September 19th –25th, 2013

BEDFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 231 (SR 10) from Moreland Ave. to SR 82 Including Bridge Deck Repair

  • Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 (US 231) in order to mill and pave the roadway.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd.

  • Thursday September 19 through Saturday September 21, 9PM-5AM, The right lane of I-65 northbound will be closed in order to drive sheet piling at the Ewing Lane Bridge.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-440 Eastbound from I-65 to I-24

  • Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-440 EB for joint sealing. This will also include the closure of both Nolensville Road entrance ramps.
  • Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-440 WB for the epoxy overlay on the bridge over CSX Railroad.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through December 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on I-40 over Jefferson St. and the Nashville & Western Railroad, including the Pedestrian Bridge over I-40

  • Thursday September 19 Through Wednesday September 25, 7AM-7PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Jefferson St. under I-40 in order to install the containment system.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on Dickerson Rd. from Trinity Lane to SR 155(Briley Pkwy.) and on US 431 from Dickerson Rd. to Whites Creek Pike

  • Sunday September 22 through Tuesday September 24, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Trinity Lane for pavement marking.
  • Sunday September 22 through Wednesday September 25, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Dickerson Rd. for milling the roadway.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 255 (Donelson Pike) from SR 1 to Royal Pkwy.

  • Thursday September 19, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Donelson Pike in order to install guardrail.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 65 (Whites Creek Pike) from Eatons Creek to the Robertson Co. Line

  • Monday September 23 through Wednesday September 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Whites Creek Pike in order to install guardrail.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Installation of an Overhead Sign on I-40 near Donelson Pike

  • Wednesday  September 18 through Tuesday September 24, 9AM-3PM, There will be a right shoulder closure westbound on I-40 near the Donelson Pike exit (exit 216) in order to drill and pour overhead sign footing.  All lanes will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Installation of Signal on Nolensville Rd. at the Intersection of Sunset Rd.

  • Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Nolensville Rd. at Sunset Rd. in order to install guardrail and bore under the roadway.

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:

  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as needed basis:

  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements on SR 255 at the intersection of Allen Road and Old Elm Hill Pike

  • Sunday September 22 through Wednesday September 25, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Donelson Pike @ Allen Road in order to install conduit and set the signal poles.
  • Look Ahead: Thursday September 26 through Friday September 27, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Donelson Pike @ Allen Road in order to install conduit and set the signal poles.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements on US431 (21st Ave) at the intersection of Children’s Way and Capers Ave.

  • Thursday September 19, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on 21st Ave @ Children’s Way and Capers Ave in order for NES to relocate an existing guy wire.

MAURY COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 99 from I-65 to SR 106

  • Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 9AM-3PM and 6PM-6AM (excluding Saturday and Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 99 for installation of guardrail, milling, and paving the roadway.
  • Saturday September 21, 6AM through Monday September 23, 6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 99 for installation of guardrail, milling, and paving the roadway.

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

  • Wednesday September 18 through Tuesday September 24, 9PM-6AM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on both I-24 eastbound and westbound (approximately between Mile Marker 57 and Mile Marker 86) and SR 840 (approximately between Mile Marker 48 and Mile Marker 57) for road boring and conduit installation.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Bridge Repair on Rocky Fork Rd. over I-24

  • Friday September 20, 8PM through Monday September 23, 5AM, There will be a total bridge closures on Rocky Fork Rd. over I-24 near MM 69 for bridge full and partial depth repairs.

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 10 (US 231) from SR 265 to south of Hartman Dr. and from the I-40 ramp to south of Gay St.

  • Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 9AM-3PM,(excluding Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 (US 231) south of I-40 in both directions for guardrail, and paving operations.
  • Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 (US 231) north of I-40 in both directions for milling, guardrail, and sidewalk repair operations

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for cold planning operations.  One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 9AM-2PM, There will be rolling road blocks on I-40 eastbound and westbound for blasting.  Police officers will be utilized.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy) South of SR 96 to SR 6

  • Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Liberty Pike for storm drain installation.
  • Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Mack Hatcher just north of Cool Springs Blvd. in order to place rip rap.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, City of Franklin Construction

  • From now through November 2013, Hillsboro Road (SR 106) will be reduced from four lanes to two lanes between SR 96 and Independence Square to begin utility relocation for a sidewalk project.

  • Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:

  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties

DAVIDSON COUNTY

  • Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates.  All lanes will remain open. 
  • Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 8PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on various state routes for crack sealing.  One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday September 19 through Wednesday September 25, 9AM-3PM and 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations on the interstates in Davidson County for Drain Cleaning Operations.  This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Thursday September 19, 8PM-5AM, The two left lanes will be closed on I-24 westbound between mile marker 59 and mile marker 57 for bridge repair. One lane will remain open. 
  • Tuesday September 24, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound between mile marker 199 and mile marker 205 for milling and paving.  One lane will remain open. 

SMITH COUNTY

  • Monday September 23, 9AM-3PM, There will be one lane closed on State Route 24 westbound over the Caney Fork River at log mile 13.38 for bridge inspection.  One lane will remain open. 
  • Tuesday September 24 and Wednesday, September 25, 9AM-3PM, The right lane will be closed on I-40 eastbound between mile marker 263 and mile marker 267 for bridge inspection.  One lane will remain open. 

TDOT Utilities

  • Thursday September 19, 7PM-6AM, There will be lane closures on Charlotte Pike in Davidson County near Nashville West in order for Metro Water to extend an 8” water line and connect to an existing 12” line.
  • Sunday September 22, 6AM-11AM, There will be rolling roadblocks on SR 840 (Wilson County) near Exit 72 (Central Pike) eastbound and westbound in order for AT&T to place a section of aerial cable.
  • Saturday September 21, 6AM-5PM, There will be one lane closed in each direction on SR 10 ( US 231, Church St., Rutherford Co.) from Warrior Dr. to 1630 Church St. in order for Comcast to perform cable maintenance.
  • Sunday September 22 beginning at 6AM, There will be rolling roadblocks (approximately 3) on I-24 in order to pull cable over the interstate at the Church St. overpass.

TDOT Materials and Tests

  • Thursday September 19, 9AM-12 Noon, There will be a rolling lane closure in Lawrence County on SR 6 from Rabbit Trail to Shoal Creek Bridge while cores are taken from the roadway.  Flaggers will be utilized.
  • Friday September 20, 9AM-12 Noon, There will be a rolling lane closure in Perry County on SR 13 bridge over the Buffalo River while cores are taken from the roadway.  Flaggers will be utilized.

TDOT Traffic

(City of Franklin)

  • Monday September 23, at 7PM through Wednesday September 25,  at 6AM, Storm drain installation across S.R. 106 south of Del Rio Pike. As part of ongoing improvements to S.R. 106, contractor to temporarily close S.R. 106 in both directions for installation of 60 inch diameter cross drain. Contractor will provide appropriate traffic control devices including detour signage and message boards.
