BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

  • From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) over the Cumberland River

  • From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on SR 45 in Old Hickory due to bridge repair. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Rehabilitation on I-40 at Charlotte Avenue, Johnston Avenue, Clinton Street, and Herman Street

  • From now through September 2015, 7AM-5PM, There will be a lane closure on 12th Avenue northbound, including the sidewalk and bike lane, to allow worker access to the median of I-40. 

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Grading, Drainage, and Paving of I-40 West Exit Ramp at Church Street

  • Sunday May 31, 5AM-12PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 in both directions near MM 209, including short duration rolling roadblocks, for the installation and removal of an overhead sign structure.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Pike

  • Friday May 29, 9PM-5AM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 southbound before Trinity Lane in order to move barrier wall, stripe the roadway, set attenuators, and shift traffic to the newly constructed ramp.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday, June 3, 9AM–3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 (approximately between MM 58 and Elam Road) and SR 840 (approximately between MM 48 and MM 57) for pole installation, electrical service work, fiber optic cabling installation, and conduit installation/proving/repairs.
  • Monday June 1, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 840 in both directions, near MM 50 (Veterans Pkwy) and MM 57 (Sulphur Springs Road), with a short duration rolling roadblock for the installation of an overhead sign structure.
  • Tuesday June 2, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions, near MM 77 (between Medical Center Pkwy and SR 96) and MM 86 (between Joe B Jackson Pkwy and Buchanan Road), with a short duration rolling roadblock for the installation of an overhead sign structure.
  • Wednesday June 3, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions, near MM 71 (between Almaville Road and SR 840) and MM 77 (between Medical Center Pkwy and SR 96), with a short duration rolling roadblock for the installation of an overhead sign structure.
  • Thursday June 4, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions, near MM 58 (between Haywood Lane and Bell Road), MM 65 (between Waldron Road and Sam Ridley Pkwy), and MM 71 (between Almaville Road and SR 840), with a short duration rolling roadblock for the installation of an overhead sign structure.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Removal & Replacement of HOV Signing & Thermoplastic Markings on Various Interstates

  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday June 3, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekend), There will be a shoulder closure on I-24, including on-ramps, from the Davidson County line to SR 231 (Shelbyville Hwy) for HOV sign installation.
  • Saturday May 30, 7AM-5PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-24, including on-ramps, from the Davidson County line to SR 231 (Shelbyville Hwy) for HOV sign installation.

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday June 3, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations and utility relocation.

 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on SR 237 over I-24 (Exit 8)

  • Tuesday June 2, 9AM-3PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-24 westbound, between MM 11.0 and MM 8.0, in order to move equipment and materials across the interstate. The alternate truck lane at this location will also be closed.

 

Look Ahead

  • Saturday June 6, 8AM-4PM, There will be rolling roadblocks in approximately 20-minute intervals on I-24 westbound, between MM 11.0 and MM 8.0, in order to install bridge beams.

 

ROBERTSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, Pavement Repair on I-65 from South of Honey Run Creek to North of Highland Road

  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday June 3, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Saturday), There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 in both directions, from MM 114 to MM 117, for milling and paving operations.

 

ROBERTSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, SmartWay ITS I-65 (North of Nashville) Expansion Project

  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday June 3, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-65 southbound from MM 97 to MM 99 and northbound from MM 97 to MM 102 for trenching and conduit installation.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Construction of New Interchange on SR 1 (Broad St) at SR 10/SR 96 (Memorial Blvd/Old Fort Pkwy)

  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday June 3, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Broad Street (SR 1), College Street, and Burton Street for potential underground utility crossings. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing of I-24 from East of SR 840 to Stones River Bridge

  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday June 3, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions, from MM 74 to MM 79, in order to mill and pave the roadway. At least one lane will remain open in each direction.
  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday June 3, 8PM-6AM, There will be lane closures on Medical center Parkway at the I-24 interchange (Exit 76) in order to remove and replace handicap ramps. One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • Friday May 29, 8PM through Monday June 1, 5AM, The I-24 eastbound exit ramp to SR 96 (Exit 78B) will be closed to all traffic in order to replace concrete pavement. Detours will be in place.

