DYER COUNTY, I-155: Bridge Repair project on I-155 over the Mississippi River

Thursday, July 23, 2015 through Wednesday, August 31, 2016: There will be lane closures eastbound and westbound on I-155 over the Mississippi River Bridge, for duration of the project. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 14’ 10.5” lane restriction. Speed limit has been reduced to 60 MPH.

FAYETTE and HAYWOOD COUNTY, SR-222: A grading project on State Route 222 from north of I-40 to south of Camp Ground Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-77: Thursday, March 17 & Friday, March 18, 7:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.: There will be lane closure on State Route 77 to perform pipe line casing survey.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-89: Monday March, 14 through Friday, March 18: The westbound lanes will be CLOSED near Kenton from the Gibson/Obion County line to US 45 for placement of sewer line. Detour route will be posted.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-189: Thursday, March 17 & Friday, March 18, 7:00 a. m.-5:00 p. m.: There will be lane closure on State Route 189 (Old Highway 20) to perform pipe line casing survey.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64): A widening project on State Route 15 from Firetower Road to west of Bigbee Branch. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-22: There will be temporary lane closures northbound on State Route 22 between mile marker 6.05 and 6.50 for guardrail repair.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-57: There will be temporary lane closures at various locations on State Route 57 in Counce to bore multiple crossing in preparation of crossing signal installations

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on State Route 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR-15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY, SR-179: Monday, March 21, 8:30 a. m. through Tuesday, March 22, 11:00 p. m.: The railroad crossing at State Route 79 at log mile 4.57 in Stanton will be CLOSED for repairs.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-140: Bridge Repair project on State Route 140 over Mill Creek at log mile 23.03 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 10’ lane restriction.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-218: Grading, drainage, construction of I-beam bridge and paving 2.6 miles on State Route 218 from State Route 69 northwest of Paris to US-641 (State Route 54). On Friday May 8, 2015, Iron Banks Road was closed to thru traffic until approximately October 31, 2016.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-21: Bridge Repair project on State Route 21 over Reelfoot Spillway at log mile 7.61 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-5: Monday, February 29 through Sunday, May 29, 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.:  There will be possible lane closures northbound (right lane) and southbound (right lane) on State Route 5 near the railroad bridge at Three Way to build a gas line. Two lanes will remain open in both directions.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 repair of bridge over the Mississippi River Wednesday, March 16 through Wednesday, March 23: There are no scheduled closures.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 over the Mississippi River Thursday, March 17, 8:30 a. m.-4:30 p. m.: The outside lane of I-40 Eastbound over the Mississippi River bridge will be closed in order to inspect and repair lights on the bridge.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Canada Road Wednesday, March 9 through Wednesday, March 16: I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.  There are lane shifts eastbound and westbound on I-40. Beginning December 05, 2014, there are transitions southbound and northbound on Canada Road.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing on from west of Sycamore View (L.M. 15.54) to west of Davies Plantation Road (LM-22.98)

Sunday, March 20 through Wednesday, March 23, 8:00 p. m.-5:00 a. m.: There will be nightly closures of the outside 2 lanes eastbound on I-40 from west of Sycamore View log mile 15.54 to west of Davies Plantation (LM-22.98).

*Sunday, March 27 through Wednesday March 30 will serve as backup dates.

Monday, March 28 through Thursday, March 31, 8:00 p. m.-5:00 a. m.:: There will be nightly closures of the inside 2 lanes eastbound on I-40 from west of Sycamore View log mile 15.54 to west of Davies Plantation (LM-22.98).

*Sunday, April 03 through Thursday, April 07 will serve as backup dates.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 westbound MM 2.2-2.4

Thursday, March 17 & Friday, March 18, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.: There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 westbound between MM 2.2 and 2.4 for assessment of settlement damage and possible coring. Two lanes will be closed, at least one lane will remain open.

Wednesday, March 16 through Wednesday, March 23: There are no scheduled closures.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements:

Sam Cooper EB: The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound is CLOSED, beginning east of Perkins Road to the I-40/I-240 interchange.

Sam Cooper WB: The right lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Westbound is CLOSED, beginning east of the I-40/I-240 interchange. (Two left lanes are open)

I-240: There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 between Walnut Grove and I-40 interchange. One lane of northbound I-240 is also CLOSED in this same section.

I-40 WB: 3 lanes will remain open for bridge work over the Wolf River Bridge.

(1 lane Sam Cooper, 1 lane I-240W, 1 lane I-40W/new flyover)

I-40 EB: 3 lanes will remain open for bridge work over the Wolf River Bridge.

