BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

  • From now through June 2016, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

  • From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing On I-65 From The Cumberland River Bridge To Trinity Lane, Including Bridge Deck Repair

  • Friday May 6, 8PM through Monday May 9, 5AM, There will be lane closures of the three right lanes on I-65 northbound at MM 87 (Trinity Lane bridge).  The ramp from Trinity Lane to I-65 northbound will be closed and there will also be temporary lane closures of both directions of Trinity Lane to allow for bridge deck repair demolition and forming work. Two lanes will remain open on I-65 northbound. One lane each direction will remain open on Trinity Lane.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 70 (SR 24) from West of Browns Creek Bridge to Briley Parkway

  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 8PM-5:30AM, There will be alternating lane closures on US 70 (Charlotte) from Browns Creek Bridge to Briley Parkway for milling operations.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Slope Stabilization & Construction of a Graded Solid Rock Buttress On I-65 Northbound

  • Saturday May 7, 3AM-7PM, There will be a right lane closure on I-65 Northbound from the Chadwell Bridge at MM 91.6 to the Old Hickory Blvd. Exit at MM 92 for removing portable barrier rail and installing the permanent concrete barrier wall. 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, On-Call Concrete Repair at Various Locations

  • Wednesday May 4 and Thursday May 5, 8PM–6AM, The ramp from Briley Parkway eastbound to I-65 northbound (Exit 16A)  will be closed to allow for sawing of deteriorated concrete and for sealing cracks. A detour will be in place. 
  • Saturday May 7, 3AM through Monday May 9, 6AM, The ramp from Briley Parkway eastbound to I-65 northbound (Exit 16A) will be closed to allow for replacement of concrete and for sealing cracks. A detour will be in place. 
  • Wednesday May 11, 8PM-6AM, The ramp from Briley Parkway eastbound to I-65 northbound (Exit 16A) will be closed to allow for sawing and sealing joints. A detour will be in place.
  • TENTATIVE The ramp for I-24 westbound to SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd - Exit 40) and the ramp from SR 45 to I-24 eastbound will be shifted/closed to saw deteriorated concrete.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of 6 Bridges at I-440/I-65 Interchange over US31 (SR 6, Franklin Pike)

  • Thursday May 5 through July 2016, There will be lane shifts on ramps from I-440 eastbound to I-65 northbound and I-440 westbound to I-65 southbound to perform deck repairs, expansion joint repairs, and approach slab repairs. Restricted to 12ft lane widths.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Removal and Replacement of HOV Signing and Thermoplastic Markings

  • Friday May 6 at 8PM through Saturday May 7 at 8PM, There will be two left lanes closed on I-65 southbound from Vietnam Veterans to Trinity Lane for waterblasting and removing and installing new HOV skips and HOV diamonds including the snowplowable markers.
  • Monday May 9 through Wednesday May 11, 8PM-5AM, There will be two left lanes closed on I-65 southbound from Vietnam Veterans to Trinity Lane for completing the installation of new HOV skips and HOV diamonds including the snowplowable markers.

DAVIDSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, SmartWay ITS I-65 (North of Nashville) Expansion Project

  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-3PM (Excluding Weekends), There will be a shoulder closure on I-65 in both directions between MM 94 (north of Vietnam Veterans Blvd) and MM110 (north of White House) for proofing and repairing boxes. Also, at Apple Valley Road under I-65 there will be right shoulder closures for proofing and repairing boxes.

HICKMAN AND HUMPHREYS COUNTIES, Interchange Improvements on I-40 at SR 50

  • From now through November 2016, There will be shoulder closures on I-40 in both directions in Humphreys/Hickman County at MM 147.5 to 148.5 in order to extend the I-40 ramps at SR 50.

