Cummins Falls State Park to Host Marathon February 22

Day Will Include Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K

Cookeville, Tenn. – Cummins Falls State Park will host a marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K on Saturday, February 22. The marathon and half marathon will begin at 8 a.m. The 10K and 5K will begin at 10 a.m.

A one-mile run for a progressive marathon (and fun run) will also begin on Feb. 22, allowing participants to log the distance they run each day until they reach 26.2 miles.

In addition the marathon, additional park programs will be held throughout the day, including a live animal program featuring a bobcat, eagle and snakes. Other activities include music, food and a hike led by State Naturalist Randy Hedgepath.

Registration packets can be picked up on Friday, Feb. 21 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Foothills Running Co. on Broad Street in Cookeville. On the morning of the race, packets can be picked up from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 a.m.
