Middle Tennessee Weekly Construction Lane Closure November 5-11, 2015

BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10) - From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River --From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

  • Tuesday November 10  through Thursday November 12, 8PM-5AM Nightly, One lane of I-40 will be closed westbound at MM 190.0 in order to grind phase 1 bridge deck. Queue trucks and troopers will be utilized.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) over the Cumberland River -- From now through December 13, 2015, State Route 45 at the Cumberland River (Rayon City) will be reduced to one lane in both directions in order to perform bridge work.  One lane will remain open each direction.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Rehabilitation on I-40 at Charlotte Avenue, Johnston Avenue, Clinton Street, and Herman Street

  • Thursday November 5 through Thursday November 12, 8PM-6AM, There will be lane closures of up to two lanes on I-40 in both directions between Clinton Ave and Charlotte Ave to allow for preparation work.
  • Thursday November 5 through Tuesday November 10, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure of the inside lanes of Charlotte (North or South but not both at the same time) and a sidewalk closure at Charlotte to allow for sidewalk and curb and gutter replacement.
  • Friday November 6, 8PM through Monday November 9, 6AM, I-40 downtown in both directions will be closed at the I-65/I-40 north and south splits for paving, joint work & water proofing.  Detours will be in place. 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52 -- Thursday November 5 through Wednesday November 11, 7AM-5PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 from Goose Creek to SR52, for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations and utility relocation.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on SR 237 (Rossview Road) over I-24 (Exit 8)

  • Friday November 6, 8PM through Monday November 9, 5AM, I-24 westbound will be closed at MM 8.0 (Rossview Rd.) for bridge demolition. SR 237 / Rossview Road will also be closed at this location.
  • Look Ahead: Friday November 13, 8PM through Monday November 16, 5AM, I-24 eastbound will be closed at MM 8.0 (Rossview Rd.) for bridge demolition. SR 237 / Rossview Road will also be closed at this location.

ROBERTSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, SmartWay ITS I-65 (North of Nashville) Expansion Project -- Thursday November 5 through Wednesday November 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be a right shoulder closure on I-65 northbound and southbound between mile marker 93.6 and mile marker 110.0 for installing pull boxes.

TROUSDALE COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 260 over Little Goose Creek -- Monday November 9 through July 31, 2016, SR 260 will be closed at LM 5.58 for bridge repair work. All traffic will be routed onto designated detour routes.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 100 (Fairview Blvd) from East of Deer Ridge Road to East of Planters Road and SR 46 from South of Moore Rd. to Green Chapel Rd.

  • Thursday November 5 through Wednesday November 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 100 from MM 3.0 to MM 5.11 for striping. There will be one lane open and flaggers will be used.
  • Thursday November 5 through Wednesday November 11, 9AM-3PM, There will a lane closure on SR 46 from LM 15.0 to LM 19.32 for striping. There will be one lane open and flaggers will be used.
  • Friday November 6, 8PM through Monday November 9, 5AM, There will be a lane closure on SR 46 at LM 16.98    (Bridge over SR 840) for bridge deck repair and overlay.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road -- Thursday November 5 through Wednesday November 11, 9AM-3PM, Concord Road between Sunset Road and Nolensville Road will be reduced to one lane periodically for construction operations.  Traffic will be flagged at these times.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, SmartWay ITS I-65 (South of Nashville) Expansion Project

  • Thursday November 5 through Wednesday November 11, 9PM-5AM, There will be multiple lane closures on SR 840 in both directions from the 26 mile marker to the 38 mile marker for bridge conduit installation and pull boxes.
  • Thursday November 5 through Wednesday November 11, 9PM-6AM, There will be a right lane closure on I-65 at the McEwen ramp exit northbound for conduit installation.
  • Thursday November 5 through Wednesday November 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-65 northbound from MM76 through MM67 to install conduit and pull boxes.

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 70 (SR 24) from East of Park Glen Drive to SR 109

  • Thursday November 5 through Wednesday November 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on U.S. 70 (S.R. 24) for rumble strips and pavement marking operations.
  • Saturday November 7 through Sunday November 8, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on U.S. 70 (S.R. 24) for rumble strips and pavement marking operations.

