BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

  • From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Road

  • Thursday February 5, 8PM, through November 2015, The exit ramp from I-24 east to I-65 north (Exit 44B) will be closed to traffic to allow construction of the inside lanes of I-65. Detours are in place.
  • Friday February 6, 9PM, through Monday February 9, 5AM, Two lanes of I-65 northbound will be closed to prepare for a traffic shift and allow for placement of barrier wall. Lanes will be reopened as the work allows in the newly constructed northbound lanes.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Grading, Drainage, and Paving of I-40 West Exit Ramp at Church Street

  • Sunday February 8 through Thursday February 12, 8PM-6AM, There will be an alternating lane closure on George L. Davis Blvd and on Church Street to install underground conduit.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) over the Cumberland River

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on SR 45 in Old Hickory due to bridge repair. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

  • Thursday February 5 through Wednesday February 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 (approximately between MM 58 and Elam Road) and SR 840 (approximately between MM 48 and MM 57) for pull box installation and conduit proving/repairs.
  • Wednesday February 4 and Thursday February 5, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 840 (where railroad passes at Nashville Hwy) for bridge conduit installation.

 

DAVIDSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS Expansion Project

  • Thursday February 5 through Wednesday February 11, 9PM-5AM, There will be a lane closure on I-40 eastbound at MM 203 (near Briley Pkwy, White Bridge Road exit) to install a CCTV lowering device and camera.
  • Thursday February 5 through Wednesday February 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-40 eastbound at MM 203 (near Briley Pkwy, White Bridge Road exit) and I-24 westbound at MM 42 (between Old Hickory Blvd and Briley Pkwy) to install a CCTV lowering device and camera. to install a CCTV lowering device and camera.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Removal & Replacement of HOV Signing & Thermoplastic Markings on Various Interstates

  • Thursday February 5 through Wednesday February 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on all I-24 on-ramps from SR 255 (Harding Place) to SR 231 (Shelbyville Hwy).
  • Saturday February 7, 7AM-5PM, There will be a shoulder closure on all I-24 on-ramps from SR 255 (Harding Place) to SR 231 (Shelbyville Hwy) to prep for HOV sign installation.

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

  • Thursday February 5 through Wednesday February 11, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations and utility relocation.

 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on SR 237 over I-24 (Exit 8)

  • Saturday February 7, 7AM-12 Noon, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-24 eastbound, between MM 4 and MM 8, and westbound, between MM 11 and MM 8, in order to move equipment and material across the interstate.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Construction of New Interchange on SR 1 (Broad St) at SR 10/SR 96 (Memorial Blvd/Old Fort Pkwy)

  • Thursday February 5 through Wednesday February 11, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 96, Broad Street, Ridgely Road, and College Street for underground utility crossings.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Intersection Improvements on SR 96 at Market Place

  • Thursday February 5 through Wednesday February 11, 8PM–6AM, (excluding weekends), There will be lane closures on SR 96 (Old Fort Pkwy) for grinding, removal and realignment of pavement marking lines. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, On-Call Concrete Pavement Repair at Various Locations

  • Wednesday February 4 and Monday February 9 through Wednesday February 11, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane shifts on SR 386 (Vietnam Veterans Blvd) and Exit 3 (Hendersonville) to replace concrete. 
  • Friday February 6, 8PM through Monday February 9, 6AM, There will be alternating lane shifts on all ramps of SR 386 (Vietnam Veterans Blvd) and Exit 3 (Hendersonville) to replace concrete.

