BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

  • From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Pedestrian Crosswalk Bridge Repair over I-40 near 2nd Avenue

  • Friday November 21, 9PM through Monday November 24, 5AM, There will be lane closures on I-40 in both directions, between MM 210 and MM 211, for repairs to the pedestrian crosswalk bridge. Two lanes will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Grading, Drainage, and Paving of I-40 West Exit Ramp at Church Street

Look Ahead:

  • Friday December 5, 9PM through Monday December 8, 5AM, The exit ramp from I-40 West to Church Street will be closed to excavate and relocate the existing 24” water main.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Installation of Interchange Lighting on SR 386 (Vietnam Veterans Blvd) at the Junction of Conference Drive

  • From now through Wednesday December 31, 7AM-4PM, There will be shoulder closures on Vietnam Veterans Blvd at Conference Drive for installation of lighting.
  • Monday November 24 through Tuesday November 25, 9AM-3PM and Wednesday November 26, 9AM-12Noon, There will be a traffic shift on SR 386 westbound at Conference Drive from MM 1.6 to MM 1.3 to include the exit ramp to Conference Drive.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) from US 31W (US 41/SR 11/Dickerson Pike) to US 31E (SR 6/Gallatin Pike)

  • Thursday November 20 through Tuesday November 25, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on Old Hickory Blvd, from Dickerson Pike to Gallatin Pike, so that milling, concrete work, and paving can be done.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Retracing of Pavement Markings on Various Interstate and State Routes

  • Thursday November 20 and Friday November 21, 9AM-3PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on the following routes so that testing of roadway striping may be done. Troopers will be utilized. All testing is weather dependent. All testing schedules are subject to change.
  • Thursday November 20 – I-65 at MM 92.9, 93.9, and 95.3
  • Friday November 21 – I-40 at MM 203.5, 216.1, 218.2, 218.7, and 219.8
  • Saturday November 22, 6AM-6PM, There will be a rolling lane closure and a short-term right lane closure on I-65 in both directions at Armory Drive so that on-call striping work may be done.  

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

  • Thursday November 20 through Tuesday November 25, 9AM–3PM and Wednesday November 26, 9AM-12Noon,    There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 (approximately between MM 58 and Elam Road) and on SR 840 (approximately between MM 48 and MM 57) for pull box installation and conduit proving/repairs.

 

DICKSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 48 over I-40

  • Saturday November 22, 6AM through Monday November 24, 6AM, There will be a lane closure on I-40 westbound, from MM 164 to MM 162, in order to perform field repairs to existing steel beam. One lane will remain open.

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

  • Thursday November 20 through Tuesday November 25, 7AM-5PM and Wednesday November 26, 7AM-12Noon, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations and utility relocation.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Construction of New Interchange on SR 1 (Broad St) at SR 10/SR 96 (Memorial Blvd/Old Fort Pkwy)

  • Thursday November 20 through Tuesday November 25, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 96, Broad Street, Ridgely Road, and College Street for underground utility crossings.

 

SMITH COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on US 70N (SR 24/SR 53/Cookeville Hwy) over Caney Fork River

  • Thursday November 20 through Monday December 15, Traffic will be reduced to one lane on US 70N for grading operations. Traffic will be controlled by use of temporary traffic signals in that area.

 

SUMNER AND WILSON COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • Thursday November 20 through Tuesday November 25, 9AM-3PM and Wednesday November 26, 9AM-12Noon, There will be lane closures for permanent striping and installation of bridge expansion joints.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Grading, Drainage and Paving on I-65 Ramps to SR 253 (Concord Rd)

  • Sunday November 23 through Tuesday November 25, 8PM-6AM, There will be temporary lane closures on Concord Road in order to install signal poles.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 840 to SR 248, Interchange Modifications and Widening on SR 248 from Lewisburg Pike to west of I-65

  • Thursday November 20 through Tuesday November 25, 1 PM, (excluding weekends), There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 in both directions, between MM 61 and MM 63, for blasting.
  • Thursday November 20 through Tuesday November 25, 9AM-3PM and Wednesday November 26, 9AM-12Noon (weather permitting), There will be alternating lane closure on Goose Creek Bypass at the top of the interstate ramps for paving operations.

  • Thursday November 20 through Tuesday November 25, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations for drain cleaning operations. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Thursday November 20 and Friday November 21, 9AM-3PM, There will be mobile operations on I-40 in both directions, between MM 207 and MM 209, for drain cleaning operations.  This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.

 

TDOT Bridge Inspection

Davidson County

  • Thursday November 20, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on Hillwood Blvd westbound over the CSX RR and Richland Creek in the Belle Meade area will be closed for bridge inspection. One lane will remain open.

 

TDOT Region 3 Utilities

Davidson County

  • From now through Friday December 5, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on SR 24 (Lebanon Road), from Rose Street to Old Lebanon Pike, in order for NES to remove control cable from the existing pole line.
  • From now through Monday December 15, 9AM-2:30PM, There will be lane closures on SR 1 (Charlotte Pike), from Sawyer Brown Rd to SR 251 (Old Hickory Blvd), in order for NES to replace existing poles & anchors.
  • From now through Wednesday December 17, 9AM–3PM, There will be lane closures on SR 45 from (Old Hickory Blvd), from Brick Church Pike to Dickerson Pike, in order for NES to rebuild the pole line in a west to east direction.

 

Smith County

  • Sunday November 23, 8AM–10AM, There will be two rolling roadblocks on I-40 in both directions at MM 257, near the Middleton Hwy 151 overpass bridge, in order to pull strand and fiber over the interstate.

 

Wilson County

  • Wednesday November 19 through Tuesday November 25, 7PM-6AM, There will be lane closures on SR 171 (S Mt. Juliet Rd) at Providence Parkway in order for Piedmont Gas to install 20’ of 6” gas main in the northbound, outside lane.

 

Miscellaneous Non-TDOT Projects

Instituform Technologies

  • From now through Friday November 21, 7PM-6AM, There will be lane closures on SR 11 (Dickerson Pike), from Ben Allen Road to E Trinity Lane, in order to perform maintenance on sanitary sewer lines.

 

HCA 

  • From now through Wednesday April 29, 2015, 6AM, 10AM and/or 2PM, The on-ramp to I-40 westbound from Charlotte Avenue (downtown) will be closed for 5-10 minutes for blasting operations in the area. This will occur weekly, Tuesdays through Saturdays.
