BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

  • From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) over the Cumberland River

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on SR 45 in Old Hickory due to bridge repair. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Rehabilitation on I-40 at Charlotte Avenue, Johnston Avenue, Clinton Street, and Herman Street

  • Thursday May 14 through September 2015, 7AM-5PM, There will be a lane closure on 12th Avenue northbound, including the sidewalk and bike lane, to allow worker access to the median of I-40. 

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Grading, Drainage, and Paving of I-40 West Exit Ramp at Church Street

  • Thursday May 14, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on I-40 in both directions near MM 209 in order to install portable barrier wall and portable impact attenuators.
  • Friday May 15, 8PM through Monday May 18, 6AM, There will be a single left lane closure on I-40 westbound near MM 209 in order to work on proposed overhead sign structure footing in median barrier wall.
  • Friday May 15, 8PM through Saturday May 16, 7AM, There will be a double left lane closure on I-40 eastbound near MM 209 in order to excavate for proposed overhead sign structure footing in median barrier wall.
  • Saturday May 16, 7AM through Monday May 18, 5AM, There will be a single left lane closure on I-40 eastbound near MM 209 in order to pour proposed overhead sign structure footing in median barrier wall.
  • Monday May 18 through Thursday May 21, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on I-40 in both directions near MM 209 in order to work on proposed overhead sign structure footing in median barrier wall, and then remove portable barrier wall and portable impact attenuators.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Pike

  • Saturday May 16, 8AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 southbound at Dickerson Road to relocate barrier wall.  The ramp from I-65 to Dickerson Road will also be closed to shift traffic and restripe the roadway.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

  • Thursday May 14 through Wednesday, May 20, 9AM–3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 (approximately between MM 58 and Elam Road) and SR 840 (approximately between MM 48 and MM 57) for pole installation, electrical service work, fiber optic cabling installation, and conduit installation/proving/repairs.
  • Thursday May 14, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on I-24 in both directions near MM 58 (between Haywood Lane and Bell Road) in order to install portable barrier wall and portable impact attenuators.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Removal & Replacement of HOV Signing & Thermoplastic Markings on Various Interstates

  • Thursday May 14 through Wednesday May 20, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekend), There will be a shoulder closure on I-24, including on-ramps, from the Davidson County line to SR 231 (Shelbyville Hwy) for HOV sign installation.
  • Saturday May 16, 7AM-5PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-24 in both directions from Briley Pkwy (SR 155) to Old Hickory Blvd (SR 171) to install HOV mainline signage.

 

LEWIS COUNTY, Repair of Roadway Slope on SR 99

  • From now through May 2015, Traffic will be reduced to one lane on SR 99 westbound near Natchez Trace (LM 22-22.5) in order to perform slope work.

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

  • Thursday May 14 through Wednesday May 20, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations and utility relocation.

 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on SR 237 over I-24 (Exit 8)

  • Friday May 15, 8PM through Monday May 18, 5AM, I-24 eastbound will closed at MM 8.0 for bridge construction.  Traffic will be detoured utilizing the on- and off-ramps at SR 237 (Rossview Road).

 

ROBERTSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, Pavement Repair on I-65 from South of Honey Run Creek to North of Highland Road

  • Saturday May 16, 6AM-2PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound, from MM 114 to MM 117, in order to install underdrain.
  • Sunday May 17 through Wednesday May 20, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound, between MM 114 to MM 117, for milling and paving operations.

 

ROBERTSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, SmartWay ITS I-65 (North of Nashville) Expansion Project

  • Thursday May 14 through Wednesday May 20, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-65 southbound from MM 97 to MM 99 and northbound from MM 97 to MM 102 for trenching and conduit installation.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Construction of New Interchange on SR 1 (Broad St) at SR 10/SR 96 (Memorial Blvd/Old Fort Pkwy)

  • Thursday May 14 through Sunday May 17, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 96, Broad Street, and Burton Street for underground utility crossings.
  • Monday May 18 through Wednesday May 20, 11PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Broad Street, College Street, and Burton Street for potential underground utility crossings. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Intersection Improvements on SR 96 (Old Fort Pkwy) at Market Place

  • Friday May 15, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 96 in both directions in order to work on concrete curbs.  One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing of I-24 from East of SR 840 to Stones River Bridge

  • Thursday May 14 through Wednesday May 20, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions, from MM 75 to MM 79, in order to mill and pave the roadway. At least one lane will remain open in each direction. 

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Extension of Concrete Box Bridge on SR 109

  • From now through June 2015, Traffic will be reduced from two (2) lanes to one (1) lane on SR 109 northbound (S Broadway) at Jackson Road in Portland for concrete box bridge work. One lane will remain open. Message boards are in place.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction of Small Drainage Structure on SR 246 (W Main Street) over West Main Branch

  • Friday May 15, 8PM through Monday May 18, 5AM, SR 246 (W Main Street) will be closed near Roberts Street (LM 13.12) in Franklin in order to remove and replace a small drainage structure. Detours will be in place.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road

  • Thursday May 14 through Wednesday May 20, 9AM-3PM, Traffic will be flagged during construction operations as needed.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 840 to SR 248, Interchange Modifications and Widening on SR 248 from Lewisburg Pike to west of I-65

  • Thursday May 14 through Wednesday May 20, 1 PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 in both directions between MM 61 and MM 63 for blasting.
  • Thursday May 14 through Wednesday May 20, 9AM-3PM, There will be periodic lane closures on Goose Creek Bypass to prepare for sidewalk placement behind the curb. Flaggers will be utilized.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, SmartWay ITS I-65 (South of Nashville) Expansion Project

  • Thursday May 14 through Wednesday May 20, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on SR 840 from MM 30 to MM 34 for trenching and conduit installation.

 

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday May 14 through Wednesday May 20, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

 

  • Thursday May 14 through Wednesday May 20, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

  • Thursday May 14 through Wednesday May 20, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee for tree trimming and removal on an as-needed basis:

  • I-65 Maury and Robertson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Dickson, Hickman and Humphreys Counties

 

Davidson County

  • Thursday May 14 through Wednesday May 20, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations for sweeping operations. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Thursday May 14 through Wednesday May 20, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound between MM 201 (US 70/Charlotte Pike) and MM 204 (SR 155/Briley Parkway) for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday May 14 through Wednesday May 20, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekend), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 6 (Ellington Pkwy) in both directions between MM 11 (Trinity Lane) and MM 13 (Broadmoor Drive) for pavement repair.  One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday May 14 through Thursday May 14, 8PM-5AM, There will be two lanes closed on I-65 northbound between Harding Place and Armory Drive for milling and paving. Two lanes will remain open.

 

TDOT Region 3 Utilities

Davidson County

  • From now through Thursday May 14, 7PM–6AM, There will be a lane closure on SR 24 (Lebanon Pike) northbound near the intersection of SR 255 (Donelson Pike) in order for Piedmont Gas to open-cut into the roadway to bored ¾” gas line.
  • From now through Thursday May 14, 8PM–5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 in both directions at MM 82 under the Chestnut Street overpass bridge in order for Piedmont Gas to install two-part coating system, replace hangers, and install new dielectric shields.
  • Thursday May 14 through Friday May 22, 9AM -3PM, There will be lane closure on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) northbound, from 32nd Street to 30th Street, in the Lakewood community, in order for SBW Constructors to install new storm drain pipe.

 

TDOT Materials & Tests

Hickman-Maury County

  • Thursday May 14, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 7 (New Hwy 7) at the Hickman-Maury County line for pavement smoothness testing.
