BENTON COUNTY, SR-191 over I-40:
Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13:
  There will be possible lane closures in both directions on State Route 191.  At present there is a lane shift/closures eastbound and westbound I-40 at mile marker 133.0.

LOOK AHEAD:  Beginning Friday March 14:  I-40 overhead bridge at MM 133 (SR-191) will be CLOSED.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over an overflow and the Big Sandy River.  Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13:  A signal system is being utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 10’ lane restriction.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over the Rutherford Fork Obion River and overflows.  Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13:  A signal system is being utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 9.5’ lane restriction.

CHESTER COUNTY, SR-22:  Bridge Repair on State Route 22 over Dry Creek at the intersection of Willis Road.  Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13:  A signal system is active and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 11’ lane restriction.  A detour will be put in place for Willis Road during the lane closure.

CROCKETT/GIBSON COUNTY, SR-188:  Construction of five (5) concrete box beam bridges on State Route 188 at the Crockett/Gibson County line.  The roadway is CLOSED with a detour route posted.

DYER COUNTY, SR-104:  Bridge Repair on State Route 104 over overflow.  A signal system will be utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 10’ 9” lane restriction.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40, Interchange at SR 222:  Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13:  The east and westbound shoulders at Exit 42 are CLOSED.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-194:  Six (6) bridges are being replaced on State Route 194 between State Route 57 and State Route 15 (US-64).  Motorists should watch for construction vehicles entering and exiting the work zones.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-194:  Temporary lane closures are possible for the installation of safety improvements on State Route 194 in Fayette County.  A flagman will be onsite to direct traffic.

FAYETTE COUNTY SR-196:  Temporary lanes closures are possible for the installation of safety improvements on State Route 196 in Fayette County.  A flagman will be on site to direct traffic when the new signs are being installed.

FAYETTE and SHELBY COUNTY, (SR-385) Future I-269:  Construction of I-269 from the interchange with State Route 385 to the Mississippi State line.  The project intersects with US 72 (State Route 86) in the area of the Mann Road intersection.  State Route 86 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction in the median.  Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zone and also crossing the roadway.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-104:  A widening project from west of State Route 188 to Milligan Lane and Gumwoods Road will result in temporary lane closures each day.  Traffic has been shifted from east of State Route 188 to the proposed eastbound lanes.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-18:  Construction of a concrete box beam bridge and paving on State Route 18 over Cypress Creek.  Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13:  There will be lane closures north and southbound with a temporary signal in place.  One lane will remain open, in each direction.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction for the West Tennessee Solar Farm and Welcome Center, including removal of Albright Road bridge. Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13:  There are no scheduled closures.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction at the intersection of State Route 76 & I-40 at the weigh station ramps.  Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13:  There are no scheduled lane closures.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-22:  A widening project on State Route 22, south of State Route 21 in Tiptonville to existing State Route 22 (Cates Landing Rd.).  There are lane shifts throughout the project.  State Route 22 is closed from intersection of State Route 212 and Vaughn Road North to Cates Landing Road. Detour 3.5 miles on Vaughn Road to State Route 22 Cates Landing Road.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-3:  Bridge Repair (2) on US-51 (State Route 3) over Chambers Branch.  Traffic is reduced to one lane with a 10’ 6” lane restriction.  Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-208:  A widening project on State Route 208 (State Route 209/Cleveland Street) beginning at State Route 209 (Washington Street) and extending to State Route 208 at US-51/State Route 3 in Ripley.  There will be temporary lane closures daily.

MADISON COUNTY, US-70 (SR-1): A bridge repair project over Gilmers Creek. Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13:  There will be lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound directions on State Route 1, with a temporary signal, for duration of the project.  Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 11’ lane restriction.  Signal was activated January 22, 2014. Beginning March 14, 2014, traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 11’ 3” lane restriction at LM-31.05.

MADISON COUNTY, (SR-5): A bridge repair project over Middle Fork Forked Deer River log mile 21.89.  Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13:  Shoulders are closed in both the northbound and southbound direction.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55:  The I-55 Welcome Center is CLOSED due to construction of a new facility.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 8:
Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13:
  The left inside shoulder of the exit ramp for westbound Interstate 40 to Second Street, will be closed for about six months.  The exit ramp from Westbound I-40 to Riverside Drive has been narrowed to 14 feet and “wide loads” are restricted from using this.  The right shoulder of the entrance ramp from Riverside Drive to I-40 Eastbound has been narrowed to 12 feet and “wide loads” are restricted from using this. 