(1 lane I-240E to I-40E, 1 lane I-40E (new flyover) 1 lane Sam Cooper

I-240 EB ramp has 1 lane open.

I-240 EB to I-40 WB has the left lane closed.

Summer Ave. Exit:  The Summer Ave. exit from I-40 WB will remain closed until completion of Wolf River Bridge.  Motorist must exit off I-40 WB at Exit 12 (Sycamore View) and follow detour to Summer Ave.

Covington Pike is one lane in each direction at the I-40 Interchange.

     Monday Night, March 21, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.

INTERMITTENT lane closures on westbound I-40, the westbound I-240 flyover (Exit 10A from I-40W), and westbound Sam Cooper Blvd. to allow for the relocation of westbound I-40, the westbound I-240 exit (Exit 10A from I-40W), and westbound Sam Cooper Blvd. traffic onto the new bridge over the Wolf River.

*Tuesday Night, March 22 and Wednesday Night, March 23 will serve as backup dates.

CLOSE Exit 12A (Summer Ave. exit) from northbound I-240 for the duration of the project to allow for construction activities.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from west of Kentucky Street to State Route 4. The contractor is working on bike lane item.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-4: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from US-51 (State Route 3) to US-70 (State Route 1). The contractor is working on bike lane item.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14: Bridge Repair on State Route 14 over overflows log mile 26.28, 26.58 & 26.74, Loosahatchie River log mile 26.90 and overflow log mile 27.25 will result in lane shifts every day. Beginning Monday, February 22, 9:00 a. m. until Saturday, April 30, there will be a temporary signal utilized with a 11’ 6” width restriction at log mile 26.74.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on State Route 14 for a widening project from State Route 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. April 27, 2015 through May 11, 2016, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a. m. there will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project. Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH. As of May 13, 2015, Egypt-Central Road and Momosa Road have been CLOSED to thru traffic until June 2016.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 (US-72): Construction on State Route 86 (US-72) for a widening project north of Quinn Road to State Route 57 (Poplar Avenue) in Collierville. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project to completed punch list items.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-175: Grade, drain, and pave on State Route 175 (Byhalia Road) from south of Shelby Post Road to south of State Route 385 will cause possible lane closure.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-175: Friday, March 18, 6:00 p. m. through Sunday, March 20, 10:00 p. m.: The railroad crossing at State Route 175 (Shelby Drive) and Tuggle will be CLOSED for repairs.

TDOT REGION 4 Retracing of Pavement Marking with Spraythermo Wednesday, March 16 through Wednesday, March 23: There are no scheduled closures.

Wednesday, March 16 through Thursday, March 24, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail. There will be 2 crews working. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Shelby County, eastbound & westbound (MM 1.0 to MM 32.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-240, Shelby County, eastbound & westbound, southbound & northbound (MM 2.0 to MM 30.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-55, Shelby County, northbound & southbound (MM 1.0 to MM 12.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-385, Shelby County, northbound & southbound, eastbound & westbound (MM 5.0 to MM 49.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-1 (Hwy 70), Shelby County, ramp from SR-1 to SR-385 (MM 34.6), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-186, Madison County, westbound Ramp from 45 Bypass to I-40 westbound (MM 3.80), at one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Madison County, eastbound & westbound (MM 67.19 to MM 95.14), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Henderson County, eastbound & westbound (MM 95.14 to MM 119.78), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Decatur County, eastbound & westbound (MM 120.00 to MM 126.12), one lane will remain open.

TDOT MAINTENANCE: Wednesday, March 16, through Wednesday, March 23, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis. Weather Permitting.

Monday, March 21 & Tuesday, March 22, 9:00 a. m.-4:30 p. m.: There will be temporary lane closures on I-55 southbound right lane mile marker 3.30 to repair of washout at trailing end of bridge at bridge attachment guardrail.

Wednesday, March 23 & Thursday, March 24, 9:00 a. m.-4:30 p. m: There will be temporary lane closures on I-240 northbound right lane mile marker 27.20 for repair of slope wash.

Saturday, April 02 & Sunday, April 03, 8:30 a. m.-5:30 p. m.: There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 westbound right lane mile marker 21.0-20.0 for repair of slope wash. All closures are Weather Permitting.

TIPTON and HAYWOOD COUNTIES, SR-54: Wednesday, March 16, through Wednesday, March 23: Bridge Repair on State Route 54 over Hatchie River at log mile 9.60. A signal system will be utilized. On July 6, 2015, State Route 54 over Hatchie River, traffic was reduced to one lane with a 11’ 2” lane restriction. Eastbound lane is now closed to traffic for expansion joint repair and installation of steel reinforcements.
