CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over an overflow and the Big Sandy River.  Wednesday September 17 through Wednesday September 24:  A signal system is being utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 10’ lane restriction and there is a 40’ length restriction for vehicles during construction.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424:  Bridge Replacement on State Route 424 over the Rutherford Fork Obion River and overflows. Wednesday September 17 through Wednesday September 24:  A signal system is being utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 9.5’ lane restriction.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR-20 (US-412):  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Wilkinstown Road/Bear Creek Road to State Route 69.

DYER COUNTY, I-155Bridge repair (2) over overflow right & left.  Beginning Monday August 11 through Tuesday September 30:  There will be lane closures in both directions on I-155, for installation of concrete barrier rail.  There will also be a 13’ width restriction in both directions.

DYER COUNTY, SR-104:  Bridge Repair on State Route 104 over Lewis Creek Canal.  A signal system will be utilized and will reduce traffic to one lane with a 10’ 9” lane restriction.  Speed limit has been reduced to 30 MPH.

DYER COUNTY, SR-211:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 77 to State Route 105.  Flagmen will be present.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40, Interchange at SR 222:  Wednesday September 17 through Wednesday September 24:  The east and westbound shoulders at Exit 42 are CLOSED.

Sunday September 21 through Friday September 26, 8:00 p. m.-5:00 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closure eastbound and westbound on I-40, for milling and paving operations.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-193:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Shelby County line to State Route 194.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-196:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from (US-64) State Route 15 to the junction of State Route 196 and Hickory Withe Road.

FAYETTE and SHELBY COUNTY, (SR-385) Future I-269:  Construction of I-269 from the interchange with State Route 385 to the Mississippi State line. State Route 385 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction.  The project intersects with US 72 (State Route 86) in the area of the Mann Road intersection.  State Route 86 is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge construction in the median. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-57:  Miscellaneous safety improvements at the intersection of State Route 57 & State Route 142, will result in temporary lane closures each day.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction for the West Tennessee Solar Farm and Welcome Center, including removal of Albright Road bridge.  Wednesday September 17 through Wednesday September 24:  The westbound shoulders are temporarily closed for construction of ramp extension.  There are no scheduled closures.

HAYWOOD COUNTY,  I-40:  Construction at the intersection of State Route 76 & I-40 at the weigh station Wednesday September 17 through Wednesday September 24:  There are no scheduled closures.

HENDERSON COUNTY, I-40:
Monday September 22
through Friday September 26, 9:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.:  There will be temporary lane closure eastbound & westbound I-40 (MM 101.0 to MM 108.0), for milling and paving operations.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

HENDERSON COUNTY, SR-22:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the I-40 Bridge to the Carroll County Line.

HENDERSON COUNTY, SR-22:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 20 (US 412) to Jane Street.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-69 (US-641):  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from South Market Street to State Route 54/West Wood Street.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-69 (US-641):  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from State Route 69A to US-79 (State Route 76).

LAKE COUNTY, SR-22:  A widening project on State Route 22, south of State Route 21 in Tiptonville to existing State Route 22 (Cates Landing Rd.).  There are lane shifts throughout the project.  State Route 22 is closed from intersection of State Route 212 and Vaughn Road North to Cates Landing Road. Detour 3.5 miles on Vaughn Road to State Route 22 Cates Landing Road.  State Route 78 is CLOSED to thru traffic.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-88:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Edith-Nankipoo Road to State Route 210.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-208:  A widening project on State Route 208 (State Route 209/Cleveland Street) beginning at State Route 209 (Washington Street) and extending to State Route 208 at US-51/State Route 3 in Ripley.  There will be temporary lane closures daily.

MADISON COUNTY, US-70 (SR-1):  A bridge repair project over Gilmers Creek.  Wednesday September 17 through Wednesday September 24:  There will be possible lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound directions on State Route 1, for duration of the project.  Flaggers may be present.

MADISON COUNTY, US-70 (SR-1):  A bridge repair project.  Wednesday September 17 through Wednesday September 24:  There will be lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound directions on State Route 1, with a temporary signal, for duration of the project. Traffic is reduced to one lane with 11’ 3” lane restriction.

