CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over an overflow and the Big Sandy River.  Wednesday October 2 through Wednesday October 8:  There will be lane closures in both directions on State Route 424, going into Yuma from Clarksburg, traffic will be reduced to one lane, with a temporary signal, for duration of the project.

 

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over the Rutherford Fork Obion River and overflows. Wednesday October 2 through Wednesday October 8:  A signal system is being utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 9.5’ lane restriction.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR-20 (US-412):  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Wilkinstown Road/Bear Creek Road to State Route 69.

DYER COUNTY, SR-3:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in directions daily, from Biffle Road to South of State Route 105

DYER COUNTY, SR-104:  Bridge Repair on State Route 104 over Lewis Creek Canal.  A signal system will be utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 10’ 9” lane restriction.  Speed limit has been reduced to 30 MPH.

DYER COUNTY, SR-211:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 77 to State Route 105.  Flagmen will be present.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40, Interchange at SR 222:  Wednesday October 2 through Wednesday October 8:  The east and westbound shoulders at Exit 42 are CLOSED.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-193:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Shelby County line to State Route 194.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-196:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from (US-64) State Route 15 to the junction of State Route 196 and Hickory Withe Road.

FAYETTE and SHELBY COUNTY, (SR-385) Future I-269:  Construction of I-269 from the interchange with State Route 385 to the Mississippi State line. State Route 385 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction.  The project intersects with US 72 (State Route 86) in the area of the Mann Road intersection.  State Route 86 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction in the median. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-57:  Miscellaneous safety improvements at the intersection of State Route 57 & State Route 142, will result in temporary lane closures each day.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction for the West Tennessee Solar Farm and Welcome Center, including removal of Albright Road bridge.  Wednesday October 2 through Wednesday October 8:  The westbound shoulders are temporarily closed for construction of ramp extension.

Monday October 6 & Tuesday October 7, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closure including inside/outside shoulders, eastbound & westbound I-40 (MM 49.12 to MM 50.53), for milling and paving operations.  These closures will not be simultaneous.  Weather Permitting.

Monday October 6 & Tuesday October 7, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closure including inside/outside shoulders, eastbound & westbound I-40 (MM 56.04. to MM 56.95), for milling and paving operations.  These closures will not be simultaneous.  Weather Permitting.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction at the intersection of State Route 76 & I-40 at the weigh station Wednesday October 2 through Wednesday October 8:  There are no scheduled closures.

HENDERSON COUNTY, I-40:
Monday September 29
through Friday October 3, 9:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.:  There will be temporary lane closure eastbound & westbound I-40 (MM 101.0 to MM 108.0), for milling and paving operations.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

HENDERSON COUNTY, SR-22:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the I-40 Bridge to the Carroll County Line.

HENDERSON COUNTY, SR-22:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 20 (US 412) to Jane Street.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-69 (US-641):  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from South Market Street to State Route 54/West Wood Street.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-69 (US-641):  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 69A to US-79 (State Route 76).

LAKE COUNTY, SR-22:  A widening project on State Route 22, south of State Route 21 in Tiptonville to existing State Route 22 (Cates Landing Rd.).  There are lane shifts throughout the project.  State Route 22 is closed from intersection of State Route 212 and Vaughn Road North to Cates Landing Road. Detour 3.5 miles on Vaughn Road to State Route 22 Cates Landing Road.  State Route 78 is CLOSED to thru traffic.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-88:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Edith-Nankipoo Road to State Route 210.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-208:  A widening project on State Route 208 (State Route 209/Cleveland Street) beginning at State Route 209 (Washington Street) and extending to State Route 208 at US-51/State Route 3 in Ripley.  There will be temporary lane closures daily.

MADISON COUNTY, US-70 (SR-1):  A bridge repair project over Gilmers Creek.  Wednesday October 2 through Wednesday October 8:  There will be possible lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound directions on State Route 1, for duration of the project.  Flaggers may be present.

MADISON COUNTY, US-70 (SR-1):  A bridge repair project.  Wednesday October 2 through Wednesday October 8:  There will be lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound directions on State Route 1, with a temporary signal, for duration of the project with 11’ 3” lane restriction.

MADISON COUNTY, US-70 (SR-1):  A bridge repair project over Royal Street and West Tennessee Railroad. Workers will be present under the bridge, repairing cracks.  Motorists should use caution while traveling through construction zone.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-5:  A bridge repair project over Middle Fork Forked Deer River.  There will be workers under the bridge making repairs.  Motorists should use caution while traveling through construction zone.

OBION COUNTY, SR-431:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the North Fork Obion River bridge to US-51 (State Route 3).

