NASHVILLE – On March 2, 2017 the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) is proud to be hosting the first Tennessee Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Explorer Post. The first meeting will take place at the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security Training Center. The meeting will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. The Law Enforcement Explorer Program is for anyone from the ages of 14-20 who is interested in a career in law enforcement. Once in the program, the explorers will meet monthly to learn about the THP operations and structure.

There will be periods of classroom instruction along with hands-on exercises where the explorers can demonstrate their proficiency in what they have learned. If interested, please contact Trooper David Hannah, Sergeant Bill Fitzgerald, or Sergeant Travis Plotzer via email at david.hannah@tn.gov , bill.fitzgerald@tn.gov or travis.plotzer@tn.gov.

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security’s (www.TN.Gov/safety) mission is to serve, secure, and protect the people of Tennessee.
