BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

  • From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Installation of Overhead Sign on I-65 South at Fern Avenue

  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-65 southbound at MM 86 for receiving the overhead sign structure.

 

Look ahead:

  • Sunday February 22, 9PM-5AM, There will be a lane closure and rolling roadblock at MM 86 to swing the overhead structure.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Grading, Drainage, and Paving of I-40 West Exit Ramp at Church Street

  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 8PM-6AM, There will be an alternating lane closure on George L. Davis Blvd and Church Street to install underground conduit.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Pedestrian Crosswalk Bridge Repair over I-40 near 2nd Avenue

  • Saturday February 14, 6AM-12 Noon, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 in both directions, from MM 210 to MM 211, to remove barrels and signs from the work zone.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) over the Cumberland River

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on SR 45 in Old Hickory due to bridge repair. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 (approximately between MM 58 and Elam Road) and SR 840 (approximately between MM 48 and MM 57) for pull box installation and conduit proving/repairs.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Nashville Smartway ITS Expansion Project, I-40 at White Bridge Road

  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 9PM-5AM, There will be a lane closure on I-40 eastbound at MM 203 (near Briley Pkwy, White Bridge Road exit) to install a CCTV lowering device and camera.
  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-40 eastbound at MM 203 (near Briley Pkwy, White Bridge Road exit) and I-24 westbound at MM 42 (between Old Hickory Blvd and Briley Pkwy) to install a CCTV lowering device and camera.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Removal & Replacement of HOV Signing & Thermoplastic Markings on Various Interstates

  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on all I-24 on-ramps from SR 255 (Harding Place) to SR 231 (Shelbyville Hwy).
  • Saturday February 14, 7AM-5PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-24 from SR 255 (Harding Place) to SR 231 (Shelbyville Hwy) to prep for HOV sign installation.

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations and utility relocation.

 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on SR 237 over I-24 (Exit 8)

  • Saturday February 14, 7AM-12 Noon, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-24 westbound, between MM 11 and MM 8, in order to move equipment and material across the interstate.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Construction of New Interchange on SR 1 (Broad St) at SR 10/SR 96 (Memorial Blvd/Old Fort Pkwy)

  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 96, Broad Street, Ridgely Road, and College Street for underground utility crossings.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road

  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 9AM-3PM, Traffic will be flagged during construction operations as needed.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 840 to SR 248, Interchange Modifications and Widening on SR 248 from Lewisburg Pike to west of I-65

  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 1PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 in both directions, between MM 61 and MM 63, for blasting.

 

Look Ahead:

  • Saturday February 21 and Sunday February 22, 7AM-5:30PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 in both directions, between SR 840 and SR 96, for the removal and replacement of electric lines.  There will also be intermittent traffic stops on the I-65 southbound on-ramp from SR 248 coinciding with the rolling roadblocks.

 

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

 

  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as-needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:

  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, and Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, and Humphreys Counties

 

  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee for tree trimming and removal on an as-needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Maury and Robertson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Dickson, Hickman and Humphreys Counties

 

Cheatham County

  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures in both directions on SR 251 (River Road) from SR 249 to the Davidson County line in order to do slope mowing.

 

Davidson County

  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 18, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations for drain cleaning operations.  This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Thursday February 12 through Friday February 13, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on Gallatin Pike (US 31E/SR 6) eastbound at the railroad bridge in Madison for pavement sealing. One lane will remain open.  (weather dependent)
  • Saturday February 14, 9AM-2PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound, between Rivergate Pkwy (Goodlettsville) and US 31W (Millersville), in order to patch the pavement. One lane will remain open.

 

Rutherford County

  • Wednesday February 18 and Thursday February 19, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-24 at Medical Center Pkwy, New Salem Road (SR 99) and S Church Street (US 231) so that S & W Contracting Co. can perform maintenance work on median lighting.

 

Smith County

  • Thursday February 12, 9AM-3PM, There will be a right lane closure on I-40 in both directions at MM 263 for bridge repair.

 

TDOT Region 3 Utilities

Davidson County

  • From now through Friday March 20, 7PM to 6AM, There will be a lane closure on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd), from 32nd Street to 26th Street, in the City of Lakewood, in order for SBW Constructors to install new sewer services.
  • Monday February 16 through Friday February 27, 9AM–3PM, There will be a lane closure on US 431 (SR 106/Hillsboro Pike) northbound, between Hemingway Drive and Tyne Blvd, in order for NES to replace two (2) poles on the outside lane.
  • From now through Thursday February 12, 7PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on US 70 (Charlotte Ave), between 19th and 20th Avenue, in order for Summit Contractors to open cut for 6” water service line.
  • Thursday February 12 through Wednesday February 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 1 (Murfreesboro Pike) westbound, from Elm Hill Pike to Fairfield Avenue, in order for NES to install one new pole and raise fiber optic cable.
  • Sunday February 15, 7AM-9AM, There will be a rolling stop block on SR 155 (Briley Parkway) at Centennial Blvd in order for AT&T to over-lash approximately 308’ of aerial fiber optic cable.

 

TDOT Materials & Tests

Davidson County

  • Wednesday February 18, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating closures on I-440 eastbound, from MM 0 (I-40 interchange) to MM 2 (between West End Avenue and Hillsboro Pike), in order to patch concrete.

 

Miscellaneous Non-TDOT Projects

HCA 

  • From now through Wednesday April 29, 2015, 6AM, 10AM and/or 2PM, The on-ramp to I-40 westbound from Charlotte Avenue (downtown) will be closed for 5-10 minutes for blasting operations in the area. This will occur weekly, Tuesdays through Saturdays.
