David Kan serves as the Chief Information Officer for the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council, where he is responsible for overseeing the agency’s information technology (IT) infrastructure, technical support services, technology and security audits, and IT regulatory compliance for Tennessee’s sports wagering and fantasy sports licensees.

 David has over twenty years of gaming and lottery industry experience, with extensive knowledge in gaming systems, operations, and software development.  Prior to joining theTennessee Sports Wagering Council, David served as the Vice President of Information Systems at the Tennessee Education Lottery where he oversaw the corporation’s network and security infrastructures, data center operations, telecommunications, software development and quality assurance, and IT support services.  David has also previously held IT management positions with Scientific Games and Intralot with a focus on software development, system architecture, and operations support. 

 Throughout his career, David has focused on increasing business value by bridging IT with business needs, along with having a strong focus on improving process capabilities, increasing operational efficiencies, and collaborating with other vertical and horizontal business markets on the use of technology to achieve strategic business goals.

 David is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in engineering and holds a master’s in business administrationfrom Georgia State University.
