BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.
Monday September 21 and Tuesday September 22, 9PM-6AM, There will be lane closures on I-40 in both directions at MM 190.0 in order to shift traffic to the new bridge.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 41 (US 70S/SR 1/Murfreesboro Road) from Transit Avenue to Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority

Thursday September 17 through Tuesday September 22, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on Murfreesboro Road for paving operations. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) over the Cumberland River

From now through December 2015, Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on SR 45 in Old Hickory due to bridge repair. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Rehabilitation on I-40 at Charlotte Avenue, Johnston Avenue, Clinton Street, and Herman Street

From now through September 2015, 7AM-5PM, There will be a lane closure on 12th Avenue northbound, including the sidewalk and bike lane, to allow worker access to the median of I-40. 
From now through Friday September 25, 8PM-6AM (excluding weekends), There will be lane closures on I-40 in both directions at the Herman Street bridge for bridge work. One lane will remain open.

Friday September 18, 8PM through Monday September 21, 6AM, All lanes of I-40 along the Nashville downtown loop will be closed, from the I-40/I-65 split west of downtown to the I-40/I-65 split south of downtown, for bridge repairs. Additionally, Herman Street will be closed between 10th and 16th Avenues. Detours will be in place.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Pike

Friday September 18, 9PM through Monday September 21, 5AM, There will be a lane closure on the ramp from SR 386 (Vietnam Veterans Blvd) onto I-65 South to pour concrete parapet and replace metal barrier wall.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 9AM–3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 (approximately between MM 58 and Elam Road) and SR 840 (approximately between MM 48 and MM 57) for pole installation, electrical service work, fiber optic cabling installation, conduit installation/proving/repairs, and staging of overhead sign structures.

 

DAVIDSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, Resurfacing of I-65 from the CSX Railroad to US 31W

Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 8PM-6AM (excluding weekend), There will be lane closures on I-65 in both directions, from MM 96 to MM 99, for paving operations. At least one lane will remain open. Additionally, the northbound off-ramp at Rivergate Parkway (Exit 96), the northbound on-ramp at Long Hollow Pike, and the northbound off-ramp at Millersville (Exit 98) will be closed as needed for pavement repairs. Ramp traffic will detoured when ramps are closed.

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 7AM-5PM (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations, and utility relocation.

 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 13 (Wilma Rudolph Blvd) from Fairview Lane to Fairbrook Place

Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 7AM-3PM (excluding weekends), There will be lane closures on SR 13 from just south of 101st Airborne Pkwy to just south of I-24 Exit 4 for milling and paving operations.

 

ROBERTSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, SmartWay ITS I-65 (North of Nashville) Expansion Project

Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-65 in both directions, from MM 104 to MM 93, for trenching, boring and conduit installation.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Construction of New Interchange on SR 1 (Broad St) at SR 10/SR 96 (Memorial Blvd/Old Fort Pkwy)

Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 96 and SR 1 for construction activities. One lane will remain open in each direction. Additionally, Broadmoor Boulevard will be closed to through traffic until further notice in order to perform utility crossings.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing of SR 268 (Compton Road) from US 231 (SR 10) to SR 96

Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 268 in both directions for paving operations. Traffic will be flagged in two-lane sections.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 96 from Veterans Pkwy to the Williamson County line

Monday September 21 through Wednesday September 23, 9AM–3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 96 in both directions for shoulder de-grassing operations. Traffic will be flagged.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing of I-24 from East of SR 840 to Stones River Bridge

Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 9AM-3PM, There will be shoulder closures on I-24 in both directions, between MM 74 to MM 79, to perform cleanup operations. All lanes will remain open.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements on SR 258 (New Shackle Island Road) at Intersection of Stop Thirty Road and Old Shackle Island Road

Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 9AM-3PM, There will be a temporary, intermittent lane closure on New Shackle Road at Stop Thirty Road to complete final project items. Traffic will be flagged.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Installation of Signals on US 31E (SR 6) at SR 25

From now through September 2015, SR 25 (Red River Road) southbound will be closed from Blythe Avenue to US 31E (SR 6) in Gallatin for intersection improvement work. Detours are in place.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 52 from Jackson Road to East of Harper Road

Sunday September 20 through Wednesday September 23, 6PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 52 in Portland for milling operations.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-65 from the Maury County line to North of SR 840  

Thursday  September 17 through Monday  September 21, 8PM-5AM (excluding Saturday), There will be a lane closure on I-65 southbound, from Liberty Pike to SR 96 (MM 65-66), for milling and paving operations. At least two lanes will remain open.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road

Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 9AM-3PM, Traffic will be flagged during construction operations as needed.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, SmartWay ITS I-65 (South of Nashville) Expansion Project

Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 9PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on SR 840 in both directions, from MM 28 to MM 34, for bridge conduit installation.
Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on SR 840 eastbound, from MM 28 to MM 35.5, for installation of conduit and poles.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Interchange Lighting at I-40 and SR 171 (Mt Juliet Road)  

Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 9AM-3PM, There will be shoulder closures on I-40 in both directions in order to install underground conduit, pull boxes, and pole foundations. All lanes will remain open.
Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 8PM–6AM, There will be a lane closure on the I-40 eastbound on-ramp from Mt Juliet Road in order to drill and install high mast pole foundations. At least one ramp lane will remain open.
Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 8PM–6AM, There will be a lane closure on the I-40 westbound on-ramp from Mt Juliet Road in order to drill and install high mast pole foundations. At least one ramp lane will remain open. Additionally, the I-40 eastbound off-ramp to South Mt Juliet Road (Exit 226A) will be CLOSED in order to drill and install high mast pole foundations. Traffic will be diverted to Exit 226B (North Mt Juliet Road) or 226C (Belinda Pkwy).

