BENTON COUNTY, SR-191 over I-40:
Wednesday April 16
through Wednesday April 23:  At present there is a lane shift/closures eastbound westbound I-40 at mile marker 133.0.
Friday March 14 through Thursday May 22I-40 overhead bridge at mile marker 133.0 (State Route 191) will be CLOSED.
Friday April 25 through Sunday April 27, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: 
There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 133.0, for a lane shift, due to construction of overpass bridge.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.
Monday April 28 through Thursday May 1, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: 
There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 133.0, for a lane shift, due to construction of overpass bridge.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over an overflow and the Big Sandy River. Wednesday April 23 through Wednesday April 30:  A signal system is being utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 10’ lane restriction.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over the Rutherford Fork Obion River and overflows.  Wednesday April 23 through Wednesday April 30:  A signal system is being utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 9.5’ lane restriction.

CHESTER COUNTY, SR-22:  Bridge Repair on State Route 22 over Dry Creek at the intersection of Willis Road.  Wednesday April 23 through Wednesday April 30:  A signal system is active and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 11’ lane restriction.  A detour will be put in place for Willis Road during the lane closure.

CROCKETT/GIBSON COUNTY, SR-188:  Construction of five (5) concrete box beam bridges on State Route 188 at the Crockett/Gibson County line.  The roadway is CLOSED with a detour route posted.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR-20 (US-412):  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Wilkinstown Road/Bear Creek Road to State Route 69.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR-69:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from SR-20 (US-412) to north of Rock Crusher Lane.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR-202:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 69 to State Route 114.

DYER COUNTY, I-155:  Monday May 5 through Monday May 12, 6:00 a. m.-7:00 p. m.:  Crack sealing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily from log mile 0.00 to approximately log mile 15.00 State Route 20 (US-412).

DYER COUNTY, SR-104:  Bridge Repair on State Route 104 over overflow.  A signal system will be utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 10’ 9” lane restriction.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40, Interchange at SR 222:  Wednesday April 23 through Wednesday April 30:  The east and westbound shoulders at Exit 42 are CLOSED.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-194:  Six (6) bridges are being replaced on State Route 194 between State Route 57 and State Route 15 (US-64).  Motorists should watch for construction vehicles entering and exiting the work zones.

FAYETTE and SHELBY COUNTY, (SR-385) Future I-269:  Construction of I-269 from the interchange with State Route 385 to the Mississippi State line.  The project intersects with US 72 (State Route 86) in the area of the Mann Road intersection.  State Route 86 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction in the median.  Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zone and also crossing the roadway.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-104:  A widening project from west of State Route 188 to Milligan Lane and Gumwoods Road will result in temporary lane closures each day.  Traffic has been shifted from east of State Route 188 to the proposed eastbound lanes.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-152 (Joe Lucky Sr. Highway):  Miscellaneous safety improvements
Thursday April 24 through Thursday May 1:  There will be possible lane closures at the intersection of State Route 186 from the Humboldt City limits to State Route 186 for milling operations.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-18:  Construction of a concrete box beam bridge and paving on State Route 18 over Cypress Creek.  Wednesday April 23 through Wednesday April 30:  There will be lane closures north and southbound with a temporary signal in place.  One lane will remain open, in each direction.

HARDIN COUNTY, (SR-69,SR-421,SR-104,SR-22,SR-142,SR-57,SR-128):
Thursday April 24 through Wednesday April 30, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: 
There will be possible “rolling” lane closures on various State Routes, for the retracing of painted pavement markings.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction for the West Tennessee Solar Farm and Welcome Center, including removal of Albright Road bridge. Wednesday April 23 through Wednesday April 30:  There are no scheduled closures.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction at the intersection of State Route 76 & I-40 at the weigh station Wednesday April 16 through Wednesday April 23:  There are no scheduled closures.

HENDERSON COUNTY,  I-40:  Resurfacing from west of State Route 22 extending to west of State Route 114 will result in temporary lane closures each day.

