Canada Road to I-40 East Ramp Closed

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Tennessee Department of Transportation contract crews will close the Canada Road to I-40 east ramp in order to safely construct the new entrance ramp. The closure is as follows:

  • Beginning Wednesday, October 12 (after rush hour, approximately 9:00 p.m.) The ramp from Canada Road to enter I-40 east will be closed for approximately three months. A detour route will be posted. Motorists should head south on Canada Road, east on US 64, north on SR 385 and proceed to I-40 east.

The work is part of a $28.2 million project to construct a new interchange at I-40 and Canada Road in Shelby County.  The estimated completion date for this project is May 31, 2017.
