CARROLL COUNTY, SR-105:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Gibson County line to State Route 190.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over an overflow and the Big Sandy River.  Wednesday August 06 through Wednesday August 13:  A signal system is being utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 10’ lane restriction and there is a 40’ length restriction for vehicles during construction.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over the Rutherford Fork Obion River and overflows.  Wednesday August 06 through Wednesday August 13:  A signal system is being utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 9.5’ lane restriction.

CROCKETT COUNTY, SR-20 (US-412)Friday August 8, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.: Materials & Test will be coring the roadway between Chestnut Bluff Road and Main Street in Friendship.  One lane will remain open, in each direction.

CROCKETT COUNTY, (SR-54, SR-76, SR-88, SR-152, SR-188, SR-221):
Thursday August 07 through Wednesday August 13, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: 
There will be possible “rolling” lane closures on various State Routes, for retracing of painted pavement markings.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR-20 (US-412):  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Wilkinstown Road/Bear Creek Road to State Route 69.

DYER COUNTY, I-155Bridge repair (2) over overflow right & left.  Beginning Monday August 11 through Tuesday September 02:  There will be lane closures in both directions on I-155, for installation of concrete barrier rail.  There will also be a 13’ width restriction in both directions.

DYER COUNTY, SR-104:  Bridge Repair on State Route 104 over Lewis Creek Canal.  A signal system will be utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 10’ 9” lane restriction.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40, Interchange at SR 222:  Wednesday August 06 through Wednesday August 13:  The east and westbound shoulders at Exit 42 are CLOSED.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40, SHELBY COUNTY, (SR-385) Future I-269:  Construction of I-269 from the interchange with State Route 385 to the Mississippi State line. State Route 385 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction.  The project intersects with US 72 (State Route 86) in the area of the Mann Road intersection.  State Route 86 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction in the median. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-104:  A widening project from west of State Route 188 to Milligan Lane and Gumwoods Road will result in temporary lane closures each day.  All traffic is traveling on the westbound lanes.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-18:  Construction of a concrete box beam bridge and paving on State Route 18 over Cypress Creek.  Wednesday August 06 through Wednesday August 13:  There will be lane closures north and southbound with a temporary signal in place.  One lane will remain open, in each direction.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-57:  Miscellaneous safety improvements at the intersection of State Route 57 & State Route 142, will result in temporary lane closures each day.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction for the West Tennessee Solar Farm and Welcome Center, including removal of Albright Road bridge.  Wednesday August 06 through Wednesday August 13:  There are no scheduled closures.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction at the intersection of State Route 76 & I-40 at the weigh station Wednesday August 06 through Wednesday August 13:  There are no scheduled closures.

HAYWOOD COUNTY SR-180:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 19 to the Lauderdale County line.  Flagger will be present.

HENDERSON COUNTY, (SR-22, SR-104, SR-114, SR-200 & SR-201):
Thursday August 07 through Friday August 15, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: 
There will be temporary lane closures on various State Routes, for installation of miscellaneous safety improvements.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-69 (US-641):  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 69A to US-79 (State Route 76).

LAKE COUNTY, SR-22:  A widening project on State Route 22, south of State Route 21 in Tiptonville to existing State Route 22 (Cates Landing Rd.).  There are lane shifts throughout the project.  State Route 22 is closed from intersection of State Route 212 and Vaughn Road North to Cates Landing Road. Detour 3.5 miles on Vaughn Road to State Route 22 Cates Landing Road.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-180:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Haywood County line to US-51 State Route 3.  Flagger will be present.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-208:  A widening project on State Route 208 (State Route 209/Cleveland Street) beginning at State Route 209 (Washington Street) and extending to State Route 208 at US-51/State Route 3 in Ripley.  There will be temporary lane closures daily.

MADISON COUNTY, US-70 (SR-1):  A bridge repair project over Gilmers Creek.  There will be lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound directions on State Route 1, with a temporary signal, for duration of the project.  Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 11’ lane restriction. 

