TDVA to Host Veterans Outreach Event for Anderson, Meigs, Morgan, Rhea and Roane Counties

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs is partnering with several federal, state and local organizations to host a Veterans outreach event to connect Veterans and their families in Anderson, Meigs, Morgan, Rhea and Roane Counties with claims assistance, educational resources and more on Wednesday, August 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (EDT).

Veterans will need to present a copy of their DD-214 and any other service related documents to assist with filing claims for federal benefits. 

WHO:              Representatives from the Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs, Roane State Community College and University of Tennessee will be present

WHEN:           Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (EDT)

WHERE:         Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post #6598, 195 Tubs Springs Road, Harriman

WHY:              To help Veterans and their dependents to learn more about eligible benefits and connect with community resources
