DYER COUNTY, SR-3:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Biffle Road to South of State Route 105. State Route 3 speed limit has been reduced to 60 MPH.

DYER COUNTY, SR-104:  Bridge Repair on State Route 104 over Lewis Creek Canal. A signal system will be utilized. Speed limit has been reduced to 30 MPH. Beginning January 05, 2015, State Route 104 over Jones Creek at log mile 20.02, traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 10’ 9” lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-182:  State Route 182, bridge over Coon Creek is CLOSED. Detour route is posted.

DYER COUNTY, SR-211:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 77 to State Route 105. Flagmen will be present.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40, Interchange at SR 222:  Wednesday December 17 through Wednesday December 24:  The east and westbound shoulders at Exit 42 are CLOSED.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-193:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Shelby County line to State Route 194.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-196:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from (US-64) State Route 15 to the junction of State Route 196 and Hickory Withe Road.

FAYETTE and HAYWOOD COUNTY, SR-222:  A grading project on State Route 222 from north of I-40 to south of Camp Ground Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

FAYETTE and SHELBY COUNTY, (SR-385) Future I-269:  Construction of I-269 from the interchange with State Route 385 to the Mississippi State line. State Route 385 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction. The project intersects with US 72 (State Route 86) in the area of the Mann Road intersection. State Route 86 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction in the median. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY,  SR-15 (US-64):  A widening project on State Route 15 from Firetower Road to west of Bigbee Branch. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction at State Route 76 and I-40 at the weigh station.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-140:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from west of Rex Jackson Loop to State Route 76.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-88:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Edith-Nankipoo Road to State Route 210.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-208:  A widening project on State Route 208 (State Route 209/Cleveland Street) beginning at State Route 209 (Washington Street) and extending to State Route 208 at US-51/State Route 3 in Ripley. There will be temporary lane closures daily.

MCNAIRY COUNTY-SR-57:  A bridge replacement project will cause a reduction in lanes in both directions on State Route 57. Traffic is reduced to one lane, with a temporary signal, for duration of the project.

OBION COUNTY, SR-431:  Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the North Fork Obion River bridge to US-51 (State Route 3).

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 8:

Wednesday December 17 through Wednesday December 24: 

Exit 1A – Westbound I-40 to 2nd Street – is open, but has a narrow left shoulder; use caution.

Exit 1 – Westbound I-40 to Riverside Drive – is open, but has a narrow left shoulder; use caution.

The entrance to Eastbound I-40 from Riverside Drive is open, but has a narrow right shoulder; use caution.

Sunday December 21, 6AM-11:59PM: BOTH entrances to I-40 Westbound from Front Street and from Riverside Drive will be temporarily CLOSED. Detours will be set up directing motorists to enter the Interstate (Westbound) at Danny Thomas Boulevard.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 9:

Wednesday December 17 through Wednesday December 24:  Traffic on the Hernando DeSoto Bridge over the Mississippi River will continue to be reduced to two narrow lanes in both directions for over a mile through the work zone. Westbound traffic in the work zone starts in two narrow center lanes and shifts in the middle of the work zone to the outside lanes. Motorists are advised to slow down to 45 miles per hour through the shift. Wednesday, December 17 the westbound traffic shift will change. Westbound traffic will be in two narrow lanes on the north side of the bridge. The right lane leading to the traffic shift will be open and the left lane prior to the traffic shift will be CLOSED. Eastbound traffic will be in two narrow lanes on the south side of the bridge. The work zone will be in the center of the bridge. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Canada Road
Wednesday December 17 through Wednesday December 24
I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH. Currently there is paving in the median on I-40 east and west of the bridge. There are barrier rail placed on the westbound entrance ramps to I-40 but not impeding traffic. There are lane shifts eastbound and westbound on I-40. Beginning December 05, there are transitions southbound and northbound on Canada Road shifting from two lanes to one lane.

Friday December 19, Saturday December 20 & Monday December 22, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be a lane closure westbound for a lane shift on I-40 to allow grinding and restriping.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 North of SR-385 to North of Walnut Grove Rd.:

Sunday December 14 through Thursday December 18: There will be a lane/ramp closure for final paving of westbound I-240 from BOP to EOP as well as ramps at Walnut Grove and Poplar interchanges. Either one left lane or two right lanes of westbound I-240 between mile marker 13.0 and mile marker 16.0, will be CLOSED. Weather Permitting.

Monday December 15 through Thursday December 18:  One left or one right lane of eastbound I-240 and westbound I-240 will be CLOSED, on an as needed basis, from BOP to EOP for final striping and painting of median barrier. Weather Permitting.

Sunday December 21 & Monday December 22:  One left or one right lane of eastbound I-240 and westbound I-240 will be CLOSED, on an as needed basis, from BOP to EOP for final striping and painting. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements:

Summer Avenue: The right lane east and westbound is CLOSED in both directions, beginning just west of the existing I-240 northbound bridge over Summer Avenue to allow for construction access.

Sam Cooper EB: The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound is CLOSED, beginning east of Perkins Road to the I-40/I-240 interchange.

