BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

  • From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) over the Cumberland River

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on SR 45 in Old Hickory due to bridge repair. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Nashville Smartway ITS Maintenance at Various Locations

  • Thursday April 16, 8PM-11PM, There will be a lane closure on I-40 westbound at MM 211.7 (I-40/24/65 split), Briley Pkwy (SR 155) westbound at MM 17.2 (Brick Church Pike Exit), and I-24 eastbound at MM 42.4 (Briley Pkwy Exit) in order to perform maintenance on CCTV cameras.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Nashville Smartway ITS Expansion Project at Various Locations

  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday April 22, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-24 westbound at MM 42 (between Old Hickory Blvd and Briley Pkwy) to complete camera installation and testing.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday April 22, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 (approximately between MM 58 and Elam Road) and SR 840 (approximately between MM 48 and MM 57) for pull box installation and conduit proving/repairs.
  • Thursday April 16 and Thursday April 16, 9PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on I-24 in both directions near MM 77 (between Medical Center Pkwy and Hwy 96) in order to install portable barrier wall and portable impact attenuators.
  • Friday April 17, 8PM through Monday April 20, 5AM, There will be a lane closure on I-24 eastbound near MM 77 (between Medical Center Pkwy and Hwy 96) in order to work on overhead sign structure footing.
  • Friday April 17, 8PM through Saturday April 18, 12PM, There will be a double lane closure on I-24 westbound MM 77 (between Medical Center Pkwy and Hwy 96) in order to excavate for overhead sign structure footing.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, On-Call Concrete Pavement Repair at Various Locations

  • Saturday April 18, 3AM, through Monday April 20, 6AM, There will be a lane closure on the ramp from I-40 East to I-440 East AND there will be a ramp closure from I-40 West to I-440 East for concrete repair.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Removal & Replacement of HOV Signing & Thermoplastic Markings on Various Interstates

  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday, April 22, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-24, including on-ramps, from the Davidson County line to SR 231 (Shelbyville Hwy) for HOV sign installation.
  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday, April 22, 8PM-6AM, (excluding weekend), There will be a lane closure on I-24 in both directions, from Briley Pkwy (SR 155) to Old Hickory Blvd (SR 171), to remove overhead HOV signage and install median barrier wall HOV signage with saddle mounts.
  • Saturday April 18, 7AM-5PM, There will be a lane closure on I-24 in both directions, from Briley Pkwy (SR 155) to Old Hickory Blvd (SR 171), to remove overhead HOV signage and install median barrier wall HOV signage with saddle mounts. Three lanes will remain open.

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday April 22, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations and utility relocation.

 

MAURY COUNTY, Construction of Media Crossover on I-65

  • Monday April 20 Through Wednesday April 22, 9AM-2PM, There will lane closures on I-65 southbound at MM 50.9 in order to construct median crossover. (weather dependent)

 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on SR 237 over I-24 (Exit 8)

  • Friday April 17, 8PM through Monday April 20, 5AM, I-24 westbound will closed at MM 8.0 for bridge construction.  Traffic will be detoured utilizing the on- and off-ramps at SR 237 (Rossview Road).

 

ROBERTSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, SmartWay ITS I-65 (North of Nashville) Expansion Project

  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday, April 22, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-65 southbound from MM 103 to MM 106 and northbound from MM 101 to MM 102 for trenching and conduit installation.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Construction of New Interchange on SR 1 (Broad St) at SR 10/SR 96 (Memorial Blvd/Old Fort Pkwy)

  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday April 22, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 96, Broad Street, Ridgely Road, and College Street for underground utility crossings.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Extension of Concrete Box Bridge on SR 109

  • From now through June 2015, Traffic will be reduced from two (2) lanes to one (1) lane on SR 109 northbound (S Broadway) at Jackson Road in Portland for concrete box bridge work. One lane will remain open. Message boards are in place.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road

