Interstate 240 Westbound Ramp to Poplar Avenue Will Close Temporarily

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Work to remove an overhead sign will require lane closures and a temporary full closure of the I-240 westbound ramp to Poplar Avenue (Exit 15 B/C) this weekend. The closures are as follows:

  • Saturday, February 15, 2014, 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Crews will close one lane of the I-240 westbound Poplar ramp for installation of barrier rail. One lane of the ramp will remain open.
  • Sunday, February 16, 2014, 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.: Crews will CLOSE the I-240 westbound ramp to Poplar Avenue (Exit 15 B/C) to remove an overhead sign.

During the closure, motorists can take Walnut Grove to Yates Road or Mt. Moriah Road to Whitestation Road to Poplar Avenue. The Memphis Police Department and TDOT HELP trucks will also be on-site to assist with traffic.

The work is weather dependent. Should inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances prevent this work from occurring as scheduled, it will be rescheduled.