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 8:
Wednesday October 2
through Wednesday October 8:  The exit ramp for westbound Interstate 40 to Second Street, will be closed for about six months.  The Exit ramp from Westbound I-40 to Riverside Drive has been narrowed to 14 feet. “Wide loads” are restricted from using this. The Entrance ramp from Riverside Drive to I-40 Eastbound has been narrowed to 12 feet and “wide loads” are restricted from using this. 

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 9:
Wednesday October 2
through Wednesday October 8:  Traffic will remain in the current configuration until mid-November 2014.  Traffic on the bridge is configured as follows: work zone on the north side of the bridge, 2 lanes westbound traffic in the center of the bridge and 2 lanes eastbound traffic on south side of the bridge. Two lanes will remain open in each direction.  Lane closures on the I-40 bridge will be required until approximately March 15, 2015.

through Wednesday October 8:  I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPHWednesday October 08, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a.m.:  The right lane of westbound I-40 will be temporary closed to construct a haul road.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 North of SR-385 to North of Walnut Grove Rd.:  Wednesday October 2 through Wednesday October 8:  A widening project on I-240 will cause temporary lane closures. 

Wednesday October 1, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  The exit ramps from eastbound I-240 to eastbound Poplar Avenue and westbound Poplar and the entrance ramp from eastbound Poplar Avenue to eastbound I-240 as well as the closure of 1 left lane of westbound I-240, will be CLOSED between MM 13.0 and MM 15.5, for the final installation of underpass lighting at Park Avenue, eastbound Poplar Avenue and westbound Poplar Avenue.  WEATHER PERMITTING.

Saturday October 4, 6:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m.:  One left lane of I-240 eastbound will be CLOSED between MM 15.0 and MM 14.0 and 1 right lane of westbound I-240 between MM 13.0 and MM 16.0, for the installation/removal of portable barrier.  WEATHER PERMITTING.

Sunday October 5 through Thursday October 9, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  One left lane of I-240 westbound will be CLOSED between MM 15.0 and MM 14.0, for the repositioning of barrier for the installation of median glare screen.  WEATHER PERMITTING.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements  Wednesday October 02 through Wednesday October 09:  Modification of the I-40/I-240 interchange.
Beginning Monday February 10:  The right lane of eastbound Summer Avenue was CLOSED, beginning just west of the existing I-240 northbound bridge over Summer Avenue, for the installation of portable barrier rail to allow for construction of Abutment 1/Wall 12.  This will be a permanent lane closure.

Beginning Saturday September 20:  There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 between Walnut Grove and I-40 interchange.  One lane of northbound I-240 will also be CLOSED in this same section.  It is expected that this closure will last for about 4 weeks to allow for the construction of new foundations.

Wednesday October 1 & Thursday October 2 & Monday October 6, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  Keep closed the currently closed left lane of I-40 eastbound, beginning south of Exit 12A.  The left lane and 2 middle lanes of I-40 eastbound will be CLOSED, beginning just north of Exit 12A, to allow for removal of the existing overhead sign between Exits 12A and 12B.  Exits 12A and 12B will remain open during this work.  During the removal of the overhead sign truss, we will need to stop traffic for approximately 20 minutes for the lift and removal.

Beginning Wednesday, October 1 at 8:00 p.m. through Thursday October 2 at 6:00 a.m.:
Two lanes of I-40 eastbound (I-240 southbound) between Exits 12A (White Station) and 12B (Sam Cooper Boulevard) will be closed for the removal of the existing overhead sign truss. Exits 12A and 12B will remain open during this closure. There will be temporary traffic stoppages as the sign truss is removed.

Saturday, October 4, 2014 6:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.: 
The two left lanes of I-240 northbound and the left lane of I-240 southbound, beginning just north of the Walnut Grove interchange, will be CLOSED to allow for removal/reset of portable barrier rail and for the removal of the median barrier to allow for the installation of foundations for overhead signs. The final condition will be a shoulder closure on I-240 southbound and the left lane closure on I-240 northbound for approximately 4 weeks.

Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5, 2014 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 a.m. each day:
The left two lanes of I-40 east and westbound lanes will be closed at various locations beginning west of Exit 15 (US64) to west of Exit 12 Sycamore View to allow the existing portable barrier rail to be installed at new locations in order to construct new Dynamic Message Sign foundations in the median.

Friday, October 10, 2014 8:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m.  Monday October 13, 2014: 
The left lane of I-240 northbound, beginning just south of the existing Greenway bridge and extending to just north of Exit 12B (Sam Cooper Blvd.), will be closed to allow removal/reset of portable barrier rails and for the delivery and installation of structural steel girders.