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 from Goose Creek to SR 52 for storm drain installation.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Construction of a New Interchange on SR 1 at SR 10 (Broad St.) and SR 96

  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR-1 and SR-96 for construction activities. One lane will remain open in each direction. The closure of Broadmor Boulevard will continue this week.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing I-24 from Stones River Bridge (MM 78.5) to East of the Bridge over CSX Railroad (MM 82)

  • Sunday May 8 through Wednesday May 11, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions between Stones River Bridge (MM 78.5) and east of the bridge over CSX Railroad (MM 82) for milling and paving operations.  One lane will remain open in each direction.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Grading, Drainage and Paving on SIA Route Serving Nissan North America

  • From now through August 2016, Singer Road, from North Broad Street to the Nissan North America entrance, will be closed to through traffic.  This closure will remain in place until the project has been completed or until 8/31/16.  Local business access within the project limits will be provided.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11 (excluding Saturday), 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be a possible right lane closure on SR 99 eastbound (New Salem Hwy) at the I-24 eastbound on-ramp to work on the adjustment of the CCTV camera.  One lane will remain open.

SMITH COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 80 over Peyton Creek

  • From now through November 2016, SR 80 will be reduced to one lane at the bridges over Peyton Creek (LM 5.75 and LM 7.00) near Sawmill Lane for bridge repair work. Temporary traffic signals will be in place.

SMITH COUNTY, Bridge Repair on US 70N/SR 24 over Caney Fork River

  • From now through July 2016, The US 70N/SR 24 bridge over the Caney Fork River will be closed for construction. A signed detour is in place.

SUMNER COUNTY, Resurfacing US 231 (SR 376) from Trousdale County Line to SR 6

  • Wednesday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 6AM-6PM (excluding Sunday), There will be lane closures on US 231 (SR 376) in both directions for milling and paving operations. One lane will remain open.

TROUSDALE COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 260 over Little Goose Creek

  • From now through July 2016, SR 260 will be closed at the bridge over Little Goose Creek (LM 5.58) for bridge repair work. Detours will be in place.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road

  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-3PM, Concord Road between Sunset Road and Nolensville Road will be reduced to one lane periodically for construction operations.  Traffic will be flagged at these times.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65, and SR 840

  • Thursday May 5, 8PM-5AM, There will be a left lane closure on I-65 northbound at MM 71.4 (Concord Rd.) to repair the wall damaged in an accident.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, SmartWay ITS I-65 (South of Nashville) Expansion Project

  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-3PM (Excluding Weekends), There will be a shoulder closure on SR 840 in both directions from the MM 28 (US 31) to MM 35 (Cool Springs Road) for bridge conduit installation and pull boxes.
  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-3PM (Excluding Weekends), There will be a shoulder closure on I-65 southbound from MM 76 (between Old Hickory Blvd and Harding Place) through MM 56 (Between SR 840 and Peytonsville Road) to install conduit and pull boxes.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Installation of Signals on US 31 (SR 6) at Miles Johnson Parkway in Spring Hill

  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-3PM (Excluding Weekends), There will be a temporary lane closure on State Route 6/US31 at Miles Johnson Parkway.  Traffic will be affected in the northbound lanes and then the southbound lanes while crews complete work.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 840 to SR 248

  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-3PM (Excluding Saturday), There will be a shoulder closure on northbound ramp from SR-840 to I-65 to drill footings for the overhead sign.
  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 8PM to 5AM, (Excluding Saturday) There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 in both directions between MM 59 (SR 840) and MM 63 (north of SR 248) for paving operations. 
  • Saturday May 7, 7AM-5PM, There will be four rolling road blocks for 10 minutes each on ramp to I-65 southbound, ramp to I-65 northbound, SR-248 and Peytonsville Road to install overhead sign structure spans (one at each location).
  • Saturday May 7, 5AM-9AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 in both directions at exit 61 to remove overhand jacks and tighten bracing on bridge.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Repair of the Bridges on SR 840 over Boston-Theta Road and Sycamore Creek

  • From now through August 31, 2016, There will be lane closures on SR 840 in both directions on the bridges over Boston-Theta Rd (LM 13) to perform bridge repair operations.

