2014 Public Turkey Hunting Applications Available for the Milan Army Ammunition Plant in West Tennessee

MILAN, Tenn.  --- The Milan Army Ammunition Plant will conduct two public drawings for permits during the 2014 spring turkey hunting season.  

There are 16 permits available for each season. The first season is March 29-April 19 and the second season is April 20-May 11. The cost is $20 per season. Application deadline is Feb. 23 and applicants must be age 21 or older. The selected hunter is not allowed to bring dependents or guests on his/her hunts.

To apply send the following information to the address below:

*Name, address, phone number, and state hunter safety card or verification (from any state)

*There is a $5 application fee for each season requested (check or money order payable to United States Treasury (The $5 will be applied toward purchase if drawn. The application fee is non-refundable).

*Indicate if applying for first or second season, or both.

Milan Army Ammunition Plant encompasses 22,436 acres in Gibson and Carroll counties. Public hunting is allowed on four areas around the southern portion and two additional areas on the western portion of the installation.