Friday, October 10, 2014 8:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. Monday October 13, 2014: 
Exit 12B (Sam Cooper Blvd. traveling from I-40 eastbound) will be closed to allow for the delivery and installation of structural steel girders. Also, Exit 12B from I-240 northbound will be closed. The work is weather dependent.  Should inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances prevent this work from occurring as scheduled, it will be rescheduled.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1 (US-51)Monday October 6 through Thursday October 9, 7:00 p. m. through 6:00 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures on State Route 1 between mile marker 31.5- 29.5 in both directions, for striping operations between Crump Boulevard and Union Avenue.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (US-61):  A replacement of the bridge over Illinois Central Railroad from South Parkway to McLemore Avenue.  Roadway is CLOSED, a detour route is posted.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-15:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Bartlett Boulevard to the Bridge over Fletcher Creek.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64):
Monday September 29
through Friday October 3, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.:  There will be temporary lane (right) closures eastbound and westbound on State Route 15 near Wolf Chase Mall, for the interconnection of signals.  Two lanes will remain open.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64):
Monday September 29
through Wednesday October 8, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures eastbound (left) and westbound (right) on State Route 15 to perform a connection to an existing MLG&W water main.  Two lanes will remain open.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 (US-72):  Construction on State Route 86 (US-72) for a widening project north of Quinn Road to State Route 57 (Poplar Avenue) in Collierville. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction.  South Rowlett Street is closed to through traffic in the vicinity of the State Route 86 bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Motorists may use Wilson Street to Harris Street as a detour.

SHELBY COUNTY, Grade, drain, pave SR-177 (Germantown Rd); Crestridge Rd to Stout Rd:

Wednesday October 01 through Wednesday October 08:  There will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 177 (Germantown Road), between Germantown City Limits to Stout Road. The closures will be intermittent and for as short a time as possible.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-204:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Raleigh-LaGrange Road to State Route 14.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385:  Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Loosahatchie River. Traffic will be reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane; a twelve (12’) lane will be maintained in each direction.  Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

Monday October 6 & Tuesday October 7:  Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Memphis-Arlington Road at log mile 8.5 & Hall Creek at log mile 7.2.  Traffic will be reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane in each direction for milling operations.

Wednesday October 8 through Wednesday October 15:  Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Memphis-Arlington Road at log mile 8.5 & Hall Creek at log mile 7.2.  Traffic will be reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane in each direction for paving operations.

TIPTON COUNTY, SR-14:  Monday October 6 & Tuesday October 7:  There will be one lane CLOSED in each direction between log mile 9.3 and 9.4, for the installation of a drainage pipe.

TDOT REGION 4, Relensing of Snowplowable Markers:  October 1 through Wednesday October 8:  There are no scheduled closures.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Retracing of Pavement Marking with Paint:  Friday October 3 through Friday October 10, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be night time “rolling road blocks” at the following locations, for retracing of pavement marking lines.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • SR-5, Madison County, northbound & southbound from Southside Walmart to Madison/Gibson County line (LM 8.0 to MM 24.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-186, Madison County, northbound & southbound from SR-1 (US-70)/Airways Boulevard to US 45 (SR-5) (MM 0.0 to MM 8.7), one lane will remain open.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail Repair:  Monday October 6 through Thursday October 10, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be night time lane closures at the following locations, to repair damaged guardrail and concrete barrier rail.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Fayette County, westbound (MM 33.0 to MM 34.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Shelby County, eastbound (MM 1.0 to MM 2.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Shelby County, westbound (MM 14.0 to MM 24.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-240, Shelby County northbound (MM 30.0 to MM 30.5), one lane will remain open.
  • I-55, Shelby County northbound (MM 2.0 to MM 3.0), one lane will remain open.  This will also include a partial lane closure on the I-240 Southbound Ramp to I-55 Northbound.
  • SR-385, Shelby County, eastbound (MM 17.0 to MM 18.0), one lane will remain open

Concrete Barrier Rail

  • I-40, Shelby County, eastbound median (MM 0.0 to MM 2.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-240, Shelby County, eastbound & westbound median (MM 13.0 to MM 30.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-55, Shelby County, northbound median (MM 7.0 to MM 12.5), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-385, Shelby County, eastbound & westbound (MM0.0 to MM 5.0), one lane will remain open.

TDOT MAINTENANCE:
Wednesday October 1 through Wednesday October 8, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.: 
There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.  Weather Permitting.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-22:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the ramp from State Route 431 to north of the ramp from State Route 43.
Sunday October 05, 7 a. m.-12:00 p. m.:  State Route 22 ramp to State Route 431 will be CLOSED, for epoxy overlay.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-118:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Mud Creek bridge to the Kentucky State Line.  Flagmen will be present.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-431:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Glenwood Drive to the Obion County Line.
