CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424: Construction of a concrete bulb-tee beam bridge on SR 424 over Roan Creek will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

DYER COUNTY, I-155:              
Wednesday, October 19 through Wednesday, October 26: There will be temporary lane closures east and westbound for bridge repairs.  Speed limit is reduced to 60 MPH.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64); Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the 5 lane section to near Tomlin Road.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-43 (US-45E): Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from north of Cades/Atwood Road to the Weakley County line including bridge deck repair.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-77: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Dyer County line to SR-5 (US-45W).

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-185: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from US 45W (SR 5) to the 90 degree turn.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-100: Bridge Repair project on SR 100 over overflow at log mile 7.58​
Tuesday, May 31 through May 31, 2017: There will be lane closures in both directions on SR 100, for duration of the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.  Watch for flagmen.
Restrictions: On Tuesday, June 14, 2016, a signal system was put into place. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ lane restriction.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64): A widening project on SR 15 from Firetower Road to west of Bigbee Branch. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR 15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY-Bridge over I-40 at Hawkins Lane: Bridge Repair project over I-40 at Hawkins Lane log mile 0.47 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.​
Restrictions: Beginning Thursday, October 20 through Wednesday, May 31, 2017, a signal system will be utilized. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 11’3” lane restriction.

HAYWOOD COUNTY-Bridge over I-40 at SR-19 (Exit 60): Bridge Repair project at log mile 16.62 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Restrictions: On Tuesday, July 5 through Wednesday, May 31, 2017: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ 3” lane restriction.

Friday, October 21, 8:00 p. m. through Monday, October 23, 6:00 a. m.: There will be temporary intermittent lane closures on I-40 east and westbound, inside or outside lane, for full depth bridge repair on Mercer Road SR-19 overhead bridge at Exit 60.

Monday, October 24 through Thursday, October 27, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m: There will be temporary intermittent lane closures on I-40 east and westbound, inside or outside lane, for full depth bridge repair on Mercer Road SR-19 overhead bridge at Exit 60.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-54: Safety Improvements: Temporary one-lane closures in both directions from Smith Road to the Kentucky State Line.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-140: Bridge Repair project on SR 140 over Mill Creek will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Restrictions:  Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 10’ lane restriction.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-218: Grading, drainage, construction of I-beam bridge and paving 2.6 miles on SR 218 from SR 69 northwest of Paris to US-641 (SR 54). On Friday May 8, 2015, Iron Banks Road was closed to thru traffic until approximately October 31, 2016.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-21: Bridge Repair project on SR 21 over Reelfoot Spillway will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.​
Restrictions: On Tuesday, July 19, through Wednesday, November 30, a signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one 9’ 9” lane in each direction.

Lake County, SR-21:  The construction of a concrete I-Beam bridge on SR 21 over Branch Creek (L.M. 1.20), including grading, drainage, and paving.  Beginning Monday September 12, 2016, SR 21 was closed to thru traffic until approximately September 30, 2017. Detour route posted.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-3: Friday July 29 through Friday, October 28: Intersection improvement at Industrial Drive. Northbound outside lane will be closed. A taper using barrier rail will begin at log mile 11.00 and extend to the intersection at Industrial Drive log mile 11.35. Speed limit has been reduced to 45MPH.​
Restrictions: This will leave the inside northbound lane open with a 12’ lane restriction.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-18: Construction of a concrete box bridge on SR 18 over Meridian Creek will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. A temporary signal will be utilized.​
Restrictions: Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ lane restriction.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-186 north of I-40 to south of Channing Way Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from just North of I-40 (LM 3.35) to South of Channing Way (LM 4.44). At least one lane will remain open at all times.

Friday, October 21, 8:00 p. m. through Monday, October 24, 6:00 a. m.: The ramp from I-40 westbound to northbound SR-186 (Exit 80B) and the ramp from southbound SR-186 to westbound I-40 will be closed for epoxy overlay on the bridges over Vann Drive.  Only one (1) ramp will be closed at any given time.  THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ lane restriction.
Beginning Monday October 24, through Wednesday, May 31, 2017 Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with an 10’ lane restriction.

MCNAIRY COUNTY, SR-15: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from US 64 (SR 15) from the end of the 4 lane section log mile 22.79 to the Hardin County Line log mile 26.06.N

MCNAIRY COUNTY. SR-117: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from SR 142 to US 64 (SR 15).

MCNAIRY COUNTY, SR-117: Bridge Repair project on SR 117 over Snake Creek.
Tuesday, May 31 through May 31, 2017: There will be lane closures in both directions on SR 117 Beginning Tuesday, June 14, a signal system will be utilized. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.  Watch for flagmen.
Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, SR-3 US-51): Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Walker Tanner Road to SR 431.

