BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

  • From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) over the Cumberland River

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on SR 45 in Old Hickory due to bridge repair. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on I-24 (Silliman Evans Bridge) over the Cumberland River

  • Friday March 27, 8PM through Monday March 30, 5AM, There will be two lanes closed on I-24 eastbound at MM 50.0 (Silliman Evans Bridge) for repair work. Two lanes will remain open.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Pike

  • Thursday March 26, 9PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on I-65 southbound from SR 45 (Old Hickory Boulevard) to the SR 155 (Briley Pkwy) westbound exit ramp (Exit 90A) to the I-24 westbound exit ramp (Exit 18A) so that the overhead “Detour” signs can be removed.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Nashville Smartway ITS Expansion Project at Various Locations

  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-24 westbound at MM 42 (between Old Hickory Blvd and Briley Pkwy) to perform work near the pole foundation.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 (approximately between MM 58 and Elam Road) and SR 840 (approximately between MM 48 and MM 57) for pull box installation and conduit proving/repairs.

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations and utility relocation.
  • Sunday March 29, 7AM-Noon, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for utility relocation. Flaggers will be utilized to maintain one lane of traffic.

 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on SR 237 over I-24 (Exit 8)

  • Saturday March 28, 7AM-12 Noon, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-24 eastbound, between MM 4 and MM 8, and westbound, between MM 11 and MM 8, in order to move equipment and material across the interstate.

 

ROBERTSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, SmartWay ITS I-65 (North of Nashville) Expansion Project

  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-65 southbound from MM 109.1 to MM 110.5 and northbound from MM 107.8 to MM 108.2 for trenching and conduit installation.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Construction of New Interchange on SR 1 (Broad St) at SR 10/SR 96 (Memorial Blvd/Old Fort Pkwy)

  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 96, Broad Street, Ridgely Road, and College Street for underground utility crossings.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Removal & Replacement of HOV Signing & Thermoplastic Markings on Various Interstates

  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-24, including on-ramps, from the Davidson County line to SR 231 (Shelbyville Hwy) for HOV sign installation.
  • Saturday March 28, 7AM-5PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-24, including on-ramps, from the Davidson County line to SR 231 (Shelbyville Hwy) for HOV sign installation.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Extension of Concrete Box Bridge on SR 109

  • From now through June 2015, Traffic will be reduced from two (2) lanes to one (1) lane on SR 109 northbound (S Broadway) at Jackson Road in Portland for concrete box bridge work. One lane will remain open. Message boards are in place.

 

SUMNER AND WILSON COUNTIES, On-Call Concrete Pavement Repair at Various Locations

  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane shifts on SR 386 and Exit 3 (Vietnam Veterans Blvd Connector/Hendersonville) for permanent striping.
  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane shifts on the I-40 ramps at Exit 239 (US 70/SR 26 – Lebanon/Watertown) to replace concrete. 

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road

  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 9AM-3PM, Traffic will be flagged during construction operations as needed.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 840 to SR 248, Interchange Modifications and Widening on SR 248 from Lewisburg Pike to west of I-65

  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 1 PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 in both directions between MM 61 and MM 63 for blasting.
  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be periodic lane closures on SR 248 (Goose Creek Bypass) to prepare for sidewalk placement. Flaggers will be utilized.
  • Saturday March 28, 7AM-5:30PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 in both directions, between SR 840 and SR 96, for the removal and replacement of electric lines. There will also be intermittent closures on the southwest interstate on-ramp from SR 248, coinciding with the rolling roadblocks.
  • Tuesday March 31, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 in both directions, from MM 60 to MM 62.6, to replace raised pavement markers and refresh the paint on the edge line where necessary throughout the project.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, SmartWay ITS I-65 (South of Nashville) Expansion Project

  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on SR 840 from MM 28.7 to MM 31.3 for trenching and conduit installation.

 

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

 

  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as-needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, and Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, and Humphreys Counties

 

  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee for tree trimming and removal on an as-needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Maury and Robertson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Dickson, Hickman and Humphreys Counties

 

Davidson County

  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations for sweeping operations. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Thursday March 26 through Wednesday April 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions, between MM 32.0 (Cheatham-Davidson County line) and MM 40.5 (SR 45/ Old Hickory Blvd) for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

 

TDOT Region 3 Utilities

Davidson County

  • Sunday March 29, 7AM-9AM, There will be a rolling roadblock on I-40 in both directions at MM 214.1 (Massman Drive overpass) in order for Nashville Electric Service to remove one conductor across the interstate.

 

TDOT Survey

Wilson County

  • Monday March 30, 9AM-3PM, The will be a lane closure on I-40 in both directions over Bartons Creek, located between SR 840 (MM 235) and South Hartmann Drive (MM 236) for survey work. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

Miscellaneous Non-TDOT Projects

HCA

  • From now through Wednesday April 29, 2015, 6AM, 10AM and/or 2PM, The on-ramp to I-40 westbound from Charlotte Avenue (downtown) will be closed for 5-10 minutes for blasting operations in the area. This will occur weekly, Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Metro Public Works

  • Monday March 23 through Wednesday April 1, The northbound lanes of 1st Avenue South (US 70/ SR 24), between Korean Veterans Blvd and Peabody Street, will be closed for repaving and signal work. All northbound traffic will be detoured.

 

Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.  Information in this report is provided to the Department of Transportation by the contractors.  Most work is weather dependent and subject to change due to inclement weather.
