$8,000 Reward Offered by Multiple Agencies in Wilson County Bombing

Lebanon, TN — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Nashville Field Division, announces a reward of $8,000 for anyone who has information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the bombing at the residence located at 580 Vance Lane, Lebanon, Tennessee.  This reward is a collaborative effort between ATF, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), Wilson County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Bomb and Arson Unit (SFMO B&A), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). 

On February 10, 2014, the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call to 580 Vance Lane, Lebanon, Tennessee. Upon arrival, a male was found deceased and an injured female was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital. The deceased male is identified as John Setzer, age 74 and the injured female is identified as Marion Setzer, age 72. Marion Setzer is currently in critical condition at Vanderbilt Hospital.

 The ongoing criminal investigation is being conducted by ATF, TBI, WCSO, SFMO B&A, and the FBI. Anyone with the information about the incident should call 1-800 TBI FIND (1-800-824-3463). The public is encouraged to remain vigilant and to notify law enforcement authorities if encounter any suspicious items.

Law enforcement authorities have processed the scene at the residence and will begin to scale back operations in the general neighborhood. The evidence in this investigation is currently at the ATF and TBI laboratories pending analysis. Law enforcement authorities are following up on information already received through the tipline.

The State Fire Marshal's Bomb and Arson Unit investigates the cause, origin and circumstances of fires, explosions, and other criminal acts where a fire or explosion is involved; including the investigation of all related deaths.
