BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

  • From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Road

  • Wednesday January 7, 9PM-12AM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 northbound at the I-24 split (MM 88.6) so that a crash attenuator may be repaired.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) over the Cumberland River

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on SR 45 in Old Hickory due to bridge repair. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Pedestrian Crosswalk Bridge Repair over I-40 near 2nd Avenue

  • Friday January 9, 9PM through Monday January 12, 5AM, There will be a lane closure on I-40 in both directions, between MM 210 and MM 211, for work on the pedestrian bridge.  Two lanes will remain open westbound. One lane will remain open eastbound.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

  • Thursday January 8 through Wednesday January 14, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 (approximately between MM 58 and Elam Road) and SR 840 (approximately between MM 48 and MM 57) for pull box installation and conduit proving/repairs.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Removal & Replacement of HOV Signing & Thermoplastic Markings on Various Interstates

  • Wednesday January 7 through Friday January 9, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on all I-24 on-ramps from SR 255 (Harding Place) to SR 231 (Shelbyville Highway).
  • Saturday January 10, 7AM-5PM, There will be a shoulder closure on all I-24 on-ramps from SR 255 (Harding Place) to SR 231 (Shelbyville Highway).
  • Saturday January 10, 7AM-5PM, There will be a left lane closure on I-24 in both directions from SR 255 (Harding Place) to SR 231 (Shelbyville Highway).

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

  • Thursday January 8 through Wednesday January 14, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations and utility relocation.

 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on SR 237 over I-24 (Exit 8)

  • Saturday January 10, 7AM-12 Noon, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-24 in both directions in order to dump rock for installation of crane pads.  Troopers will be utilized.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Construction of New Interchange on SR 1 (Broad St) at SR 10/SR 96 (Memorial Blvd/Old Fort Pkwy)

  • Thursday January 8 through Wednesday January 14, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 96, Broad Street, Ridgely Road, and College Street for underground utility crossings.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road

  • Thursday January 8 through Wednesday January 14, 9AM-3PM, Traffic will be flagged as needed during construction operations.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 840 to SR 248, Interchange Modifications and Widening on SR 248 from Lewisburg Pike to west of I-65

  • Thursday January 8 through Wednesday January 14, 1PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 in both directions between MM 61 and MM 63 for blasting.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Widening of I-40 from East of SR 109 to East of SR 840

  • Monday January 12 through Wednesday January 14, 9AM-4PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-40 in both directions in order to execute soil borings in the median between the two lanes of traffic.

 

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday January 8 through Wednesday January 14, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

 

  • Thursday January 8 through Wednesday January 14, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as-needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

  • Thursday January 8 through Wednesday January 14, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, and Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, and Humphreys Counties

 

  • Thursday January 8 through Wednesday January 14, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee for tree trimming and removal on an as-needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Maury and Robertson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Dickson, Hickman and Humphreys Counties

 

Davidson County

  • Thursday January 8 through Wednesday January 14, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations for drain cleaning operations.  This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Friday January 9, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 in both directions, between I-24 and Rosa L Parks Blvd (Metro Center), over the Cumberland River for bridge inspection. Two lanes will remain open at all times.

 

Wilson County

  • Monday January 12 through Wednesday January 14, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on I-40 eastbound, between MM 234 and MM 235 (SR 109 and SR 840), for cleanup of an oil tanker spill. One lane will remain open.

 

TDOT Region 3 Utilities

Davidson County

  • Thursday January 8 through Thursday January 29, 7PM to 6AM, There will be alternating lane closures across SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) at Cobblestone Creek Drive in order for Walland Services to open-cut for 8” water main.
  • Monday January 12 through Thursday January 29, 7PM to 6AM, There will be a lane closure on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) from 32nd Street to 26th Street in the City of Lakewood in order for SBW Constructors to install new sewer services.

 

Miscellaneous Non-TDOT Projects

HCA 

  • From now through Wednesday April 29, 2015, 6AM, 10AM and/or 2PM, The on-ramp to I-40 westbound from Charlotte Avenue (downtown) will be closed for 5-10 minutes for blasting operations in the area. This will occur weekly, Tuesdays through Saturdays.

 

Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.  Information in this report is provided to the Department of Transportation by the contractors.  Most work is weather dependent and subject to change due to inclement weather.
