State Agencies to Discuss Joint Initiatives to Improve Workforce Readiness Education

Next week, the Tennessee State Board of Education (SBE) and the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) will hold their annual joint meeting to address K-12 education and postsecondary alignment to improve workforce readiness.

WHEN:        Thursday, July 25 from 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Members of the SBE and THEC will hear from an industry partnership panel including representatives from the Tennessee Board of Regents, the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, and Nissan North America about the future of the Tennessee workforce. SBE and THEC staff members will also present a joint presentation on regional initiatives dedicated to improving career readiness in the state.
