Middle Tennessee Weekly Construction Lane Closures December 8-14, 2016

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of 6 Bridges at I-440/I-65 Interchange over US31 (SR 6, Franklin Pike)

  • From now through May 2017, There will be lane shifts on I-440 and I-65 at the 440/65 junction to perform deck repairs, expansion joint repairs, and approach slab repairs.
  • Saturday, December 10, 5AM-10AM, There will be a ramp closure on I-65 northbound to I-440 westbound and I-65 southbound to I-440 eastbound for plate installation. The ramps will not be closed at the same time.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Relensing of snowplowable pavement markers on I-24

  • Thursday December 8 through Wednesday December 14, 8PM-6AM, There will be mobile operations on I-24 in Davidson county to replace snowplowable marker lenses from at MM 46-47.

                               

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Relensing of snowplowable pavement markers on SR-386 (Vietnam Veterans Blvd)

  • Thursday, December 8 through Wednesday December 14, 8PM-6AM, There will be mobile operations at various locations in Davidson County to replace snowplowable marker lenses from MM 0-2 in SR 386.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, ITS Expansion on I-65

  • Nightly, 9PM-6AM (excluding weekends), There will be lane closures on I-65 northbound and one left lane closure on I-65 southbound at MM 97 (just south of Vietnam Veterans Blvd) for sign installation. There will also be a right lane closure on I-65 southbound MM 97.6 to install structure and sign.  At least one lane will remain open at all times.

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

  • From now through December 2016, SR 10 has been reduced to one lane for construction activities. Temporary signals control traffic flow. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.  

 

MAURY COUNTY, Intersection Improvement at the intersection of SR 50 and SR 245

  • Daily through January 2017, There will be lane closures on SR 245 at the intersection of SR 50 for intersection improvements.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Relensing of snowplowable pavement markers on I-24

  • Monday, December 5 through Wednesday December 7, 8PM-6AM, There will be mobile operations at various locations in Rutherford County to replace snowplowable marker lenses from MM 63-74.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Relensing of snowplowable pavement markers on I-840

  • Thursday December 8 through Wednesday December 14, 8PM-6AM, There will be mobile operations at various locations in Rutherford County to replace snowplowable marker lenses from MM 55-65.

 

SMITH COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 80 over Peyton Creek

  • From now through January 2017, SR 80 will be reduced to one lane at the bridges over Peyton Creek (LM 5.75 and LM 7.00) near Sawmill Lane for bridge repair work. Temporary traffic signals will be in place.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, ITS Expansion on I-65

  • Nightly, 9PM-6AM (excluding weekends), There will be a lane closure on I-65 at MM 101 in both directions to install guardrail.  One lane will remain open. 

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Miscellaneous safety improvements on SR 109 at the intersection of Old SR 109

  • Nightly, 8PM-6AM (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 109 for construction operations. At least one lane will remain open.
  • Friday, December 9 through Wednesday, December 14, 8PM-5AM, There will be an intersection crossing closure on Old SR 109 and Scotty Parker Road for safety improvements. Left turns on both Old SR 109 & Scotty Parker Road will not be accessible. One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open.                     

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, On-call sign installation on I-840

  • Thursday December 8 and Friday December 9, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-840 westbound for sign shifting from MM 9 to 15. At least one lane will remain open.

WILSON COUNTY

Friday, December 9, 9AM-1PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 26 on the bridge over Sinking Creek to obtain core samples of the bridge deck. One lane will remain open.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY

LaVergne PD will have a rolling road block on December 12 and 14 between 1-4 PM on I-24 for nearby construction activities.

 

WILSON COUNTY

  • Saturday, December 10, 10AM-1PM, There will be road closure on SR 171 (Mount Juliet Road) from Mt. Juliet Christian Academy to Charlie Daniel Parkway for the Mt. Juliet Christmas Parade.  There will also be a northbound lane closure on SR 171 (Mount Juliet Road) from Mount Juliet Christian Academy to Lebanon Road for half marathon.
  • Saturday, December 10, 10:45AM-12PM, There will be an eastbound lane and shoulder closure on SR 24 from Mt. Juliet Road to Curd Road for a half marathon. One lane will remain open eastbound. All lanes westbound will remain open.