Sunday April 27 through Thursday May 1, 7:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be lane closures eastbound & westbound I-40 between mile marker 108.0-116.0, for cold planing operations.  One lane will remain open.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

HENDERSON COUNTY, (SR-114):  Miscellaneous safety improvements
Thursday April 24 through Thursday May 01, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.:  There will be possible lane closures from State Route 201 to State Route 20/US-412, for the installation of rumble strips and the installation of various roadway signs.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-22:  A widening project on State Route 22, south of State Route 21 in Tiptonville to existing State Route 22 (Cates Landing Rd.).  There are lane shifts throughout the project.  State Route 22 is closed from intersection of State Route 212 and Vaughn Road North to Cates Landing Road. Detour 3.5 miles on Vaughn Road to State Route 22 Cates Landing Road.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-3:  Bridge Repair (2) on US-51 (State Route 3) over Chambers Branch. Traffic is reduced to one north and one southbound lane with a 12’ lane restriction.  Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-208:  A widening project on State Route 208 (State Route 209/Cleveland Street) beginning at State Route 209 (Washington Street) and extending to State Route 208 at US-51/State Route 3 in Ripley.  There will be temporary lane closures daily.

MADISON COUNTY, US-70 (SR-1): A bridge repair project over Gilmers Creek.
Wednesday April 23 through Wednesday April 30:  There will be lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound directions on State Route 1, with a temporary signal, for duration of the project.  Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 11’ lane restriction.  Signal was activated January 22, 2014.
Beginning March 14, 2014, traffic was reduced to one lane with a 11’ 3” lane restriction.

MADISON COUNTY, (SR-5): A bridge repair project over Middle Fork Forked Deer River.
Wednesday April 23 through Wednesday April 30:  At present there is a lane shift/closure on State Route 5 near Porter Cable.

MADISON COUNTY, (SR-5, Highland Drive) US-45:  Miscellaneous safety improvements
Wednesday April 23 through Wednesday April 30, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.:   There will be possible lane closures at the intersection of North Highland Avenue and Lamar Drive, for the installation of signs, thermoplastic stripping and the upgrade of handicap ramps.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 8:
Wednesday April 23
through Wednesday April 30:  The left inside shoulder of the exit ramp for westbound Interstate 40 to Second Street, will be closed for about six months.  The exit ramp from Westbound I-40 to Riverside Drive has been narrowed to 14 feet and “wide loads” are restricted from using this.  The right shoulder of the entrance ramp from Riverside Drive to I-40 Eastbound has been narrowed to 12 feet and “wide loads” are restricted from using this. 

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 9:
Wednesday April 23
through Wednesday April 30:  Eastbound lane of I-40 is closed. The closure is required for safe access and egress for seismic retrofit on the Arkansas approach of the Hernando DeSoto Bridge. The lane closure is anticipated to remain in place until June 2014.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 from west of Davies Plantation Road LM-22.98 to the Fayette County line log mile 30.60:
Friday April 25, 8:00 p. m through Monday April 28, 6:00 a. m.: 
There will be temporary lane closure eastbound and westbound between Exit 24/25 and the Shelby/Fayette County line (MM 23.0 to MM 28.0), for bridge repair work.
Sunday April 27 through Thursday May 1, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closure east and westbound between US-64/Exit 18 and the Shelby/Fayette County line (MM 21.0 to MM 28.0), for milling and patching operations.
Sunday April 27 through Thursday May 1, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closure east and westbound between US-64/Exit 18 and the Shelby/Fayette County line (MM 23.0 to MM 28.0), for paving operations.
LOOK AHEAD:  Friday May 2, 8:00 p. m. through Monday May 05, 6:00 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closure east and westbound between Exit 24/25 and the Shelby/Fayette County line (MM 23.0 to MM 28.0), for bridge repair work.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Memphis Smartway Transportation (ITS) I-40 beginning at SR-177 (Germantown Road) in Shelby County extending to Braden Road Overpass in Fayette County:

through Wednesday April 30:  There are no scheduled closures.

Wednesday April 30, 9AM-4PM:  There will be temporary day time lane closures, for the purpose of performing maintenance activities on cameras and wireless communication devices.