  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday April 22, 9AM-3PM, Traffic will be flagged during construction operations as needed.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 840 to SR 248, Interchange Modifications and Widening on SR 248 from Lewisburg Pike to west of I-65

  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday April 22, 1 PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 in both directions between MM 61 and MM 63 for blasting.
  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday April 22, 9AM-3PM, There will be periodic lane closures on Goose Creek Bypass to prepare for sidewalk placement behind the curb. Flaggers will be utilized.
  • Tuesday April 21, 8PM to 12AM, (weather permitting), There will be a rolling lane closure on I-65 southbound to replace the missing raised pavement markers and on the I-65 ramps to restripe the edge line.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, SmartWay ITS I-65 (South of Nashville) Expansion Project

  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday April 22, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on SR 840 from MM 28.7 to MM 31.3 for trenching and conduit installation.

 

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday April 22, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

 

  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday April 22, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as-needed basis:

Davidson County

  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday April 22, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations for sweeping operations. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday, April 22, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions, between MM 32.0 (Cheatham-Davidson County line) and MM 40.5 (SR 45/ Old Hickory Blvd) for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday, April 22, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound between MM 201 (US 70/Charlotte Pike) and MM 204 (SR 155/Briley Parkway) for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.
  • Wednesday April 22, 8PM-3AM, There will be a lane closure on I-440 eastbound, between West End Ave and Hillsboro Road, for concrete repair.

 

Rutherford County

  • Monday April 20 through Wednesday, April 22, 9AM-3PM, There will be an inside shoulder closure on I-24 in both directions between MM 81.9 and MM 82.1 (near US 231/SR 10/Shelbyville Hwy) for median wall repair.

 

Williamson County

  • Wednesday April 29 and Thursday April 30 , 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 96 westbound, near the intersection of Royal Oaks Blvd, in order to install a new curb inlet drain for stormwater.

 

TDOT Region 3 Utilities

Davidson County

  • From now through Wednesday April 15, 9AM -3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 24 (Charlotte Ave) at 38th Ave N in order for Metro Water Services to access a manhole and perform sewer maintenance.
  • From now through Thursday April 16, 7PM–6AM, There will be a lane closure on SR 11 (Nolensville Rd) south of the intersection of McClellan Street in order for Piedmont Gas to remove a 4” leaking valve and replace 40’ of 4” steel pipe in the sidewalk.
  • Thursday April 16 through Wednesday April 22, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) northbound, from 32nd Street to 30th Street in the city of Lakewood, in order for SBW Constructors to install new storm drain pipe.
  • Sunday April 19, 6AM–9AM, There will be two rolling stop blocks on I-40 at MM 210.7 (near I-40/24 split and University Court) in order for XO Communications to perform an aerial crossover of a fiber strand.
  • Sunday April 19 through Wednesday April 22, 7PM–6AM, There will be lane closure at the intersection of SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) and US 70 (SR 24/Lebanon Road) in order for Piedmont Gas to open-cut into the roadway to repair a leaking valve.
  • Monday April 20 through Friday April 24, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closure on SR 24 (Charlotte Pike) at the intersection of 11th Ave North in order for NES to replace one pole transfer conductors.
  • Tuesday April 21 through Thursday April 23, 7PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) westbound in order for Piedmont Gas to retire service at 4202 Old Hickory Blvd.

 

Miscellaneous Non-TDOT Projects

HCA

  • From now through Wednesday April 29, 2015, 6AM, 10AM and/or 2PM, The on-ramp to I-40 westbound from Charlotte Avenue (downtown) will be closed for 5-10 minutes for blasting operations in the area. This will occur weekly, Tuesdays through Saturdays.

 

Metro Public Works

  • Thursday April 16, 9PM-6AM, The northbound lanes of 1st Avenue South (US 70/ SR 24), between Korean Veterans Blvd and Demonbreun Street, will be closed for repaving and signal work. All northbound traffic will be detoured. Officers will be utilized during rush hours.
