September 5th –11th, 2013

BEDFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 231 (SR 10) from Moreland Ave. to SR 82 Including Bridge Deck Repair

  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 (US 231) in order to mill and pave the roadway.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd.

  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 10AM-2PM, There will possibly be rolling roadblocks on I-65 southbound between Dickerson Rd. and Exit 88 (I-24 ramp) in order to blast.
  • Friday September 6, 9PM-2AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound in order to pick up litter along the barrier rail.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-440 Eastbound from I-65 to I-24

  • Thursday September 5 and Monday September 9 through Wednesday September 11, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-440 EB for grinding of the mainline. This will also include the closure of the SB Nolensville Road entrance ramp.
  • Friday September 6, 8PM through Monday September 9, 5AM, There will be a complete closure of I-440 EB from I-65/440 East intersection to the I-440 East/I-24 intersection, including the closure of both entrance ramps off Nolensville Road. This closure will be necessary for the grinding of the I-440 mainline.
  • Monday September 9 through Wednesday September 11, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-440 WB for the epoxy overlay on the bridge over CSX Railroad.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through December 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.
  • Thursday September 5 and Friday September 6, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane shifts on Gallatin Rd. in order to pave at the bridge.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on Dickerson Rd. from Trinity Lane to SR 155(Briley Pkwy.) and on US 431 from Dickerson Rd. to Whites Creek Pike

  • Monday September 9 through Wednesday September 11, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures in order to install construction signs and adjust manholes and valve boxes.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 1 (Murfreesboro Rd) from Rural Hill Rd to Rutherford Co Line

  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 1 for striping the roadway and installation of signs.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 255 (Donelson Pike) from SR 1 to Royal Pkwy.

  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Donelson Pike in order to stripe the roadway and perform bridge work.
  • Friday September 6, 8PM through Monday September 9, 6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Donelson Pike at the Airport Bridge over the access road for airport parking and the Donelson Pike Bridge over I-40 for bridge repair work.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 65 (Whites Creek Pike) from Eatons Creek to the Robertson Co. Line

  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 9AM-3PM, (excluding Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures on Whites Creek Pike in order to install permanent striping and guardrail.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Installation of an Overhead Sign on I-40 near Donelson Pike

  • Thursday  September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be a right shoulder closure westbound on I-40 near the Donelson Pike exit (exit 216) in order to drill and pour overhead sign footing.  All lanes will remain open.
  • Thursday  September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 9PM-6AM, There will be single left lane closure westbound and eastbound on I-40 near the Donelson Pike exit (exit 216) in order to remove median barrier wall for overhead sign structure footing. Three lanes will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Installation of Signal on Nolensville Rd. at the Intersection of Sunset Rd.

  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Nolensville Rd. at Sunset Rd. in order to install guardrail and bore under the roadway.

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 9AM-3PM, (excluding holiday weekend), There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:

  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 8PM-5AM, (excluding holiday weekend), There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as needed basis:

  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 10 (US 231) from SR 265 to south of Hartman Dr. and from the I-40 ramp to south of Gay St.

  • Thursday September 5 and Wednesday September 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 (US 231) in both directions for milling, guardrail, and sidewalk repair operations.

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 171 (Mt. Juliet Rd.) from the Davidson Co. line to north of SR 265

  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 9AM-3PM, There will alternating lane closures on SR 171 in both directions for pavement scoring and fog sealing the shoulders.

WILSON & SUMNER COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • Sunday September 8, 7AM-3PM and Monday September 9, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on SR 109 in order to off load and set precast concrete beams.  Flaggers will be utilized.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound in order to shift traffic.  One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 9AM-2PM, There will be rolling road blocks on I-40 eastbound and westbound for blasting.  Police officers will be utilized.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on Lewisburg Pike from Les Watkins Rd. to Mack Hatcher Pkwy.

  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 9AM-3PM, (excluding Saturday and Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 106 in order to pave the roadway.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy) South of SR 96 to SR 6

  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on Mack Hatcher southbound just north of Cool Springs Blvd. in order to place rip rap.  Traffic will be shifted to the shoulder of the roadway.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, City of Franklin Construction

  • From now through November 2013, Hillsboro Road (SR 106) will be reduced from four lanes to two lanes between SR 96 and Independence Square to begin utility relocation for a sidewalk project.

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends) There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY

  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates.  All lanes will remain open.  
  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 8PM-1AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on various state routes for crack sealing.  One lane will remain open. 
  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 9AM-3PM and 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations on the interstates in Davidson County for drain cleaning Operations.  This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Tuesday September 10, 8PM-5AM, The on-ramp to I-65 south from I-440 eastbound will be closed for milling and paving.  Traffic will be diverted to the shoulder lane.   
  • Tuesday September 10, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound between mile marker 199 and mile marker 205 for milling and paving.  Two lanes will remain open.   

 

SMITH COUNTY

  • Tuesday September 10, 7PM-3AM, The right lane will be closed on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 263 for bridge repair.  One lane will remain open. 

HOUSTON COUNTY

  • Thursday September 5 through Wednesday September 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 46 between the 5.0 mile marker and 6.0 mile marker for milling and paving.  One lane will remain open.  

HICKMAN COUNTY

  • Tuesday September 10 and Wednesday September 11, 6PM-1AM, There will be intermittent left lane closures on I-40 in both directions between mile marker 148 and mile marker 163 for slope mowing.   One lane will remain open. 

DICKSON COUNTY

  • Tuesday September 10 and Wednesday September 11, 6PM-1AM, There will be intermittent left lane closures on I-40 in both directions between mile marker 163 and mile marker 181 for slope mowing.   One lane will remain open.  

 

TDOT Utilities

  • Wednesday September 4 through Saturday September 7, 9AM-3PM, The City of Franklin will have a lane closed on SR 246 (West Main St.) near 10th Ave. in order to open cut the roadway for utility work.
