SFMO: Arrest Made In Connection with Camden Arson Investigation

NASHVILLE – An investigation between the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Benton County Sheriff’s Office into the cause of a residential structure fire in Camden has led to the arrest of a man on a charge of arson, among other criminal charges.

David Dodd was booked by agents into the Benton County Jail on March 12, 2015 after agents determined that arson was the cause of a structure fire at 350 Mountain Creek Road in Camden. The fire occurred March 12, 2015.

Dodd also faces other charges brought by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office that include disorderly conduct, public intoxication, domestic assault and the intentional killing of an animal.

The defendant’s initial court appearance is set for Wednesday, March 18, 2015.

The investigation is ongoing and other charges could be added.