MADISON COUNTY, US-70 (SR-1):  A bridge repair project over Royal Street and West Tennessee Railroad. The outside lanes will be closed, reducing traffic down to 2-12 foot lanes, 1 eastbound and 1 westbound, also workers will be present under the bridge, repairing cracks.  Motorists should use caution while traveling through construction zone.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-5:  A bridge repair project over Middle Fork Forked Deer River.  There will be workers under the bridge making repairs.  Motorists should use caution while traveling through construction zone.

MADISON COUNTY, (SR-197,SR-1,SR-5,SR-20,SR-43,SR-152,SR-186,SR-198,SR-223):
Thursday August 6 through Wednesday August 13, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.:  
There will be temporary lane closures on various State Routes, for installation of miscellaneous safety improvements.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 8:
Wednesday August 6 through Wednesday August 13: 
The left inside shoulder of the exit ramp for westbound Interstate 40 to Second Street, will be closed for about six months.  The exit ramp from westbound I-40 to Riverside Drive has been narrowed to 14 feet, the left shoulder and a small portion of the lane and “wide loads” are restricted from using this. The entrance ramp from Riverside Drive to I-40 Eastbound has been narrowed to 12 feet and “wide loads” are restricted from using this. 

Monday, July 28, 9:00 a. m.  EXIT 1 – which is the first eastbound exit to Riverside Drive and Front Street was CLOSED. The closure will stay in place for approximately 20 days.  A detour route is posted.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 9:
Wednesday August 6 through Wednesday August 13: 
Traffic on the bridge is configured as follows: work zone on the north side of the bridge, 2 lanes westbound traffic in the center of the bridge and 2 lanes eastbound traffic on south side of the bridge. Two lanes will remain open in each direction.  Lane closures on the I-40 bridge will be required until approximately December 15, 2014.

SHELBY COUNTY-Annual Preventative and Unscheduled Maintenance of the Memphis I. T. S. System Equipment, including the TMC
LOOK AHEAD:  Tuesday August 19 & Wednesday August 20, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.: 
There will be day time lane closures at the following locations, for the purpose of performing maintenance activities on a camera device.  Weather Permitting.

  • I-240, Shelby County, southbound (MM 27.9 to MM 27.5), I-240 & East Person Avenue, one lane closed, two lanes will remain open.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Canada RoadWednesday August 6 through Wednesday August 13:  I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.  There are no scheduled closures.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 from west of Davies Plantation Road LM-22.98 to the Fayette County line log mile 30.60: Friday August 8 through Monday August 11:  There are no scheduled closures.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 North of SR-385 to North of Walnut Grove Rd.: Wednesday August 6 through Wednesday August 13A widening project on I-240 will cause temporary lane closures. Traffic has been moved to temporary ramps at the Walnut Grove interchange.

Thursday August 7, 9:30 a. m.:  There will be a “rolling closure” on eastbound and westbound I-240, for measuring bridge clearances of the inside left lane in each direction. This should not take more than 45 min. per side of the interstate.

Saturday August 9, 6:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.:  There will be ramp/lane closure for the shifting of traffic from Ramps 17D, 17C and 17B to a portion of new CD road 2.  Ramp 17D is the exit ramp from westbound I-240 to westbound Walnut Grove, Ramp 17C is the entrance ramp from westbound Walnut Grove to westbound I- 240 and 17B is the exit ramp from westbound I-240 to eastbound Walnut Grove.  This closure will require intermittent traffic stoppage to allow for final tie-in striping and repositioning of portable barrier rail.  Please note all emergency vehicles will have access at all times. Also, the right lane of I-240 westbound will be CLOSED between MM 16.0 and MM 15.0, for the shifting of barrier rail to open traffic to a portion of new CD Road between Walnut Grove and Shady Grove.   Weather Permitting.

LOOK AHEAD:  Friday August 15, 8:00 p. m. through Saturday August 16, 5:00 p. m.:  Ramp 15H & 15F will be CLOSED, to complete the tie-ins of the CD Road 1 where these temporary ramps crossed the CD Road.  This closure is for milling paving and striping final tie-ins at ramp 15H (entrance ramp from eastbound Poplar to eastbound I-240 and ramp 15F (exit ramp from eastbound I-240 to westbound Poplar).  When this work is complete all traffic for these exits will begin to use the new CD road 1 to access these ramps.  DMS signs will be utilized as well as message boards to alert motorists of the closure and the changed traffic phase.  Also, the right lane of I-240 westbound will be CLOSED between mile marker 16.0 and 15.0, for the shifting of barrier rail to open traffic to a portion of new CD Road between Walnut Grove and Shady Grove.  Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements  Wednesday August 06 through Wednesday August 13:  Modification of the I-40/I-240 interchange.

