Weekend Lane Closures on I-55 South at Cane Creek

MEMPHIS, Tenn. –The Tennessee Department of Transportation will have temporary weekend lane closures on the I-55 bridge over Cane Creek for several weekends this summer to make repairs to the north and southbound bridges. The repairs will continue this weekend on the southbound bridge. The closures are as follows:

On Friday, July 18, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. through Monday, July 21, 2014 at 5:00 a.m. crews will close two of the three southbound lanes on I-55 to replace the expansion joints.  One lane will remain open.

Tennessee Highway Patrol and TDOT HELP trucks will assist with traffic control. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes around the work zone.

The work is weather dependent.  Should inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances prevent this work from occurring as scheduled, it will be rescheduled.
