CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over overflow and the Big Sandy River. There will be possible temporary lane closures in both directions on State Route 424.  One lane will remain open.  The signal system is planned to be active August 16, 2013 and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 10’ lane restriction.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over overflows and the Rutherford Fork Obion. There will be temporary lane closures in both directions on State Route 424. One lane will remain open.  The signal system was activated July 26, 2013 and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 9.5’ lane restriction.

CHESTER COUNTY, SR-365: Resurfacing beginning at US-45 Bypass (State Route 5) extending to White Avenue. There will be temporary lane closures in both directions. Motorists are advised to travel with caution.

CROCKETT/GIBSON COUNTY, SR-188:  Construction of five (5) concrete box beam bridges on State Route 188 over overflows at the Crockett/Gibson county line. Roadway is CLOSED with a detour route posted.

DYER COUNTY, SR-78:  Resurfacing beginning at State Route 104 (Forrest Street) and extending to north of Radio Road.  There will be temporary lane closures north & southbound.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: Wednesday August 14 through Wednesday August 21:  The east and westbound shoulders at Exit 42 are closed.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-57:  Grading, drainage, and paving on State Route 57 including construction of a bridge over Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Traffic is now on the new bridge, mainline is OPEN.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-76:  Grading, drainage, and paving on State Route 76 over Overflow and North Fork Wolf River for construction of 2 bridges.  Grading, drainage, and paving on State Route 76 for construction of a bridge over Overflow and a box bridge over Branch.  Traffic is controlled with a temporary signal and is reduced to one lane in each direction.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-86:  Construction of I-269 from the interchange with State Route 385 to the Mississippi State line in Shelby and Fayette Counties.  The project intersects with US 72 (State Route 86) in the area of the Mann Road intersection.  State Route 86 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction in the median.  Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zone and also crossing the roadway.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-194:  Six (6) bridges are being replaced on State Route 194 between State Route 57 and State Route 15 (US-64. This will cause a reduction in lanes from two to one every day by the use of temporary signals at the Wolf River and overflow bridges.  Motorists should watch for construction vehicles entering and exiting the work zones.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-194:  The installation of safety improvements on State Route 194 in Fayette County.  A flagman will be onsite to direct traffic when the contractor is on the project.

FAYETTE COUNTY SR-196:  The installation of safety improvements on State Route 196 in Fayette County.  A flagman will be on site to direct traffic when the new signs are being installed.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-43:  Resurfacing on US-45E (State Route 43) beginning at State Route 187 extending to Woodlawn Street.   There could be temporary lane closures each day.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-104:  A widening project from west of State Route 188 to Milligan Lane and Gumwoods Road will result in temporary lane closures each day.  Traffic has been shifted from east of State Route 188 to the proposed eastbound lanes.  Motorists are advised to travel with caution.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-15:  A widening project between East of Margin Street to near Hornsby Loop Road will result in a lane shift during the week.  Traffic has been shifted to the proposed west bound lanes. 

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-18:  Grading, drainage, construction of a concrete box beam bridge and paving on State Route 18 over Cypress Creek.

Wednesday August 14 through Wednesday August 21:  There will be lane closures south and northbound on State Route 18 with temporary signal.  One lane will remain open in each direction.  Motorists are advised to travel with caution.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-114:  Bridge Repair over the Tennessee River at Clifton.

Wednesday August 14 through Wednesday August 21:  There will be lane shifts east and westbound.

HENDERSON COUNTY, I-40:  Bridge repair project over Middle Fork Forked Deer River (between mile markers 98-99) & over Dabbs Creek (between mile markers 112-114). The shoulders are closed east and westbound.

HENDERSON COUNTY, SR-20:  A widening project on State Route 20 (US-412) from State Route 114 to the Decatur County Line.  All lanes (new and existing) and adjacent side roads are now OPEN.  Ongoing work could cause temporary lane closures throughout project. Flaggers will be present.

HENDERSON COUNTY, SR-22:  A bridge repair project will cause lane closures on State Route 22 in both the north and southbound direction.  Motorists are advised to use caution when going through a construction project.

HENDERSON COUNTY, SR-104:  Bridge repair project over the Beech River at LM-18.20

Wednesday August 14 through Wednesday August 21:  There will be lane closures south and northbound on SR-104 with temporary signal in place.  One lane will remain open, in each direction.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-22:  A widening project on State Route 22, south of State Route 21 in Tiptonville to existing State Route 22 (Cates Landing Rd.).  Trucks entering and exiting roadway.  There are lane shift throughout the project.  Motorists are advised to use caution when going through a construction project.

LAKE/OBION COUNTY, Reelfoot Lake on SR-21:  There will be temporary lane closures eastbound log mile 7.0 to log mile 8.0, for paving shoulders and driveways.  Motorists are advised to use caution when going through a construction project.

LAUNDERDALE COUNTY, SR-208:  Grading, paving, construction of retaining walls and paving on State Route 208 (State Route 209/Cleveland Street) beginning at State Route 209 (Washington Street) and extending to State Route 208 at US-51/State Route 3 in Ripley.  There will be temporary lane closures daily.  Motorists are advised to travel with caution.

MCNAIRY COUNTY, SR-22:  Resurfacing (thin mix overlay) State Route 22 beginning at State Route 57 extending to the Hardin County line.  There will be temporary lane closures each day. Flagmen will be used to direct traffic.  Motorists are advised to travel with caution.

