There will be no temporary interstate or state route closures permitted between Noon on Wednesday, November 23 through 6AM Monday, November 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424: Construction of a concrete bulb-tee beam bridge on SR 424 over Roan Creek will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64); Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the 5 lane section to near Tomlin Road.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64); Bridge Repair project on SR 15 over Howell Creek will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily.

FAYETTE/SHELBY COUNTIES, SR-76, SR-194, SR-196, SR-175, SR-177 & SR-57:​ Monday, November 21 through Wednesday, November 23: The following railroad crossings will be closed for upcoming tie replacement project.

  • SR-76 at Moscow
  • SR-194 at Rossville
  • SR-196 at Piperton
  • SR-175 at Collierville
  • SR-177 at West Street
  • SR-57 (US 72) at Poplar Avenue

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-77: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Dyer County line to SR-5 (US-45W).

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-185: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from US 45W (SR 5) to the 90 degree turn.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-100: Bridge Repair project on SR 100 over overflow at log mile 7.58​ Tuesday, May 31 through May 31, 2017: There will be lane closures in both directions on SR 100, for duration of the project.  Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.  Watch for flagmen.
Restrictions: On Tuesday, June 14, 2016, a signal system was put into place. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ lane restriction.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64): A widening project on SR 15 from Firetower Road to west of Bigbee Branch. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR 15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY-Bridge over I-40 at Hawkins Lane: Bridge Repair project over I-40 at Hawkins Lane log mile 0.47 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Restrictions: Beginning Thursday, October 20 through Wednesday, May 31, 2017, a signal system will be utilized. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’3” lane restriction.

HAYWOOD COUNTY-Bridge over I-40 at SR-19 (Exit 60): Bridge Repair project at log mile 16.62 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Restrictions: On Tuesday, July 5 through Wednesday, May 31, 2017: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ 3” lane restriction.

Monday, November 14 through Thursday, November 17, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be temporary intermittent lane closures for I-40 east and westbound, inside or outside lane, for full depth bridge repair on Mercer Road SR 19 overhead bridge at Exit 60.  Weather Permitting

Friday, November 18, through Monday, November 28: There are no scheduled closures.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-140: Bridge Repair project on SR 140 over Mill Creek will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Restrictions:  Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 10’ lane restriction.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-218: Grading, drainage, construction of I-beam bridge and paving 2.6 miles on SR 218 from SR 69 northwest of Paris to US-641 (SR 54).  Wednesday, November 9, 2016 roadway was opened to traffic.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-21: Bridge Repair project on SR 21 over Reelfoot Spillway will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Restrictions: On Tuesday, July 19, through Wednesday, November 30, a signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one 9’ 9” lane in each direction.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-21:  The construction of a concrete I-Beam bridge on SR 21 over Branch Creek LM 1.20, including grading, drainage, and paving.  Beginning Monday September 12, 2016,  SR 21 was closed to thru traffic until approximately September 30, 2017.  Detour route posted.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-3: Intersection improvement at Industrial Drive. Northbound outside lane will be closed. A taper using barrier rail will begin at log mile 11.00 and extend to the intersection at Industrial Drive log mile 11.35. Speed limit has been reduced to 45MPH.
Restrictions: This will leave the inside northbound lane open with a 12’ lane restriction.

Thursday, November 17, the Northbound outside lane will reopen and the Southbound inside lane will be closed. A taper using barrier rail will begin at the intersection at Industrial Drive log mile 11.35 and extend south to log mile 11.00. Speed limit has been reduced to 45MPH.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-18: Construction of a concrete box bridge on SR 18 over Meridian Creek will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. A temporary signal will be utilized.
Restrictions: Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ lane restriction.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-197: Construction of 2 concrete I-beam bridges, grading, drainage and paving. Beginning Friday April 15, 2016 through Sunday, May 31, 2017: There will be lane a closure on State Route 197, just east of Beech Bluff Rd. over branch.
Restrictions: Beginning Monday October 24, through Wednesday, May 31, 2017: Traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction with a 10’ lane restriction.

MCNAIRY COUNTY, SR-117: Bridge Repair project on SR 117 over Snake Creek.​
Beginning Tuesday, June 14, a signal system is being utilized. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.  Watch for flagmen.
Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, SR-3 (US-51): Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Walker Tanner Road to SR 431.

OBION COUNTY, SR-215 (US-45E): Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from (US-45E) SR 43 to the Kentucky State line, including bridge deck repair.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing on from west of Sycamore View (L.M. 15.54) to west of Davies Plantation Road (LM-22.98) Wednesday, November 16 through Wednesday, November 23: There are no scheduled closures.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Canada Road
Wednesday, November 16 through Wednesday, November 23: I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH. There are lane shifts east and westbound on I-40.  Beginning December 5, 2014, there are transitions south and northbound on Canada Road.

*On Wednesday, October 12 at 9:00 p. m. the Canada Road to I-40 east ramp was CLOSED and will remain closed until approximately December 2016.

