BENTON COUNTY-I-40 at MM 133: Sunday, October 16, 8:30 a. m.-9:00 a.m.: I-40 will be shut down, for 20 minutes, to pull new electrical wire across I-40.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424: Construction of a concrete bulb-tee beam bridge on SR 424 over Roan Creek will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

DYER COUNTY, I-155:    Wednesday, October 12 through Wednesday, October 19: There will be temporary lane closures east and westbound for bridge repairs.  Speed limit is reduced to 60 MPH.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64); Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the 5 lane section to near Tomlin Road.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-43 (US-45E): Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from north of Cades/Atwood Road to the Weakley County line including bridge deck repair.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-77: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Dyer County line  to SR-5 (US-45W) .

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-185: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from US 45W (SR 5) to the 90 degree turn.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-100: Bridge Repair project on SR 100 over overflow at log mile 7.58​ Tuesday, May 31 through May 31, 2017: There will be lane closures in both directions on SR 100, for duration of the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.  Watch for flagmen.

Restrictions: On Tuesday, June 14, 2016, a signal system was put into place. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 11’ lane restriction.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64): A widening project on SR 15 from Firetower Road to west of Bigbee Branch. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR 15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.​ Thursday, October 13, 6:30 p. m. through Friday, October 14, 6:30 a. m.: Main St. at the intersection of SR 128 westbound to Guinn St. will be closed for the installation of a water main. Weather Permitting.

HAYWOOD COUNTY-Bridge over I-40 at Hawkins Lane: Bridge Repair project over I-40 at Hawkins Lane log mile 0.47 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.​

Wednesday, October 19, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.: There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 eastbound near Brownsville for eFog Demo evaluation.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-54: Safety Improvements: Temporary one-lane closures in both directions from Smith Road to the Kentucky State Line.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-140: Bridge Repair project on SR 140 over Mill Creek will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.​
Restrictions:  Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 10’ lane restriction.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-218: Grading, drainage, construction of I-beam bridge and paving 2.6 miles on SR 218 from SR 69 northwest of Paris to US-641 (SR 54). On Friday May 8, 2015, Iron Banks Road was closed to thru traffic until approximately October 31, 2016.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-21: Bridge Repair project on SR 21 over Reelfoot Spillway will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Restrictions: On Tuesday, July 19, through Wednesday, November 30, a signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one 9’ 9” lane in each direction.

Lake County, SR-21:  The construction of a concrete I-Beam bridge on SR 21 over Branch Creek (L.M. 1.20), including grading, drainage, and paving.  Beginning Monday September 12, 2016,  SR 21 was closed to thru traffic until approximately September 30, 2017. Detour route posted.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-3: Friday July 29 through Friday, October 28: Intersection improvement at Industrial Drive. Northbound outside lane will be closed. A taper using barrier rail will begin at log mile 11.00 and extend to the intersection at Industrial Drive log mile 11.35. Speed limit has been reduced to 45MPH.

Restrictions: This will leave the inside northbound lane open with a 12’ lane restriction.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-18: Construction of a concrete box bridge on SR 18 over Meridian Creek will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. A temporary signal will be utilized.​
Restrictions: Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 11’ lane restriction.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-186 north of I-40 to south of Channing Way Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from just North of I-40 (LM 3.35) to South of Channing Way (LM 4.44). At least one lane will remain open at all times.

Friday, October 14, 8:00 p. m. through Monday, October 17, 6:00 a. m.: The ramp from I-40 westbound to northbound SR-186 (Exit 80B) and the ramp from southbound SR-186 to westbound I-40 will be closed for epoxy overlay on the bridges over Vann Drive.  Only one (1) ramp will be closed at any given time.  THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

Friday, October 14, 8:00 p. m. through Monday, October 17, 6:00 a. m. and

Monday, October 17 through Wednesday, October 19, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m:

There will be temporary lane closures north and southbound from just north of I-40 (LM 3.35) to south of Channing Way (LM 4.44) for epoxy overlay on the bridge over Vann Drive.  One lane will remain open at all times.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-197: Construction of 2 concrete I-beam bridges, grading, drainage and paving. Beginning Friday April 15, 2016 through Sunday, May 31, 2017: There will be lane a closure on State Route 197, just east of Beech Bluff Rd. over branch.

Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ lane restriction.

Beginning Monday October 24, through Wednesday, May 31, 2017 Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with an 10’ lane restriction.

MCNAIRY COUNTY, SR-15: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from US 64 (SR 15) from the end of the 4 lane section to the Hardin County line.

MCNAIRY COUNTY. SR-117: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from SR 142 to US 64 (SR 15).

MCNAIRY COUNTY, SR-117: Bridge Repair project on SR 117 over Snake Creek.

Tuesday, May 31 through May 31, 2017: There will be lane closures in both directions on SR 117 Beginning Tuesday, June 14, a signal system will be utilized. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.  Watch for flagmen.

Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, SR-3 US-51): Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Walker Tanner Road log mile 16.02 to SR 431 log mile 17.83.

OBION COUNTY, SR-215 (US-45E): Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from (US-45E) SR 43 log mile 0.00 to the Kentucky State line log mile 2.07, including bridge deck repair.

Saturday, October 15, 10:00 a. m.-2:00 p. m: Appling Road to I-40 east “On” ramp will be CLOSED for concrete joint sealing. *Right Lane of I-40 east will be CLOSED to seal joint where the ramp meets the mainline.

Saturday, October 15, 7:00 a. m.-11:00 a. m..:  Southbound Germantown Road to I-40 west “Off” ramp will be CLOSED for joint sealing.

Saturday, October 15, 11:00 a. m.-7:00 p. m.: I-40 east and westbound will have INTERMITTENT CLOSURES of ramps for touchup work and final sealing. *Closures should last less than 45 minutes at each ramp to complete work. *Sunday, October 16, will serve as a backup day.

Wednesday, October 12 through Wednesday, October 19: I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.  There are lane shifts east and westbound on I-40. Beginning December 5, 2014, there are transitions south and northbound on Canada Road.

Wednesday, October 12, 9:00 p. m. through December 2016: Canada Road to I-40 east will be CLOSED.

Thursday, October 13, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be a temporary right outside lane closure on I-40 westbound (LM-20.00) for the purpose of moving barrier rail and transferring traffic to the new outside lanes and temporary exit ramp to Canada Rd.

* Friday, October 14 will serve as backup date.

Wednesday, October 19, 8:00 p. m.-10:00 p. m.: There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 eastbound over the Mississippi River Bridge to temporarily install a light fixture, for the donor review and approval (Mockup).

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 beginning north of SR-385 and extending to north of Walnut Grove Road  Wednesday, October 12 - Wednesday, October 19: There are no scheduled closures.

Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16, 6:00 a. m.-7:00 p. m.: There will be a right outside lane closure between Poplar and Park on I-240 westbound to inspect bridge footing. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements:

Sam Cooper EB: The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard eastbound is CLOSED, beginning east of Perkins Road to the I-40/I-240 interchange.

Sam Cooper WB: The right lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard westbound is CLOSED, beginning east of the I-40/I-240 interchange. (Two left lanes are open)

I-240: There are inside shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 between Walnut Grove and I-40 interchange. One lane of southbound I-240 is also CLOSED in this same section.

I-40 WB: 3 lanes will remain open for bridge work over the Wolf River Bridge.

(1 lane Sam Cooper, 1 lane I-240W, 1 lane I-40W/new flyover)

I-40 EB: 3 lanes will remain open for bridge work over the Wolf River Bridge.

(1 lane I-240E to I-40E, 1 lane I-40E (new flyover) 1 lane Sam Cooper)

I-240 EB ramp has 1 lane open.

I-240 EB to I-40 WB has the left lane closed.

Summer Ave. Exit:  The Summer Ave. exit from I-40 WB will remain closed until completion of Wolf River Bridge.  Motorist must exit off I-40 WB at Exit 12 (Sycamore View) and follow detour to Summer Ave.

Covington Pike is one lane in each direction at the I-40 Interchange.

Summer Avenue - The outside eastbound lane will be CLOSED.