MCNAIRY COUNTY, SR-224:  Grading, drainage, construction of three (3) box beam bridges and paving on State Route 224 over Owl Creek, Lick Creek and Clarey Creek.  Roadway is OPEN to traffic at Owl Creek Clarey Creek and Lick Creek.  There will be possible lane closures.  Motorists are advised to travel with caution.

MCNAIRY COUNTY, SR-224:  Grading, drainage, construction of a concrete box beam bridge and paving on State Route 224 over Graham Creek, will result in temporary lane closures daily.  Roadway is CLOSED until Tuesday October 15, 2013.  Detour route is posted.  Motorists are advised to travel with caution.

OBION COUNTY, SR-5:  Resurfacing (thin mix overlay) on US-45W/State Route 5 beginning at Polk Station Road log mile 7.15 and extending to State Route 431 log mile 15.57.  There will be intermittent lane closures daily, for paving operations.  Motorists are advised to travel with caution.

OBION COUNTY, Future I-69:  Grading, drainage, construction of 9 bridges, and paving on Future I-69 south of State Route 5/State Route 22 to west of State Route 21.  Motorists are advised to travel with caution.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55:  Grading, drainage, paving at the existing Welcome Center.  Welcome Center is CLOSED.

Saturday August 17, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.:  There will be temporary lane closure on I-55 southbound right lane at log mile 7.53 and one ramp lane. Two lanes will be closed.  One lane will remain open.  THP will assist with traffic control.

SHELBY COUNTY -I-40 Bridge over the Mississippi River

Saturday August 17, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.:  There will be temporary lane closure on I-40 outside westbound lane.  Two lanes will remain open.  This will be for an inspection purpose by the Arkansas Highway Department.  THP will assist with traffic control.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 8:

Wednesday August 14 through Wednesday August 21:  The left (inside) shoulder of the exit ramp for westbound Interstate 40 to Second Street will be closed for about six months.  The Eastbound EXIT to Front Street) is closed.  Traffic on Front Street between Jackson Avenue and Poplar Avenue will be restricted to one lane in each direction.  This lane restriction will be in place for approximately 3 months.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 9:

Wednesday August 14 through Wednesday August 21:  Contractor has closed the outer most lane of the eastbound side of Interstate 40. The closure is required for safe access and egress for seismic retrofit on the Arkansas approach of the Hernando DeSoto Bridge.  The lane closure is anticipated to remain in place until December 2013.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 North of SR-385 to North of Walnut Grove Rd.:

Wednesday August 14 through Wednesday August 21:  Grading, drainage, and paving on I-240. Temporary ramps at the Walnut Grove interchange have been installed and traffic has been routed to these temporary ramps. 

SHELBY COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-240 beginning east of I-55 LM-5.70 and extending to east of Perkins Road LM-12.33

Sunday August 18 through Thursday August 22, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.:  There will be temporary lane closures east and westbound (MM 17.0 to MM 25.0), for milling and paving operations.  Two lanes will remain closed in each direction.  One lane will remain open.  THP will assist with traffic control.

SHELBY COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR-14 beginning at the ramp to I-40 LM-20.04 and extending to north of SR-204 LM-23.51

Sunday August 18 through Thursday August 22, 7:00 p. m.-6:00 a.m.:  There will be temporary lane closures east and westbound for milling operations. Two lanes will remain open. THP will assist with traffic control.

SHELBY COUNTY, -Grade, drain, pave SR-177 (Germantown Rd); Crestridge Rd to Stout Rd:

Wednesday August 14 through Wednesday August 21:  There will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 177 (Germantown Road), between Germantown City Limits to Stout Road.  Flagmen will be utilized during these closures to ensure safety from oncoming traffic.  The closures will be intermittent.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 (US-72):  Grading, drainage and paving on State Route 86 (US-72) for a widening project that includes construction of a box beam bridge, north of Quinn Road to State Route 57 (Poplar Avenue) in Collierville. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction.  South Rowlett St. is closed to through traffic in the vicinity of the State Route 86 bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Motorists may use Wilson Street to Harris Street as a detour.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR 385:  Between State Route 57 and State Route 193, grading, drainage, and bridge construction on State Route 385 from State Route 57 Poplar Ave. in Piperton to State Route 193 Macon Rd. in Fisherville. Trucks may be entering the highway in the area of State Route 193 (Macon Road) and State Route 385 intersection.  Motorists are advised to travel with caution through construction projects.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail

Wednesday August 14 through Wednesday August 21, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be night time lane closures at the following locations, to repair damaged guardrail.

  • I-40, Shelby County, eastbound (MM 1.0 to MM 2.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Shelby County, eastbound & westbound (MM 5.0 to MM 8.0), one lane will remain open.  Also, this will include a partial ramp closure at the I-40 eastbound “On” ramp from SR-14 (Jackson Avenue) southbound.
  • I-240, Shelby County, northbound (MM 30.0 to MM 31.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-240, Shelby County, eastbound (MM 17.0 to MM 18.0), one lane will remain open.  Also, this will include a partial ramp closure on I-240 eastbound “Off” ramp at SR-385.

TDOT MAINTENANCE

Wednesday August 14 through Wednesday August 21, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.:  There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

TIPTON COUNTY, SR-384:  Construction of a concrete box beam bridge over drainage ditch, including grading, drainage, and paving.  Temporary traffic light was turned on November 26, 2012 and will remain on until completion of project.  The northbound lane will be CLOSED.  There will be one 11’ lane on bridge.