 

Look Ahead

  • Friday June 5, 8PM through Monday June 8, 5AM, There will be multiple lane closures on I-24 westbound at the bridge over Overall Creek (approximately MM 75.5) in order to replace bridge deck concrete. Two lanes will remain open. 

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements on SR 258 (New Shackle Island Road) at Intersection of Stop Thirty Road and Old Shackle Island Road

  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday June 3, 9AM-3PM, There will be a temporary, intermittent lane closure on New Shackle Road at Stop Thirty Road to allow trucks hauling material to enter the roadway. Flaggers will be utilized.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Installation of Signals on US 31E (SR 6) at SR 25

  • From now through June 2015, SR 25 (Red River Road) southbound will be closed from Blythe Avenue to US 31E (SR 6) in Gallatin for construction of new turn lane and installation of storm drains. Detours are in place.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Resurfacing of US 31E (SR 6) from North of SR 52 to the Kentucky State line.  

  • Monday June 1 through Friday June 5, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 6 in both directions, from north of SR 52 in Westmoreland to the Kentucky State line, for milling operations.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Extension of Concrete Box Bridge on SR 109

  • From now through June 2015, Traffic will be reduced from two (2) lanes to one (1) lane on SR 109 northbound (S Broadway) at Jackson Road in Portland for concrete box bridge work. One lane will remain open. Message boards are in place.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road

  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday June 3, 9AM-3PM, Traffic will be flagged during construction operations as needed.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, SmartWay ITS I-65 (South of Nashville) Expansion Project

  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday June 3, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on SR 840 from MM 30 to MM 34 for trenching and conduit installation.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Widening of I-40 from East of SR 109 to East of SR 840

  • Thursday May 28 through Tuesday June 3, 9AM-4PM, There will be alternating rolling shoulder closures on I-40 in both directions in order to execute asphalt core samples on outside shoulders.

 

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday June 3, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as-needed basis:
  • SR 840, Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson
  • I-24, Rutherford and Bedford
  • I-65, Williamson

 

  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday June 3, 8PM-5AM, There will be possible lane closures at the following locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to repair guardrail on an as-needed basis:

Davidson County

  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday June 3, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations for sweeping operations. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday June 3, 8PM-5AM, There will be a lane closure on I-24 eastbound at MM 89.4 and westbound at MM 96.2 so that damage from vehicle fires may be repaired.
  • Monday June 1 through Wednesday June 3, 7PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Briley Parkway (SR 155) in both directions, between Ashland City Highway (SR 12) and Centennial Blvd in order for milling and paving. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

TDOT Region 3 Utilities

Davidson County

  • Thursday May 28 through Friday May 29, 9AM -3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR-6 (Gallatin Road) westbound at the bridge over Mansker Creek in order for Piedmont Gas to install two-part coating to pipeline, replace support hangers, and install new dielectric shields around hangers.
  • Sunday May 31 through Monday August 31, 7PM–6AM, There will be a lane closure on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) northbound, from 26th Street to Hadley Ave in the Lakewood community in order for Cumberland Valley Construction to install 16” transmission water line.
  • Thursday May 28 through Friday June 5, 9AM–3PM, There will be lane closure on SR 31 (8th Ave South) westbound, between Palmer Place and Olympic Ave, in order for South Bechtel/Bear Construction to stage vehicles, dump spoils, etc, prior to excavation.

 

Miscellaneous Non-TDOT Projects

City of Brentwood / Stansell Electric

  • Thursday May 28 through Wednesday June 3, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekend), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 6 (Franklin Road), from South of Chadwick Drive to Executive Center Drive in Brentwood, for trenching and conduit tie-ins.
