HAMBLEN COUNTY, SR 32/US 25E near Reed Chapel Road: Beginning Tuesday, March 4, 2014, motorists should be alert for possible daily lane closures during daylight hours through this area as crews perform concrete roadway repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

HANCOCK COUNTY, SR 70/SR 33 Interchange: Motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures at various times during daylight hours through this bridge construction project.  Motorists should be alert for reduced speeds and use extreme caution in this area.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, I-40 East and West Bridge over the French Broad River near Mile Marker 425: I-40 East and West across the bridge over Douglas Lake near Mile Marker 425 is reduced to one lane in each direction as crews continue this bridge rehabilitation project.  These lane reductions will be in place around the clock for approximately two years.  Motorists should be alert for lane shifts and narrowed lanes in this area.  Traffic loads in excess of 12 feet in width will be prohibited and must follow a detour route.  The wide load detour will be US 25/SR 9 between Exits 424 and 432. Motorists should expect potential delays in this area during peak travel times.  Local traffic should consider using US 25/SR 9 as an alternate route during peak travel periods.  I-81 and I-26 may be used as an alternate route for I-40 “thru traffic” to by-pass this project during peak travel periods. JEFFERSON COUNTY, I-81 from the I-40 Interchange to the Hamblen County Line: Motorists should be alert for possible daily shoulder closures through this area during daylight hours as crews perform clearing operations through this resurfacing project.  Motorists should be alert for equipment present and use caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-40 East and West between Mile Markers 390 and 392 near Rutledge Pike: Through Sunday, March 2, 2014, motorists should be alert for lane closures and brief rolling roadblocks in this area as crews perform bridge repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area. Thru traffic on I-40 may use I-640 as an alternate to avoid this work zone.

KNOX COUNTY, I-40 East between Alcoa Highway (Exit 386B) and Henley Street (Exit 388): On Saturday, March 1, 2014, motorists should be alert for mobile lane closures between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews remove overhead detour signs.  Motorists should be alert for slowed traffic and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-275 South between Baxter Avenue and I-40 Interchange: On Saturday, March 1, 2014, motorists should be alert for mobile lane closures between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews remove overhead detour signs.  Motorists should be alert for slowed traffic and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-40 West Weigh Station Ramp Improvement Project: Motorists should be alert for lane shifts and reduced lane widths between Campbell Station Road and Watt Road.   Motorists should be alert for reduced speed and for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-40 West between Cherry Street (Exit 390) and Hall of Fame Drive (Exit 389):  On Monday, March 3, 2014, motorists should be alert for a possible lane closure and brief rolling roadblock approaching this area between the hours of 8:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews remove an overhead sign structure.  Motorists should be alert for stopped or slowed traffic approaching this area and use extreme caution.  Thru traffic on I-40 may use I-640 as an alternate to avoid this work zone.

KNOX COUNTY, SR 62 (Oak Ridge Hwy. /Western Ave.) between Schaad Road and Copper Kettle Road: Motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures at various times throughout this widening project.  Motorists traveling in this area should be alert for workers and equipment present and be alert for changing traffic conditions, detours, traffic shifts and use caution through this area. Woodsmith Road at SR 62 is closed to thru traffic for construction. The following roads are currently closed to thru traffic for construction: Shortt Road at Western Avenue; South Hinton Road between Western Avenue and Third Creek Road; Jimmy Carter Road at Western Avenue and Beaver Ridge Road at Western Avenue.  A short section of Ball Camp Pike between Western Avenue and Goldenrod Street is also closed for construction.  Motorists should be alert for changing conditions and follow signed detour routes. KNOX COUNTY, SR 158 Neyland Drive approaching the Henley Bridge: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures on weekdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through this area as crews perform overhead bridge work.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area. . KNOX COUNTY, SR 33 Maynardville Highway between Temple Acres Drive and the Union County Line: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times as work begins through this widening project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, US 129/SR 115 at Maloney Road: Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use caution through this intersection improvement project.

KNOX COUNTY, SR 131 Emory Road between Gill Road and Clinton Highway: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times through this widening project for bridge construction, utility and equipment crossings.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, US 321/SR 73/ at I-75 North at Exit 81: Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use caution through this intersection improvement project.

LOUDON COUNTY, US 321/SR 73 between SR 2 and City Park Drive: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures at various times through this project. Motorists should be alert for changing conditions, workers present, construction equipment and use extreme caution through this area.

