Lane Closures Scheduled on Interstate 240 in Shelby County

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will have temporary lane closures for the weekend of April 12-13, 2014, on I-240 northbound in the I-40/240 interchange in Shelby County.

Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The left lane of I-240 at exit 12A will be closed for ramp work and installation of barriers in the construction zone along Frontage Road.

Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The right lane of I-240 at exit 12A will be closed for ramp work along Frontage Road.

The work is weather dependent.  Should inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances prevent this work from occurring as scheduled, it will be rescheduled.

TDOT will use message boards to direct motorists around the detour route. The Tennessee Highway Patrol and TDOT HELP trucks will also be on site to assist with traffic.