Wednesday, October 12 and Thursday, October 13, 9:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:

INTERMITTENT lanes will be closed on I-240 EB/I-40 WB beginning North of Walnut Grove extending to west of Covington Pike Interchange. 

The following ramps will be closed during this work (Detour will be in place):

  • I-40 westbound to westbound Sam Cooper
  • Covington Pike to I-40 westbound

* Saturday, October 15 and Monday, October 17, 9PM-6AM will serve as backup dates.

Friday, October 14, 9:00 p. m. through Monday, October 17, 6:00 a. m: CLOSE the three left lanes of I-240 eastbound/I-40 westbound beginning at Walnut Grove. This allows for the complete closure of I-240 eastbound/I-40 westbound at the Green Line overpass, and directs traffic onto ramp towards I-40 eastbound. This closure is for the epoxy overlay of the green line bridge. I-40 westbound will remain closed until the work is complete on that portion of the overpass. Once that phase is finished, the closure will shift to the right lane of I-240 eastbound from Walnut Grove, which closes I-40 eastbound. I-40 westbound will then be open, which detours I-40 eastbound traffic to Jackson Ave. and back via I-240 westbound/I-40 eastbound Flyover.

During the I-40 WB closure:

  • Ramp from I-40 WB to WB Sam Cooper will be closed. (Detour to Whitten Road and back via I-40 WB)
  • Ramp from I-40 WB to Summer Ave. will be closed. (Detour to Whitten Road and back via I-40 WB to Sycamore View)

*The access to these ramps will be lost due to the closure in that direction.

Wednesday, October 12, 8:00 p. m.–6:00 a. m.: CLOSE left lane of I-240 westbound at the I-40 east/I-240 west split through the interchange to allow for milling of the inside lane and shoulder.

* Thursday, October 13 and Friday, October 14, 8PM-6AM will serve as backup dates.

Wednesday, October 12, 8:00 p. m.–6:00 a. m.: CLOSE the I-240 west ramp to Sam Cooper, and the eastbound I-240 ramp to Sam Cooper, to allow for ramp milling.

* Thursday, October 13 and Friday, October 14, 8PM-6AM will serve as backup dates.

Friday, October 14, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: CLOSE the two right lanes of I-40 WB beginning at Summer Ave. for final surface paving.

The following ramps will be closed short term for one hour during this work:

  • Summer Ave to I-40 WB (Detour to White Station/Stratford to Covington Pike)
  • I-40 westbound to Covington Pike (Detour to Jackson Ave and back via I-40 eastbound)

Sunday, October 16, 8:00 p. m.–6:00 a. m.: CLOSE the I-40 WB flyover, beginning at the Wolf River Bridge, continuing the closure of the 2 left lanes through the Covington Pike Interchange, for final surface paving. *Detour will be posted.

LOOK AHEAD: 

Wednesday, October 19 through Friday October 21, 9:00 p. m.– 6:00 a. m.:

INTERMITTENT lane closures of eastbound I-40 and westbound I-40 from the Wolf River to Sycamore View, to allow for removal of barrier rail, lane realignment, and final surface paving.

Wednesday, October 19 through Friday, October 21, 8:00 p. m.– 6:00 a. m.:

CLOSE eastbound Sam Cooper Blvd. to allow for final surface paving.  A detour to Walnut Grove will be in-place.

Wednesday, October 19 through Friday, October 21, 9:00 a. m.–3:00 p. m.:

CLOSE the I-240 westbound deceleration lane between the Summer Ave. on-ramp and the Sam Cooper off-ramp for constructing the overhead sign structure foundation.  Both ramps will remain open.

INTERMITTENT lane closures of all interstate routes and Sam Cooper Blvd., for the purpose of milling and/or paving, weekdays 8:00 p. m.– 6:00 a. m. and weekends from Friday 8:00 p. m. through Monday 6:00 a. m. (Specific dates and locations will be given when available depending on weather and work progression).