 

SUMNER AND WILSON COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • Thursday February 5, Friday February 6, and Saturday February 7, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 109 southbound between the bridges for pavement repairs.  One southbound lane will remain open.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road

  • Thursday February 5 through Wednesday February 11, 9AM-3PM, Traffic will be flagged during construction operations as needed.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 840 to SR 248, Interchange Modifications and Widening on SR 248 from Lewisburg Pike to west of I-65

  • Thursday February 5 through Wednesday February 11, 1PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 in both directions between MM 61 and MM 63 for blasting.
  • Thursday February 5, 9AM to 1PM, There will be a lane closure on the Goose Creek bypass for a boom truck to set bearing pads. Flaggers will be used.
  • Saturday February 7, 6:30 AM to 1:30 PM, I-65 southbound will be closed at Exit 61 (SR 248/Peytonsville Road/Goose Creek Bypass) to set bridge beams. Traffic will be diverted onto the ramps. SR 248 bridge over the interstate will also be closed to allow southbound interstate traffic to maintain flow across the ramps. Rolling roadblocks will be utilized for the I-65 northbound lanes for the setting of each beam.
  • Sunday February 8, 6:30 AM to 12:30 PM, I-65 northbound will be closed at Exit 61 (SR 248/Peytonsville Road/Goose Creek Bypass) to set bridge beams. Traffic will be diverted onto the ramps. SR 248 bridge over the interstate will also be closed to allow northbound interstate traffic to maintain flow across the ramps. Southbound lanes will not be affected.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Widening of I-40 from East of SR 109 to East of SR 840

  • Thursday February 5 through Wednesday February 11, 9AM-4PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-40 in both directions in order to execute soil borings in the median between the two lanes of traffic.

 

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday February 5 through Wednesday February 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

 

  • Thursday February 5 through Wednesday February 11, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as-needed basis:

  • Thursday February 5 through Wednesday February 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee for tree trimming and removal on an as-needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Maury and Robertson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Dickson, Hickman and Humphreys Counties

 

Cheatham County

  • Thursday February 5 through Wednesday February 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures in both directions on SR 251 (River Road) from SR 249 to the Davidson County line in order to do slope mowing.

 

Davidson County

  • Thursday February 5 through Wednesday February 11, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations for drain cleaning operations.  This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Monday February 9 through Friday February 13, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on US 31E/SR 6 (Gallatin Pike) at the railroad bridge in Madison for pavement sealing. One lane will remain open. (weather dependent)

 

TDOT Region 3 Utilities

Davidson County

  • From now through Friday March 20, 7PM to 6AM, There will be a lane closure on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd), from 32nd Street to 26th Street, in the City of Lakewood in order for SBW Constructors to install new sewer services.
  • From now through Friday February 6, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closure on US 431 (SR 106/Hillsboro Pike), from Burton Hill Blvd to Stanford Drive, in order for NES to do maintenance work oiling, operating switches, and replacing parts.
  • From now through Friday February 6, 6PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on SR 155 (White Bridge Road), between Charlotte Pike (US 70) and Lenox Avenue, for utility work.
  • Sunday February 8 through Thursday February 12, 7PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on US 70 (Charlotte Ave), between 19th and 20th Avenue, in order for Summit Contractors to open cut for 6” water service line.

 

Williamson County

  • Sunday February 8, 6AM-7AM, There will be a rolling stop block on I-65 at the SR 96 interchange in order for the city of Franklin to remove street light cables that cross over the interstate. Franklin Police will be utilized.

Davidson County

  • Thursday February 5, 9AM-3PM, There will be median shoulder closures on I-65 in both directions at Rivergate Pkwy (MM 96) for survey work.  All travel lanes will remain open.

 

TDOT Materials & Tests

Davidson County

  • Wednesday February 11, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating closures on I-440 eastbound, from MM 0 (I-40 interchange) to MM 1 (West End Avenue), in order to patch concrete.

 

Miscellaneous Non-TDOT Projects

HCA 

  • From now through Wednesday April 29, 2015, 6AM, 10AM and/or 2PM, The on-ramp to I-40 westbound from Charlotte Avenue (downtown) will be closed for 5-10 minutes for blasting operations in the area. This will occur weekly, Tuesdays through Saturdays.

 

Other

  • Friday February 5, 9AM-3PM and 5PM-7PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on SR 155 (Briley Pkwy) westbound from Brick Church Pike to SR 12 (Ashland City Hwy).

 

Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.  Information in this report is provided to the Department of Transportation by the contractors.  Most work is weather dependent and subject to change due to inclement weather.