Cheatham County

Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 8PM-6AM, There will be moving lane closures on I-40 in both directions, from the Williamson-Cheatham County line (MM 184) to the Cheatham-Davidson County line (MM 192) for striping operations.

 

Davidson County

Friday September 18 and Monday September 21 through Wednesday September 23, 9AM–3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-24 eastbound, from MM 47 to MM47.2 (near Jefferson Street/Ellington Pkwy), to install a ground-mounted sign. All travel lanes will remain open.
Thursday September 17, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on SR 155 (White Bridge Road) in both directions, north of Harding Road, for bridge repair. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

Giles County

Friday September 18, 9:30AM-10:30AM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 northbound, between MM 15.5 and MM 17.0, in order to view vendor demonstration on pothole patching. One lane will remain open.

 

Hickman County

Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 8PM-6AM, There will be moving lane closures on I-40 in both directions, from the Humphreys-Hickman County line (MM 148) to the Hickman-Dickson County line (MM 163), for striping operations.
Thursday September 17, 7PM through Friday September 18, 5AM, There will be a lane closure on I-40 in both directions, between MM 152 and MM 149, for milling & paving operations. Troopers will be utilized.

 

Humphreys County

Tuesday September 22, 8PM through Wednesday September 23, 2AM, SR 231 (Erin Road) will be CLOSED between Sheehy Road and Peach Creek Road in order to replace a collapsed culvert.

 

Rutherford County

Thursday September 17, 8PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on SR 840 in both directions at MM 65 (SR 452/Bill France Blvd) for paving at bridge ends.
Wednesday September 23, 8PM-5AM, There will be lane closure on I-24 westbound, between MM 65 (near Waldron Road) and MM 67 (near Sam Ridley Pkwy) for drain cleaning operations. Three lanes will remain open.
Monday September 21 through Wednesday September 23, 8AM-4PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Epps Mill Rd over I-24 at Exit 89 (Buchanan Road) for the milling and paving operations. Traffic will be flagged.

 

Smith County

Tuesday September 22, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure of I-40 eastbound at MM 263 for bridge and asphalt repair.

 

Wilson County

Thursday September 17 through Friday September 18 and Monday September 21, 9AM –3PM, There will be shoulder closures on I-40 eastbound, from MM 252 to MM 253, I-40 westbound, from MM 256 to MM 255, and the off-ramps at Exit 254 (SR 141) in order to install sign footers. All travel lanes and ramps will remain open.
Tuesday September 22, 8PM-12 Midnight, There will be a moving lane closure on I-40 eastbound, from SR (171Mt Juliet Road) to SR 109, in order to obtain cores from the roadway.

From now through Friday October 30, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekends), There will be lane closures on the follow routes in order for Bechtel/Bear Construction to perform utility work.

Thursday September 17, 7PM-6AM, There will lane closures on SR 106 (Hillsboro Pike) in the 4000 block in order for Metro Water Services to open cut the roadway and install new water main and fire hydrant assembly.
Thursday September 17 through Friday September 18, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 6 (Main Street) at 9th Street in order for Metro Water Services to access a water main that extends into the roadway.
Monday September 21 through Thursday September 24, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on the off-ramp of I-40 westbound at EXIT 205 (51st/46th Avenue) in order for Metro Water Services to repair a leaking main sewer line.
Wednesday September 23 through Thursday October 8, 8PM-5AM, There will be lane closures along SR 11 (Nolensville Pike) in the 2000 block in order for Metro Water Services to renew approximately 30 water service locations.

 

Montgomery County

From now through Wednesday September 30, 8AM-6PM (excluding weekends), There will be lane closures on SR 13, from McWhorter Road to east of Budds Creek Road in the Cunningham community, in order for Montgomery County Gas Authority to install 6” steel gas main.

 

Montgomery and Robertson Counties

From now through November 2015, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekends), There will be lane closures on SR 76 eastbound, between Port Royal Road and Harmony Church Road in the city of Adams, in order for Cumberland Electric Membership Corp to place aerial cable at several locations.

 

Robertson County

Sunday September 20, 6AM-8AM, There will be a rolling roadblock on I-65 in both directions at MM 118 (near Portland/Cross Plains) in order for CEMC to pull fiber optic cable across the interstate.

 

Williamson County

Saturday September 19, 6AM–10AM, There will be a lane closure on SR-31 (Columbia Ave) southbound at 9th Avenue in order for XO Communications to bore under the roadway to find an existing gas line.

 

Miscellaneous Non-TDOT Projects

City of Brentwood / Stansell Electric 

Thursday September 17 through Wednesday September 23, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 6 (Franklin Road), from South of Chadwick Drive to Executive Center Drive in Brentwood, to install signalization equipment.

 

City of Franklin / JS Haren Company 

From now through Friday September 25, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekend), There will be lane closures on SR 106 (Hillsboro Road), from south of Black Horse Pkwy to Poteat Place, for drilling and blasting work.

 

City of Lebanon / J&S Construction 

Monday September 21 and Tuesday September 22, 6AM-4PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 24 (West Main Street) eastbound at Pennsylvania Avenue for storm water repair. One lane will remain open.