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-3: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Shelby County line to Woodlawn Avenue

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-3:  Monday, October 17 through Friday, October 21, 7:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.:  There will be a temporary lane closure south and northbound SR 3 (US 51) from Fite Road to Woodstock Boulevard, for bridge improvements

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-4 (US-78): Monday, October 3 through Friday, October 7, 7:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be a temporary lane closure southbound SR 4 (US 78) from 300’ north of intersection of SR 4 (US 78) and SR 175 (East Shelby Drive) to East Holmes Road for soil borings.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from

SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project. Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH. As of May 13, 2015, Egypt-Central Road and Momosa Road has been CLOSED to thru traffic until October 2016. Beginning Tuesday, October 11 through Tuesday October 18 (excluding Sunday), 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.:  There will be temporary lane closures to move barrier rail.  Traffic control will be handled with a flagman.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-57 (US-72): Tuesday, October 18, 10:00 p. m.-2:00 a. m.  SR 57 (US 72) from intersection of SR 175 to the  intersection of New Market St. the outside westbound lane of SR 57 will be closed for the coring of SR 57. 

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385: Bridge repair over Gulf Stream Road, the CSXT R/R & US-70 (SR 1)

Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH. Exit from SR 385 northbound to SR 1 (Hwy 70) is closed until approximately October, 31, 2016.

Restrictions: Saturday, June 18 through Wednesday, November 30, there is an 11’ width restriction at log mile 8.98 to 9.23.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail Repair

Wednesday, October 12 through Wednesday, October 19, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m. (excluding Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday nights): There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Benton County, east & westbound (MM 126.00 to MM 134.90), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Decatur County, east & westbound (MM 120.00 to MM 126.00), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Henderson County, east & westbound (MM 95.16 to MM 119.78), one lane will remain open.

Sunday, October 16 through Thursday, October 20, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m. (excluding Friday & Saturday nights): There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Shelby County, east & westbound (MM 1.0 to MM 32.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-240, Shelby County, east & westbound, southbound & northbound (MM 1.0 to MM 30.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-55, Shelby County, north & southbound (MM 1.0 to MM 12.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-176, Shelby County, southbound (MM 2.0 to MM 5.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-300, Shelby County, east & westbound (MM 0.0 to MM 2.50), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-385, Shelby County, north & southbound, eastbound & westbound (MM 2.0 to MM 49.0), one lane will remain open.

TDOT REGION 4 Retracing of Pavement Marking with Spray Thermo Plastic

Tuesday, October 18, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be a rolling roadblock for spray thermoplastic retracing of lane lines. In case of rain, the alternate date will be October 19.

  • SR-78, Dyer County, north & southbound LM 1.64 (SR 3) to LM 2.76 (begin 2 lane).

TDOT REGION 4 On-Call Concrete Pavement Repair

Wednesday, October 19 through Wednesday, October 26, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations in Shelby County for concrete pavement repair.  Weather Permitting.

  • SR-300 Ramp to U.S. 51 northbound.  Sawing of Concrete will be performed during the week nights with Concrete Removal and Pouring during Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday day and night time closures for the weekend.  This work will also cover repairs for I-40 east and westbound from MM 2.40 to MM 5.00 as needed to be repaired after the ramps work is completed.

Weekday work schedule beginning Monday through Friday Nights. 8:00 p. m- 6:00 a. m.

Then weekend schedule at 6:00 a. m. Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23 during the day and night for pouring  and curing of concrete.

Weekend time of closure will be from 6:00 a. m. through the weekend until Monday October 24, 6:00 a. m.

Then Monday night work again for sawing from 8:00 p. m. to 6:00 a.m. through Wednesday Night.

TDOT MAINTENANCE:

Wednesday, October 12 through Wednesday, October 19, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.  Weather Permitting.

TIPTON COUNTY, SR-3: Wednesday, May 11 through Sunday, October 31: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Shelby County line log mile 0.00 to Woodlawn Avenue log mile 9.60.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-22: Bridge Repair project on SR 22 at the Old Salem Road and Terrell Road will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Speed limit has been reduced to 60 MPH.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-43: Concrete repair work will cause the SR 43E “On” ramp to be partially CLOSED between mm 14.5 and 15.0.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-124: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, Stafford Store Road log mile 6.36 to the Carroll county line log mile 15.77