MADISON COUNTY, US-70 (SR-1):  A bridge repair project over Royal Street and West Tennessee Railroad. The outside lanes will be closed, reducing traffic down to 2-12 foot lanes, 1 eastbound and 1 westbound, also workers will be present under the bridge, repairing cracks.  Motorists should use caution while traveling through construction zone.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-5:  A bridge repair project over Middle Fork Forked Deer River.  There will be workers under the bridge making repairs.  Motorists should use caution while traveling through construction zone.

OBION COUNTY, SR-431:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the North Fork Obion River bridge to US-51 (State Route 3).

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 8:
Monday September 22
through Friday September 26:  The exit ramp for westbound Interstate 40 to Second Street, will be closed for about six months.  The Exit ramp from Westbound I-40 to Riverside Drive has been narrowed to 14 feet. “Wide loads” are restricted from using this. The Entrance ramp from Riverside Drive to I-40 Eastbound has been narrowed to 12 feet and “wide loads” are restricted from using this. 

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over MS River Phase 9:
Monday September 22
through Friday September 26:  Traffic will remain in the current configuration until mid-October 2014.  Traffic on the bridge is configured as follows: work zone on the north side of the bridge, 2 lanes westbound traffic in the center of the bridge and 2 lanes eastbound traffic on south side of the bridge. Two lanes will remain open in each direction.  Lane closures on the I-40 bridge will be required until approximately December 15, 2014.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Canada Road
Monday September 22
through Friday September 26:  I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.  There are no scheduled closures.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 North of SR-385 to North of Walnut Grove Rd.: Wednesday September 17 through Wednesday September 24:  A widening project on I-240 will cause temporary lane closures.  The permanent ramps on the west side of I-240 at Walnut Grove have been opened as well as a portion of the new CD road on westbound I-240 is in use.  The permanent ramp from westbound Poplar to eastbound I-240 has also been opened and traffic is using a portion of the CD road on eastbound I-240. 

Wednesday September 17 & Thursday September 18, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  The right two lanes of I-240 eastbound will be CLOSED between MM 16.0 and MM 13.0, for the installation of final shoulder surface asphalt.  WEATHER PERMITTING.

Saturday September 20, 6:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m.:  The left lane of I-240 eastbound will be CLOSED between MM 15.0 and MM 13.0, for the installation of portable barrier to allow for the construction of median barrier glare screen.  WEATHER PERMITTING.

Sunday September 21, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  The right lane of I-240 eastbound will be CLOSED between MM 16.0 and MM 13.0, for the final paving of outside shoulders. WEATHER PERMITTING.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements  Wednesday September 17 through Wednesday September 24:  Modification of the I-40/I-240 interchange.

Beginning Monday February 10:  The right lane of eastbound Summer Avenue was CLOSED, beginning just west of the existing I-240 northbound bridge over Summer Avenue, for the installation of portable barrier rail to allow for construction of Abutment 1/Wall 12.  This will be a permanent lane closure.

Thursday September 18 & Friday September 19 & Monday September 22 through Wednesday September 24, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  Utilizing the currently closed right lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound exit 10A, set up the crane for the overhead sign removal in the closed area.  Exit 10A will remain open at all times.  During the removal of the overhead sign truss, we will need to stop traffic for approximately 20 for the lift and removal.

Saturday September 20, 7:00 a. m.-6:30 p. m.:  The left lane of I-40 eastbound will remain closed.  The left middle lane of I-40 eastbound will be CLOSED, beginning south of Exit 12A and extending to just north of Exit 12C, to allow for extension of portable barrier rail for the construction of Wall 20 near Bridge 2 (Wall 19) just north of Summer Avenue. Exits 12A, 12B and 12C will remain open during this work.

Saturday September 20, 6:00 a. m. through Sunday September 21, 5:00 p. m.:  The ramp from I-240 northbound to go west on Sam Cooper Boulevard will be CLOSED, to allow for the erection of steel girders across the ramp.  A detour will be provided for ramp traffic, but all motorists who would normally use that ramp are encouraged to seek an alternate route.