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 9:
Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13: 
Eastbound lane of I-40 is closed. The closure is required for safe access and egress for seismic retrofit on the Arkansas approach of the Hernando DeSoto Bridge. The lane closure is anticipated to remain in place until June 2014.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Memphis Smartway Transportation (ITS) I-40 beginning at SR-177 (Germantown Road) in Shelby County extending to Braden Road Overpass in Fayette County:

SHELBY COUNTY-Annual Preventative and Unscheduled Maintenance of the Memphis I. T. S. System Equipment, including the TMC  Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13:  There are no scheduled closures.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 westbound over Levee Road:
Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13The westbound shoulder will be closed for the duration of the project.  Levee Road between Thomas Street (State Route 3) and N. Bellevue Blvd. will be CLOSED during construction.  Detour route is posted.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 North of SR-385 to North of Walnut Grove Rd.:  Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13A widening project on I-240 will cause temporary lane closures. Traffic has been moved to temporary ramps at the Walnut Grove interchange.

Friday, March 7, 8:00 p. m. through Monday, March 10, 6:00 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures eastbound I-240, 2 left lanes at MM 13.0 to MM 15.0 and westbound I-240, 1 left lane at mile marker 15.0 to mile marker 13.0, for the construction of overhead sign footings in median at select locations.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

LOOK AHEAD:  Friday, March 14, 8:00 p. m.  through Monday, March 17, 6 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures eastbound I-240, 2 left lanes at MM 13.0 to MM 15.0 and westbound I-240,1 left lane at mile marker 15.0 to mile marker 13.0, for the construction of overhead sign footings in median at select locations.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13:  Modification of the I-40/I-240 interchange.

Monday February 10:  The right lane of eastbound Summer Avenue was CLOSED, beginning just west of the existing I-240 northbound bridge over Summer Avenue, for the installation of portable barrier rail to allow for construction of Abutment 1/Wall 12.  This will be a permanent lane closure that will last approximately 2 months.

Saturday March 8, 6:30 a. m.-5:30 p. m.:  The ramp from Eastbound Sam Cooper (10B) to I-240 northbound / I-40 Westbound will be closed to allow striping and installation of portable barrier rail.
Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (US-61):  A replacement of the bridge over Illinois Central Railroad from South Parkway to McLemore Avenue.  Roadway is CLOSED, a detour route is posted.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 (US-72):  Construction on State Route 86 (US-72) for a widening project north of Quinn Road to State Route 57 (Poplar Avenue) in Collierville. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction.  South Rowlett Street is closed to through traffic in the vicinity of the State Route 86 bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Motorists may use Wilson Street to Harris Street as a detour.

SHELBY COUNTY, Grade, drain, pave SR-177 (Germantown Rd); Crestridge Rd to Stout Rd:
Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13: 
There will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 177 (Germantown Road), between Germantown City Limits (LM-1.65) to Stout Road (LM-2.40).  Flagmen will be utilized during these closures to ensure safety from oncoming traffic and construction equipment.  The closures will be intermittent and for as short a time as possible.

NOTE:  The outside lane on northbound State Route 177 at the Stout intersection is closed due to a gas line leak that MLGW has not yet completed repairing.  This MLGW work is not part of the project.  However, we have notified MLGW of our concerns with the partially open hole and have asked that they cover it completely with roadway plates until they can complete the repair and open the lane.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Retracing of Pavement Marking with Paint:  Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13:  There are no scheduled closures.

Saturday March 8, 12:00 a. m.  through Monday March 10, 6:00 a. m:
  There will be night/day time lane closures at the following location, for the repair of damaged concrete.

  • I-40, Madison County eastbound lanes from MM 93.5 to MM 95.5, one lane will remain open.  Work will consist of sawing of concrete and joint sealing, during nighttime hours.  Work on the weekend will consist of removing and pouring concrete during daytime hours.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail Repair
Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13: 
There are no scheduled closures.

TDOT MAINTENANCE:
Wednesday March 5 through Wednesday March 13, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.
There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.  Weather Permitting.