  • I-40, Shelby County westbound (MM 0.3 to MM 0.0) on Mississippi River Bridge, two lanes will remain open.  Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 North of SR-385 to North of Walnut Grove Rd.: Wednesday April 23 through Wednesday April 30:  A widening project on I-240 will cause temporary lane closures. Traffic has been moved to temporary ramps at the Walnut Grove interchange.
Monday April 21 through Friday April 25, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures eastbound I-240, 1 left lane between mile marker 16.0 & mile marker 13.0 and westbound I-240, 2 left lanes between mile marker 13.0 & mile marker 16.0, for the installation of foundations, for overhead sign foundations in median barrier.  Weather Permitting.
Saturday April 26, 6:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: 
There will be temporary lane closures eastbound I-240, 1 left lane between MM 16.0 & MM 13.0 and westbound I-240, 2 left lanes between MM 13.0 & MM 16.0, for the installation of foundations, for overhead sign foundations in median barrier.  Weather Permitting.
Monday April 28 through Friday May 2,
8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures eastbound I-240, 2 right lanes between mile marker 16.0 & mile marker 13.0 and westbound I-240, 1 right lane between mile marker 13.0 & mile marker 16.0, for the installation of underpass lighting at all overpasses.  Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements Wednesday April 23 through Wednesday April 30:  Modification of the I-40/I-240 interchange.  No scheduled closures.
Beginning Monday February 10:  The right lane of eastbound Summer Avenue was CLOSED, beginning just west of the existing I-240 northbound bridge over Summer Avenue, for the installation of portable barrier rail to allow for construction of Abutment 1/Wall 12.  This will be a permanent lane closure.
Beginning Saturday March 22:  The right lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound was CLOSED, beginning east of Perkins Road to the I-40/I-240 interchange for bridge construction.  The right lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Westbound was CLOSED, beginning east of the I-40/I-240 interchange for bridge construction.  Westbound Sam Cooper Boulevard traffic should utilize the inside lane of I-40.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55:  The I-55 Welcome Center is CLOSED due to construction of a new facility.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (US-61):  A replacement of the bridge over Illinois Central Railroad from South Parkway to McLemore Avenue.  Roadway is CLOSED, a detour route is posted.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 (US-72):  Construction on State Route 86 (US-72) for a widening project north of Quinn Road to State Route 57 (Poplar Avenue) in Collierville. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction.  South Rowlett Street is closed to through traffic in the vicinity of the State Route 86 bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Motorists may use Wilson Street to Harris Street as a detour.

SHELBY COUNTY, Grade, drain, pave SR-177 (Germantown Rd); Crestridge Rd to Stout Rd:
Wednesday April 23
through Wednesday April 30:  There will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 177 (Germantown Road), between Germantown City Limits (LM-1.65) to Stout Road (LM-2.40).  Flagmen will be utilized during these closures to ensure safety from oncoming traffic and construction equipment.  The closures will be intermittent and for as short a time as possible. NOTE:  The outside lane on northbound State Route 177 at the Stout intersection is closed due to a gas line leak that MLGW has not yet completed repairing.  This MLGW work is not part of the project.  However, we have notified MLGW of our concerns with the partially open hole and have asked that they cover it completely with roadway plates until they can complete the repair and open the lane.

 

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail Repair:  Monday April 28 through Wednesday April 30, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m:  There will be night time lane closures at the following locations, to repair damaged guardrail.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Haywood/Madison Counties, eastbound (MM 58.0 to MM 93.0), one lane will remain open. Also,  this will include a partial ramp closure @ I-40 westbound Exit 93.
  • I-55, Shelby County, northbound (MM 5.0 to MM 6.0), one lane will remain open.

TDOT REGION 4, Relensing of Snowplowable Markers:  Wednesday April 23 through Wednesday
April 30, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:
  There will be night time lane closures at the following locations, for the installation of snowplowable markers.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Madison County, eastbound & westbound (MM 68.0 to MM 95.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Henderson County, eastbound & westbound (MM 95.0 to MM 119.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Carroll County, eastbound & westbound (MM 119.0 to MM 120.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Decatur County, eastbound & westbound (MM 120.0 to MM 125.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Benton County, eastbound & westbound (MM 125.0 to MM 134.0), one lane will remain open.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Retracing of Pavement Marking with Paint:  Wednesday April 23 through Wednesday April 30:  There are no scheduled closures.

TDOT MAINTENANCE:

April 23 through Wednesday April 30, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.  Weather Permitting.