OBION COUNTY, SR-215 (US-45E): Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from (US-45E) SR 43 to the Kentucky State line, including bridge deck repair.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing on from west of Sycamore View (L.M. 15.54) to west of Davies Plantation Road (LM-22.98)
Saturday, October 22, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.: Appling Road to I-40 West ramp shoulders will be CLOSED for shoulder gravel placement.

  • Saturday, October 22 through Sunday, October 23, 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.: I-40 east and westbound will have INTERMITTENT CLOSURES of ramps for touchup work and final sealing. *Closures should last less than 45 minutes at each ramp to complete work.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Canada Road
Wednesday, October 19 through Wednesday, October 26: I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH. There are lane shifts east and westbound on I-40. Beginning December 5, 2014, there are transitions south and northbound on Canada Road.

 *On Wednesday, October 12 at 9:00 p. m. the Canada Road to I-40 east ramp will be CLOSED through December 2016

  • Thursday, October 20, 8:00 p. m.–6:00 a. m.: There will be a temporary outside lane closure on I-40 east for the purpose of moving barrier rail. 

* Friday, October 21 will serve as backup date.

SHELBY COUNTY -I-40 over Mississippi River Bridge
Wednesday, October 19, 8:00 p. m.-10:00 p. m.: There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 eastbound over the Mississippi River Bridge to temporarily install a light fixture.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements:
Sam Cooper EB: The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard eastbound is CLOSED, beginning east of Perkins Road to the I-40/I-240 interchange.
Sam Cooper WB: The right lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard westbound is CLOSED, beginning east of the I-40/I-240 interchange. (Two left lanes are open)
I-240: There are inside shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 between Walnut Grove and I-40 interchange. One lane of southbound I-240 is also CLOSED in this same section.
I-40 WB: 3 lanes will remain open for bridge work over the Wolf River Bridge. (1 lane Sam Cooper, 1 lane I-240W, 1 lane I-40W/new flyover)
I-40 EB: 3 lanes will remain open for bridge work over the Wolf River Bridge.(1 lane I-240E to I-40E, 1 lane I-40E (new flyover) 1 lane Sam Cooper)
I-240 EB ramp has 1 lane open.
I-240 EB to I-40 WB has the left lane closed.
Summer Ave. Exit:  The Summer Ave. exit from I-40 WB will remain closed until completion of Wolf River Bridge.  Motorist must exit off I-40 WB at Exit 12 (Sycamore View) and follow detour to Summer Ave.
Covington Pike is one lane in each direction at the I-40 Interchange.
Summer Avenue: The outside eastbound lane will be CLOSED.

Friday, October 21 from 9:00 a. m.–3:00 p. m.:
CLOSE
the outside deceleration lane of I-240 west beginning at the Summer Ave. overpass extending to the Sam Cooper overpass to allow for overhead sign construction activities.  The westbound Sam Cooper Blvd. exit (Exit 12B) will remain OPEN.

* Saturday, October 22, Monday, October 24 and Tuesday, October 25 each day from 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m. will serve as backup dates.

Wednesday, October 19, 8:00 p. m.–6:00 a. m.: CLOSE the outside lane of I-40 West beginning at the Summer Ave. overpass extending to north of the Covington Pike Interchange (LM-9.2) to allow for asphalt paving activities.  The westbound Sam Cooper Blvd. exit (Exit 12B) will remain open.

The following ramps will be closed during this work and detours will be posted:

  • Summer Ave. to I-40 westbound (Detour to White Station/Stratford to Covington Pike)
  • I-40 westbound to Covington Pike (Detour to Jackson Ave.)
  • Covington Pike to I-40 westbound (Detour to Stratford to Summer Ave.) This ramp will not be closed until the work is completed at the Summer Ave. to I-40 west ramp and the ramp reopened.

* Thursday, October 20 and Friday, October 21, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m. will serve as backup dates.

Thursday, October 20 through Tuesday, October 25, 8:00 p. m.–6:00 a. m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-40 East beginning north of the Covington Pike Interchange (LM-9.2) extending to south of the I-40/I-240 Interchange (LM-12.2) to allow for asphalt paving activities.

Thursday Night: CLOSE the two (2) outside lanes
The following ramps will be closed during this work and detours will be posted:

  • Covington Pike to I-40 eastbound (Detour to I-40 westbound to Jackson Ave.)
  • I-40 eastbound to White Station (Detour to Walnut Grove)
  • White Station to I-240 westbound (Detour to Covington Pike to Jackson Ave.)
  • I-240 westbound to Sam Cooper Blvd. (Detour to Walnut Grove)

Friday Night: CLOSE the two (2) outside lanes

  • I-40 eastbound to Covington Pike (Detour to Walnut Grove)
  • Covington Pike to I-40 eastbound (Detour to I-40 westbound to Jackson Ave.)