February 10, The right lane of eastbound Summer Avenue was CLOSED, beginning just west of the existing I-240 northbound bridge over Summer Avenue, for the installation of portable barrier rail to allow for construction of Abutment 1/Wall 12.  This will be a permanent lane closure.

Thursday August 7 through Saturday August 9, 6:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.:  The right lane on Summer Avenue Eastbound will be CLOSED, beginning near east end of existing Wolf River Bridge, for installation of pipe and driveway access.

Wednesday August 6 & Thursday August 7, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  The currently closed left lane of I-40 EB will remain CLOSED, beginning south of Exit 12A.  The 2 middle lanes of I-40 eastbound will be CLOSED, beginning south of Exit 12A, to allow for removal of the existing overhead sign near Exit 12B.  Exits 12A, 12B and 12C will remain open during this work.  During the removal of the overhead sign truss, we will need to stop traffic for approximately 20 minutes for the lift and removal.

Saturday August 9, 7:00 a. m.-5:30 p. m.:  The left lane of I-240 northbound will be CLOSED, beginning south of the I-240 northbound bridge over the Greenline, to allow for installation of portable barrier rail for the Phase 1B reconstruction of Bridge 3.  Exit 13 will remain open during this work.

Saturday August 16, 6:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.:  There will be a lane closure for both sides of I-240 between Walnut Grove and the interchange to remove existing median barrier and place portable barrier rail.  One lane of I-240 northbound will remain closed for about 2 to 3 weeks while the new foundations are constructed in the median for the new DMS signs.

Saturday August 16 & Sunday August 17, 6:30 a. m.-5:30 p. m.:  The existing closed right lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound will be OPENED and shift traffic to the right lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound.  Remove existing approach traffic control as necessary to make this traffic change.  The left and center lanes of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound Will be CLOSED, beginning west of exit 10A and the White Station Road overpass, to allow for installation of portable concrete barrier rail and construction barrels.Utilize troopers and flaggers as needed during the portable barrier rail movement. Exit 10A will remain open at all times.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55:  The I-55 Welcome Center is CLOSED due to construction of a new facility.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55:  A bridge repair project over Cane Creek .

Friday August 8, 8:00 p. m. through Monday August 11, 5:00 p. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures northbound on I-55, for expansion joint repairs.  Two lanes will be CLOSED.  One lane will remain open.  THP/HELP Truck will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55: Saturday August 09, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m:  The I-55 southbound ramp @ McLemore Avenue Exit will be CLOSED, to repair a hole, due to washed out area.  HELP Truck will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (US-61):  A replacement of the bridge over Illinois Central Railroad from South Parkway to McLemore Avenue.  Roadway is CLOSED, a detour route is posted.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-15:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Bartlett Boulevard to the Bridge over Fletcher Creek.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 (US-72):  Construction on State Route 86 (US-72) for a widening project north of Quinn Road to State Route 57 (Poplar Avenue) in Collierville. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction.  South Rowlett Street is closed to through traffic in the vicinity of the State Route 86 bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Motorists may use Wilson Street to Harris Street as a detour.

SHELBY COUNTY, Grade, drain, pave SR-177 (Germantown Rd); Crestridge Rd to Stout Rd:
Wednesday August 06
through Wednesday August 13There will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 177 (Germantown Road), between Germantown City Limits to Stout Road. The closures will be intermittent and for as short a time as possible.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-204:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Raleigh-LaGrange Road to State Route 14.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-205:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from US-64 (State Route 15) to I-40.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385:  Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Loosahatchie River. Traffic will be reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane; a twelve (12’) lane will be maintained in each direction.  Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-217:  Resurfacing work will cause intermittent lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 22 to State Route 89.