ROANE COUNTY, I-40 West near Mile Marker 341.5: On Monday, March 3, 2014 through Friday, March 7, 2014 motorists should be alert for daily lane closures in this area between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. as crews perform roadway maintenance work.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

ROANE COUNTY, I-40 East and West near Exit 347:. On Friday, February 28, 2014, motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures during daylight hours through this bridge repair project. Currently, crews are performing repairs in the center lane across the bridge. The left lane has been narrowed to 12 feet in width with no shoulders. Traffic exiting at Exit 347 must use the right lane approaching this area.  Wide loads traveling I-40 East must use the right lane approaching this area. Motorists should be alert for lane shifts, narrowed lanes, closed shoulders, reduced speeds, construction personnel and equipment present and expect potential delays through this bridge repair project. Motorists traveling in the right lane of I-40 East approaching the exit ramp at Exit 347 should use extreme caution and be prepared for motorists slowing down to use the exit ramp.

ROANE COUNTY, I-40 East near Mile Marker 347:  On Saturday, March 1, 2014, motorists should be alert for a right lane closure approaching the bridge across US 27 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. the following morning as crews perform milling and paving operations. During this time the I-40 Eastbound exit ramp at Mile Marker 347 (Harriman) will be closed to traffic.  Motorists wishing to access US 27 from I-40 East should follow the signed detour to Exit 350 and access I-40 West back to Exit 347. Vehicles in excess of 12 feet in width will not be allowed through this area due to the restricted lane width across the bridge at Mile Marker 347.  All vehicles in excess of 12 feet in width must exit I-40 East prior to Exit 340 (Airport Road) between the hours of 10 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 and 8 a.m.  Sunday, March 2, 2014 and follow alternate routes.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

ROANE COUNTY, US 27 underneath I-40 Exit 347: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures daily in this area as crews perform overhead bridge work.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

SCOTT COUNTY, SR 29 Bridge over Roaring Paunch Creek near Log Mile 24.7 and 25.8: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures at various times as crews complete final items through this bridge repair project.  Motorists should be alert for changed conditions and use extreme caution in this area.

SEVIER COUNTY, SR 66 in Sevierville SR 139 (Douglas Dam Rd.) and SR 338 W (Boyd’s Creek Hwy):  Motorists should be alert for changed traffic conditions through this project.  Short duration traffic stops in both directions may occur daily Monday through Friday through this project for utility crossings. SEVIER COUNTY, US 441 Southbound between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg:  Motorists should be alert for a right lane closure on US 441 South just beyond traffic light 10 at Conner Heights Road in Pigeon Forge due to a recent slide.  Motorists should use caution in this area.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, US 11E/SR 34 at US 19E/SR 37: A temporary detour of SR 37/US19E is in place at the intersection of SR 34/US 11E. Traffic signals have been installed and are operational at the intersection of SR34/37 and SR37/44. The detour is estimated to be in place until August 2014. Motorists should be alert for changed conditions and follow signed detours. Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use extreme caution through this bridge construction and intersection reconstruction project.

UNICOI COUNTY, SR 107 at Main Street:  Motorists should use extreme caution and be alert for construction personnel and equipment entering and exiting this construction project.

UNION COUNTY, Existing SR 33 Bridge over Clinch River (Norris Lake) Weight Restrictions: The existing State Route 33 Bridge over Norris Lake is posted with weight limit restrictions and is being strictly enforced.  Weight restrictions are: 5 axle vehicles are 35 tons; 3 or 4 axle vehicle is 22 tons; 2 axle vehicles are 20 tons.  VEHICLES WEIGHING IN EXCESS OF THE RESTRICTED WEIGHTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO CROSS THE BRIDGE AND MUST FOLLOW A DETOUR ROUTE. Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures with flaggers directing traffic at various times and use extreme caution approaching the bridge.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, SR 81 at SR 353: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures at various times and use extreme caution through this intersection improvement project.

WASHINGTON/SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-26 at SR 75 (Exit 13) Interchange Improvement Project: Motorists should be alert for right shoulder closures with portable concrete barrier rail through this interchange modification project.  Motorists should use extreme caution when traveling through this area.

WASHINGTON/SULLIVAN COUNTY, SR 75 between SR 36 and SR 357: Intermittent lane closures may be implemented in the north and south bound lanes throughout the construction project at various times.  Motorists should expect potential delays, be alert for changing conditions and use caution in this area.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, SR 36 between SR 354 and SR 75: Motorists should be alert for lane shifts, possible lane closures and flag persons directing traffic at various times through this project.  Orchard Avenue is closed.  Traffic is still shifted at Spurgeon Island Road.  Traffic will also be shifted from Boone Avenue to Boring Chapel Road.  From Boone Avenue to near Hammitt Road will be split traffic separated by a barrier wall.  Short duration traffic stops in both directions may occur daily through this project for utility and equipment crossings.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.