 

TDOT Bridge Inspection

Davidson County --- Monday November 9 through Friday November 13 (excluding holiday), 9AM-3PM, The right lane be closed for bridge inspection on:  (One lane will remain open)

The ramp from I-40 westbound (MM 204) to State Route 155 (Briley Parkway)
The ramp from State Route 155 (Briley Parkway) to I-40 eastbound (MM 204)

 

TDOT Maintenance

Davidson County ---Thursday November 5 through Wednesday November 11, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for sweeping and drain cleaning operations.  This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.

Davidson and Wilson County Line --Retracing of Pavement Markings

Monday November 9 through Wednesday November 11, 9AM-3PM, There will be moving lane closures for TDOT acceptance testing on I-40 in Wilson County from the Davidson / Wilson County line to Exit 226 and from MM 233 to MM 240, SR 109 in Wilson County from I-40 to SR 24 (US 70), and SR 109 in Sumner County from Belvedere Dr. to the Sumner / Robertson County Line.

Humphreys County --- Thursday November 5, 7PM- 12 Midnight, I-40 at the 141.3 mile marker will have one lane closed westbound for bridge repair operations.  Troopers will be utilized.

Williamson County-- Monday November 9 through Thursday November 12, 8AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 840 in both directions between mile marker 10 and mile marker 28 for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

Davidson County --- From now through Friday November 20, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekends), There will be lane closures on the follow routes in order for Bechtel/Bear Construction to perform utility work.  Davidson County

  • SR 24 (Broadway) near the intersection of 6th Ave S
  • SR 1 (Murfreesboro Road) northbound, between Fesslers Lane and Fairfield Drive
  • SR 31 (8th Ave South) westbound, between Edgehill Ave and Wedgewood Ave
  • SR 24 (Charlotte Avenue) northbound, between American Road and 10th Avenue N
  • SR 1 (Lafayette Street) northbound, between Fairfield Ave and 2nd Ave S
  • SR 1 (Memphis-Bristol Hwy) northbound, between Old Harding Pike and Old Hickory Blvd
  • 1st Ave S, between Malloy and Broadway
  • SR 24 (Broadway), between 1st and 2nd Avenues
  • SR 106 (Hillsboro Pike) southbound, between Overhill Drive and Castleman Drive

From now through Friday November 6, 9AM-3PM, Metro Water and Sewer install 8” Public Water Main Cottage Park from Pine Ridge Drive to Hart Lane on West side then open cut SR-11 (Dickerson Pike) to East side.  Davidson County
From now through Friday November 6, 9AM-3PM, Metro Water and Sewer will be lining sewer main on Old Hickory Blvd in the City of Lakewood between 22nd St and 26th St outside outbound lane.  Davidson County
Saturday November 7, 12Midnight through Sunday November 8, 8PM, There will be lane closures on the outside lane southbound side of 8th Ave S at Division Street. This is for the restoration of the concrete sidewalk.
Saturday November 7, 3AM through Monday November 9, 6AM, There will be a closure of the ramp from Armory Drive to Powell Avenue to replace concrete.  Contractor will have signed detour in place.
From now through Friday November 13, 9AM–3PM, Charlotte Avenue at 40th Avenue N. Metro Water and Civil Constructors will be tying into an existing water main East Bound Outside Lane from the railroad tracks to just past 40th Ave will be closed.   Davidson County
From now through Sunday November 15, 7PM-6AM, Metro Water and Sewer will be working on the North and South side of Charlotte Pike installing 12’ DIP Water Main. (Grand Fire Protections, LLC) Between 11th Ave and 12th Ave. Davidson County
From now through Friday November 15, 8PM–5AM, There will be lane closures along SR 11 (Nolensville Pike) in the 2000 block in order for Metro Water Services to renew approximately 30 water service locations. Davidson County
From now through Monday November 23, 8PM-5AM, Broadway at 17th Ave. Metro Water and Sewer will be tying into existing water and sewer mains with a new 8” main and fire hydrant assy. In the south margin of Broadway SR-1.

 

Montgomery and Robertson Counties --- From now through November 2015, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekends), There will be lane closures on SR 76 eastbound, between Port Royal Road and Harmony Church Road in the city of Adams, in order for Cumberland Electric Membership Corp to place aerial cable at several locations.
