KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Transportation has reopened Interstate 75 South in Campbell County following a rockslide that shutdown the interstate in both directions near mile marker 142 on February 26.

I-75 North remains closed for the removal of the slide debris, stabilization of the existing slope, and repairs to the interstate. One northbound lane is scheduled to open on or before March 24, 2016, as work allows. The entire repair project is scheduled to be completed on or before April 15, 2016.

Local traffic is allowed to use Exit 141 (Huntsville/Oneida) on I-75 North. Message boards are in place to direct motorists in the area.

For all other northbound traffic, previously established northbound detours are still in place. Drivers are advised to plan ahead and seek alternate routes.

I-75 North Motorist Detour (standard vehicles)

Motorists traveling I-75 North can take Exit 134 (Caryville/Jacksboro/LaFollette). Follow US 25W north to LaFollette, continuing to Jellico, and then re-enter I-75 North.
