A - Madison Street) between mile marker 9.0 and mile marker 10.0 in order to pave and stripe the roadway.  One lane will remain open in each direction.  
  • Thursday August 15 through Wednesday August 21, 7PM-5AM, There will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 374 (Richview Road) between mile marker 0 and mile marker 1.0 in order to pave and stripe the roadway.  One lane will remain open in each direction.  

TDOT Survey Office

Williamson County

  • Thursday August 15 and Monday August 19, 9AM-3PM, The inside and outside shoulder of I-65 southbound will be closed between Liberty Pike to S.R. 96 for survey work.  All lanes of traffic will remain open.

TDOT Materials & Tests

  • Friday August 16, 9AM-12 Noon, Macon County SR 10 from South of Goose Creek Rd. to SR 52, there will be a rolling lane closure on SR 10 North while cores are taken from the roadway. One lane will remain open at all times.
  • Tuesday August 20, 8PM-10PM, There will be a rolling lane closure on I-24 eastbound and westbound on the bridges over Main St. and Woodland St. while cores are taken from the outside land of the roadway. Two lanes will remain open at all times.

TDOT Utilities

  • Sunday August 18, 7PM-5AM, Piedmont Natural Gas will have lane closures at Old Hickory Blvd. and Chickering Lane to check gas line for leaks.
  • Monday August 19 through Wednesday 21, 9AM-3PM, The City of Franklin will have a lane closed on SR 96 in front of the Ford Dealership in order to open cut the roadway for an 8” water line tap.