Sam Cooper WB: The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Westbound is CLOSED, beginning east of the I-40/I-240 interchange.

I-240:  There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 between Walnut Grove and I-40 interchange.  One lane of northbound I-240 is also CLOSED in this same section.

I-40 WB: The outside shoulder is closed from Sycamore View to the Wolf River Bridge for construction access.

Thursday, December 18, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: There will be intermittent lane closures on I-240 from BOP (LM 13.4) to EOP (LM-9.2) for pothole repair.

LOOK AHEAD:  Saturday January 10 & Sunday January 11, 6:30 a. m.-5:30 p. m.The right and middle lanes of northbound I-240/westbound I-40 will be CLOSED, beginning south of Exit 12C, to allow for removal of portable barrier rail, grinding of existing pavement marking and installation of pavement marking. Upon completion, the left and middle lanes of northbound I-240/westbound I-40 will be CLOSED, beginning south of Exit 12C, to allow for grinding of existing pavement marking and installation of pavement marking.

Exits 12C, 12B, and 12A will remain open during both parts of this work.

LOOK AHEAD:  Saturday January 10 & Sunday January 11, 6:30 a. m.-5:30 p. m.The left two lanes of

I-240 southbound will be CLOSED, beginning south of the I-40/I-240 Interchange, to allow for grinding of

existing pavement marking and installation of pavement marking. Upon completion, close middle two lanes of I-240 southbound, beginning south of the I-40/I-240 Interchange, to allow for grinding of existing pavement marking and installation of pavement marking. Upon completion, close right two lanes of I-240 southbound, beginning south of the I-40/I-240 Interchange, to allow for grinding of existing pavement marking and installation of pavement marking. Exit 13 will remain open during all 3 parts of this work.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1 (US-51):  Wednesday December 17 through Wednesday December 24: There are no scheduled closures.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1 (US-70):  Monday December 17 through Friday December 24:  There will be temporary lane closures on State Route 1 in both directions between mile marker 30.5 and mile marker 31.5, to facilitate geotechnical borings.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (US-61):  A bridge repair project on State Route14 over I-55 and on South Parkway West over I-55.

Wednesday December 17 through Wednesday December 24:  The northbound and southbound shoulders are closed for expansion joint repairs.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 (US-72)Construction on State Route 86 (US-72) for a widening project north of Quinn Road to State Route 57 (Poplar Avenue) in Collierville. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction.  South Rowlett Street is closed to through traffic in the vicinity of the State Route 86 bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Motorists may use Wilson Street to Harris Street as a detour.

SHELBY COUNTY, Grade, drain, pave SR-177 (Germantown Rd); Crestridge Rd to Stout Rd:

Wednesday December 17 through Monday December 22:  There will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 177 (Germantown Road), between Germantown City Limits (LM-1.65) to Stout Road (LM-2.40). The closures will be intermittent and for as short a time as possible.

Tuesday December 23 until NOON:  There will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 177 (Germantown Road), between Germantown City Limits (LM-1.65) to Stout Road (LM-2.40). The closures will be intermittent and for as short a time as possible.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385:  Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Loosahatchie River. Traffic is reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane; a twelve (12’) lane will be maintained in each direction.  Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

Wednesday December 17 through Wednesday December 24:  Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Memphis-Arlington Road & Hall Creek. A traffic shift will cause traffic to move on both east and westbound bridges.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail Repair and Concrete Barrier Rail Monday December 15 through Friday December 19, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be night time lane closures at the following locations, to repair damaged guardrail. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Decatur County, eastbound and westbound (MM 119.0 to MM 123.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Fayette County, eastbound and westbound (MM 33.0 to MM 34.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Madison County, eastbound median (MM 86.5 to MM 87.5), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Shelby County, eastbound and westbound (MM 13.0 to MM 19.0), one lane will remain open. Also, this includes partial ramp closures on I-40 westbound “On” ramp from US-64/Exit 18 and I-40 eastbound “Off” ramp to Germantown Parkway/Exit 16.
  • I-240, Shelby County, eastbound and westbound (MM 23.0 to MM 31.0), one lane will remain open. Also, this includes partial ramp closures at Lamar Avenue and Getwell Avenue.
  • I-55, Shelby County, northbound Exit 12C (MM 12.0 to MM 12.5), this will be a partial ramp closure.
  • I-55, Shelby County, northbound (MM 3.0 to MM 4.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-3, Shelby County northbound (MM 0.0 to MM 1.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-14, Shelby County, northbound (MM 26.0 to MM 27.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-14, Tipton County, northbound and southbound (MM 6.0 to MM 16.0), one lane will remain open.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Repair of Longitudinal Cable Rail:  Wednesday December 17 through Wednesday December 24: There are no scheduled closures.

  There will be a day time “rolling roadblock” at the following locations, for installation of spray thermoplastic at various patch locations. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Benton County, eastbound and westbound (MM 129.0 to MM 132.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Madison County, eastbound and westbound (MM 83.0 to MM 86.0), one lane will remain open.