Saturday September 20, 6:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.:  There will be shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 between Walnut Grove and I-40 interchange.  One lane of northbound I-240 will also be CLOSED in this same section.  It is expected that this closure will last for about 4 weeks to allow for the construction of new foundations.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55:  The I-55 Welcome Center is CLOSED due to construction of a new facility.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1 (US-51)Monday September 22 through Thursday September 25, 7:00 p. m. through 6:00 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures on State Route 1 between mile marker 31.5- 29.5 in both directions, for milling and installation of signal loops between Crump Boulevard and Union Avenue.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-4 (US-78, Lamar Avenue):  Tuesday September 23 & Wednesday September 24, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures on US 78 (Lamar Avenue), in both directions.  One lane will remain open.  RJN will be performing maintenance related work on the City of Memphis sanitary sewer system.  The southern limits of the work will be at the intersection of Keating Street and Lamar Avenue and the northern limits will be at the intersection of Parkway East and Lamar Avenue.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (US-61):  A replacement of the bridge over Illinois Central Railroad from South Parkway to McLemore Avenue.  Roadway is CLOSED, a detour route is posted.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-15:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Bartlett Boulevard to the Bridge over Fletcher Creek.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 (US-72):  Construction on State Route 86 (US-72) for a widening project north of Quinn Road to State Route 57 (Poplar Avenue) in Collierville. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction.  South Rowlett Street is closed to through traffic in the vicinity of the State Route 86 bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.  Motorists may use Wilson Street to Harris Street as a detour.

SHELBY COUNTY, Grade, drain, pave SR-177 (Germantown Rd); Crestridge Rd to Stout Rd:
Wednesday September 17
through Wednesday September 24:  There will be intermittent lane closures on State Route 177 (Germantown Road), between Germantown City Limits (log mile 1.65) to Stout Road (log mile 2.40).  The closures will be intermittent and for as short a time as possible.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-204:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Raleigh-LaGrange Road to State Route 14.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385:  Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Loosahatchie River. Traffic will be reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane; a twelve (12’) lane will be maintained in each direction.  Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Retracing of Pavement Marking with Paint:  Wednesday September 17 through Wednesday September 24, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be night time “rolling road blocks” at the following location, for retracing of pavement marking lines.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Haywood County, eastbound & westbound (MM 67.05 to MM 94.95), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Henderson County, eastbound & westbound (MM 94.95 to MM 119.58), one lane will remain open.

TDOT REGION 4, Relensing of Snowplowable Markers:  Tuesday September 23 through Thursday September 25, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  :  There will be night time lane closures at the following location, for installation of snowplowable markers.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Carroll County, westbound (MM 119.58 to MM 120.24), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Decatur County, westbound (MM 120.24 to MM 125.91), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Haywood County, westbound (MM 43.11 to MM 67.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Henderson County, westbound (MM 94.95 to MM 119.58), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Madison County, westbound (MM 67.0 to MM 94.95), one lane will remain open.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail Repair:  Monday September 22 through Saturday September 27, 8:00 p.m-6:00 a. m.:  There will be night time lane closures at the following locations, to repair damaged guardrail and concrete barrier rail.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • SR-20, Crockett County, eastbound (MM 20.0 to MM 21.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Henderson County, eastbound & westbound (MM 114.0 to MM 119.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-22, Henderson County, northbound (MM 10.0 to MM 11.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Haywood & Madison Counties, eastbound & westbound (MM 48.0 to MM 88.0), one lane will remain open.  This work includes partial ramp closures @ I-40 westbound Exit 56 and I-40 westbound Exit 79.

Concrete Barrier Rail

  • I-55, Shelby County, northbound median (MM 11.0 to TN/AR State Line), one lane will remain open.
  • I-240, Shelby County, eastbound median (MM 16.0 to MM 24.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-385, Shelby County, eastbound & westbound median (MM 2.0 to MM 5.0), one lane will remain open.

TDOT MAINTENANCE:
Wednesday September 17
through Wednesday September 24, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.:  There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.  Weather Permitting.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-22:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the ramp from State Route 431 to north of the ramp from State Route 43.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-118:  Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Mud Creek bridge to the Kentucky State Line.