SHELBY COUNTY – I-40 Paving:
Sunday, November 19, 5:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-40 MM 3.0 westbound for paving operations.  CLOSE the ramp from I-40 westbound at Watkins Street to US-51.  Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements:

Sam Cooper EB: The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard eastbound is CLOSED, beginning east of Perkins Road to the I-40/I-240 interchange.

Sam Cooper WB: The right lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard westbound is CLOSED, beginning east of the I-40/I-240 interchange. (Two left lanes are open)

I-240: There are inside shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 between Walnut Grove and I-40 interchange. One lane of southbound I-240 is also CLOSED in this same section.

I-40 WB: 3 lanes will remain open for bridge work over the Wolf River Bridge.

(1 lane Sam Cooper, 1 lane I-240W, 1 lane I-40W/new flyover)

I-40 EB: 3 lanes will remain open for bridge work over the Wolf River Bridge.

(1 lane I-240E to I-40E, 1 lane I-40E (new flyover) 1 lane Sam Cooper)

I-240 EB ramp has 1 lane open.

I-240 EB to I-40 WB has the left lane closed.

Summer Ave. Exit:  The Summer Ave. exit from I-40 WB will remain closed until completion of Wolf River Bridge.  Motorist must exit off I-40 WB at Exit 12 (Sycamore View) and follow detour to Summer Ave.

Covington Pike is one lane in each direction at the I-40 Interchange.

Summer Avenue: The outside eastbound lane will be CLOSED.

Wednesday, November 16 through Tuesday, November 22, 8:00 p. m.–6:00 a. m.:

INTERMITTENT lane closures of I-240 east and westbound, I-40 east and westbound, and Sam Cooper east and westbound starting at the beginnings of the project extending to the ends of the project to allow for construction activities.  All ramps will be temporarily CLOSED to allow for the work to progress through the area of the ramp.

* Monday, November 28 and Tuesday, November 29, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m. will serve as backup dates.

Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20, 6:00 a. m.–8:00 p. m.:

INTERMITTENT lane closures of I-240 east and westbound, I-40 east and westbound, and Sam Cooper east and westbound starting at the beginnings of the project extending to the ends of the project to allow for construction activities.  All ramps will be temporarily CLOSED to allow for the work to progress through the area of the ramp.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-3: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Shelby County line to Woodlawn Avenue.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-3:
 
Monday, November 7 through Monday, November 21, 7:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.:  There will be a temporary lane closure south and northbound SR 3 (US 51) from Fite Road to Woodstock Boulevard, for bridge improvements.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project. Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH. As of May 13, 2015, Egypt-Central Road and Momosa Road have been CLOSED to thru traffic.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-205:
Beginning Friday, November 18, 8:00 p. m. through Monday, November 21, 6:00 a. m.  SR 205 at the intersection of Church St. LM 22.85 will be closed to install a drainage culvert across the intersection.  Detour route will be posted

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385: Bridge repair over Gulf Stream Road, the CSXT R/R & US-70 (SR 1) Speed limit has been reduced Tuesday, May 31 through Wednesday, November 30, 2016: There will be lane closures north and southbound on the outside lane on SR-385 over Gulf Stream Road LM-8.98 to work on bridge deck and approach slabs.
Restrictions: Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ lane restriction.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385: Bridge repair on SR-385 over I-240 will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily.

TDOT REGION 4 Retracing of pavement markings with spray thermoplastic Thursday, November 17 through Tuesday, November 22, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m. (including Friday, Saturday & Sunday): There will be rolling road blocks on I-40 east & westbound in Carroll, Decatur & Benton Counties, from the Carroll County line MM 119.6 to MM 134.80 the Tennessee River for retracing of lane lines with spray thermoplastic.  Weather Permitting.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail Repair

Wednesday, November 16, through Tuesday, November 22, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m. (excluding Friday & Saturday nights): There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Shelby County, east & westbound (MM 1.0 to MM 32.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-240, Shelby County, east & westbound, south & northbound (MM 1.0 to MM 30.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-55, Shelby County, north & southbound (MM 0.0 to MM 12.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-385, Shelby County, north & southbound, east & westbound (MM 2.0 to MM 49.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-300, Shelby County, north & southbound (MM 0.00 to MM 2.50), one lane will remain open.

TDOT REGION 4 On-Call Concrete Pavement Repair Wednesday, November 16 through Wednesday, November 23: There are no scheduled closures.

TDOT MAINTENANCE: Wednesday, November 16 through Wednesday, November 23, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.  Weather Permitting.

TIPTON COUNTY, SR-3:
May 11 through November 15
: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Shelby County line to Woodlawn Avenue.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-22: Bridge Repair project on SR 22 at the Old Salem Road and Terrell Road will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Speed limit has been reduced to 60 MPH.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-43: Concrete repair work will cause the SR 43E “On” ramp to be partially CLOSED.