  • White Station to I-240 westbound (Detour to Covington Pike to Jackson Ave.)

  • I-40 eastbound flyover (Nashville exit, Exit 12C) (Detour to Walnut Grove)

Monday Night: CLOSE the two (2) inside lanes

Sunday, October 23 through Friday, October 28, each night from 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-240 eastbound/I-40 westbound beginning north of the Walnut Grove Rd. Interchange (LM-13.2) extending to north of the Covington Pike Interchange (LM-9.2) to allow for permanent striping and installation of snowplowable markers. *Weather Permitting.

Note: Rolling roadblocks will be utilized to INTERMITTENTLY close sections of the interstate including ramps for crews to safely complete final pavement markings. Detours will be posted.

* Sunday, October 30 through Friday, November 4 from 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m. will serve as backup dates.

Saturday, October 22, 6AM – 6PM: CLOSE the inside lanes of I-40 west and eastbound beginning at the Sycamore View Rd. Interchange extending to the Wolf River Bridge to allow for removal of portable barrier rail along the median.

* Sunday, October 23 and Saturday, October 29, 6:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m. will serve as backup dates.

Monday, October 24, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-40 eastbound beginning at the Wolf River Bridge extending to the Sycamore View Rd. Interchange to allow for removal of portable barrier rail and lane realignment.

INTERMITTENT lane closures of all interstate routes within the I-40/I-240 interchange and Sam Cooper Blvd., for the purpose of milling and/or paving, weekdays from 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m. and weekends from Friday 8:00 p. m. to Monday 6:00 a. m.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-3: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Shelby County line to Woodlawn Avenue

Monday, October 17 through Friday, October 21, 7:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.:  There will be a temporary lane closure south and northbound SR 3 (US 51) from Fite Road to Woodstock Boulevard, for bridge improvements.

Monday, October 24 through Friday, October 31, 7:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.:  There will be a temporary lane closure south and northbound SR 3 (US 51) from Fite Road to Woodstock Boulevard, for bridge improvements.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project. Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH. As of May 13, 2015, Egypt-Central Road and Momosa Road have been CLOSED to thru traffic until October 2016.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-57 (US-72):
Tuesday, October 18, 10:00 p. m.-2:00 a. m.  SR 57 (US 72) from intersection of SR 175 to intersection of New Market St. the outside westbound lane of SR 57 needs to be closed to allow for the coring of SR 57

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385: Bridge repair over Gulf Stream Road, the CSXT R/R & US-70 (SR 1) Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH. Exit from SR 385 northbound to SR 1 (Hwy 70) is closed until approximately October, 31, 2016.

Restrictions: Saturday, June 18 through Wednesday, November 30, there is an 11’ width restriction at log mile 8.98 to 9.23.

Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23, 5:00 a .m. - 6:00 p. m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-40 eastbound for milling and paving operations.  CLOSE the ramp from Watkins to I-40 eastbound. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY I-240
Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23, 6:00 a. m.-7:00 p. m.: There will be an outside lane closure between Poplar and Park on I-240 westbound to inspect bridge footing.  Weather Permitting.

Saturday, October 21, 9:30 a. m.–11:30a. m.: CLOSE one lane on East Moreland Ave. on the overpass at I-240 (LM–29.00) to allow for a bridge deck survey.  One lane will remain open at all times.  Weather Permitting.

Saturday, October 22, 6:00 a. m. – 12:00 p. m.: CLOSE one lane of I-55 between Parkway and McLemore MM 10.2 for bridge repair work.  One lane will remain open at all times.  Weather Permitting.

Sunday, October 23 through Thursday, October 27, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Shelby County, east & westbound (MM 1.0 to MM 32.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-240, Shelby County, east & westbound, southbound & northbound (MM 1.0 to MM 30.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-55, Shelby County, north & southbound (MM 1.0 to MM 12.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-385, Shelby County, north & southbound, eastbound & westbound (MM 2.0 to MM 49.0), one lane will remain open.

TDOT REGION 4 Retracing of Pavement Marking with Spray Thermo Plastic
Monday, October 24 and Tuesday, October 25, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be a rolling roadblock for spray thermoplastic retracing of lane lines. In case of rain, the alternate date will be October 26.

  • SR-78, Dyer County, north & southbound LM 1.64 (SR 3) to LM 2.76 (begin 2 lane).

TIPTON COUNTY, SR-3: Wednesday, May 11 through Sunday, October 31: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Shelby County line to Woodlawn Avenue.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-22: Bridge Repair project on SR 22 at the Old Salem Road and Terrell Road will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Speed limit has been reduced to 60 MPH.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-43: Concrete repair work will cause the SR 43E “On” ramp to be partially CLOSED.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-124: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, Stafford Store Road to the Carroll county line.
