State Soil Conservation Committee to Meet Dec. 8

NASHVILLE - The State Soil Conservation Committee will meet Dec. 8 at 11:45 a.m. CST at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs Hotel, located at 700 Cool Springs Blvd. in Franklin, Tenn. 

The agenda includes approval of previous meeting minutes, welcome of a new board member, reports from ex-officio members, partner agencies and organizations, review of old business and new business and general discussion. The meeting is open to the public.

The SSCC was created by the Tennessee General Assembly in 1939 for the purpose of assisting in the development of local soil conservation districts. The committee advises the Tennessee Department of Agriculture on matters pertaining to soil conservation and water quality improvement.