Installation of Emergency Reference Marker Signs (Various Counties)

  • Thursday May 5, 2016, 8PM-5AM, There will be left lane closures on I-40 in both directions at various locations between MM 255 (east of SR 141) and MM 267 (SR 96) in Smith County in order to install Emergency Reference Marker Signs.  A minimum of one lane will remain open in each direction. 
  • Saturday May 7, 2016, 8PM-5AM,  There will be left lane closures on I-65 in both directions at various locations between MM 12 and MM 14 (US 64) in Giles County and MM 39 and MM 41 (SR 50) in Marshall County in order to install Emergency Reference Marker Signs.  A minimum of one lane will remain open in each direction. 
  • Sunday May 8, 2016, 8PM-5AM, There will be left lane closures on I-40 in both directions at various locations between MM 179 and MM 192 in Dickson, Williamson and Cheatham counties in order to install Emergency Reference Marker Signs.  A minimum of one lane will remain open in each direction. 
  • Monday May 9, 2016, 8PM-5AM, There will be left lane closures on I-65 in both directions at various locations between MM 97 (SR 174) and MM 110 in Sumner County and MM 120 and MM 122 (KY state line) in Robertson County in order to install Emergency Reference Marker Signs.  A minimum of one lane will remain open in each direction.
  • Tuesday May 10 and Wednesday May 11 will be used as make-up days in the event of cancellation due to weather. 

 

TDOT Maintenance

Davidson County

  • Thursday May 5 through Wednesday May 11, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for sweeping operations.  This will affect the shoulders, ramps, and inside/outside lanes.
  • Tuesday May 10, 8PM–2AM, There will be lane closures on I-40 eastbound from MM 213 (I-24 interchange) for bridge deck repair. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday, May 12, 8PM-5AM, There will be 2 lanes closed on I-65 NB at Wedgewood Ave (MM 81.5) for bridge deck repair.  Two lanes will remain open.
  • Thursday May 4 through Friday May 5, 9AM-3PM, There will be an outside lane and shoulder closure on I-24 in both directions at the Silliman Evans Bridge to conduct asphalt core samples.  Three lanes will remain open at all times in each direction.
  • From now through Saturday May 7, 9AM–3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 24 (Charlotte Pike) from MM 5.62 to MM 6.08 in both directions due to activities including road widening, median installation, and installation of sidewalks. One lane will remain open. Work is part of Overlook at Nashville West Development.
  • Tuesdays through Saturdays from now through June 11, 5AM-6AM, There will be rolling road blocks on I-40 westbound between Jo Johnson Avenue and Clinton Street for blasting purposes. Traffic will also be stopped during this time at the on ramp to I-40 west at George DavBostonis Boulevard/Charlotte Avenue. Eastbound lanes will not be affected.
  • Thursday May 5, Monday May 9,  and Tuesday May 10, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on the I-65 northbound shoulder, beginning 2500 feet south of the intersection of SR-255 (Harding Place) (Exit 78) and continuing north onto the exit ramp for Harding Place to the end of the ramp for survey work. No lanes of traffic will be closed. Southbound traffic will not be affected.   

Giles County

  • Monday May 9 through Tuesday May 10, 8AM-5PM, There will be an inside lane and shoulder closure on I-65 in both directions from MM 3 to MM 5 to pave the newly constructed emergency median opening.  One lane will remain open in each direction.

Humphreys County

  • Thursday May 5, 6PM- Friday May 6, 5AM, SR 231 at MM 0 will be closed to traffic for repair of a drainage culvert paralleling SR 1 beside City Hall in McEwen. Detours will be posted on message boards.

Smith County

  • Monday, May 9, 7PM-5AM, There will be one lane closed on I-40 eastbound at MM 263 for bridge deck repair.  One lane will remain open. 
  • Wednesday, May 11, 7PM-5AM, There will be one lane closed on I-40 westbound at MM 263 for bridge deck repair.  One lane will remain open.

  • From now through Friday May 27, 9AM-3PM, (Excluding Weekends), There will be lane closures on SR-254 (Old Hickory Blvd) near Stone Brook Drive (MM 7 to 9) for NES to replace poles and anchors.
  • From now through Friday May 6, 9AM-3PM, SR 11 lane closure for NES to remove and replace existing power poles between SR-45 (Old Hickory Blvd) and Hunters Lane. 
  • From now through Friday May 6, 9AM-3PM, (Excluding weekends), SR-24 (Lebanon Pike) Lane closures for NES to Replace existing poles and transfer service to new poles. North and south bound lanes around intersection of Danyacrest Drive.
  • From now through Friday May 20, 9AM-3PM, NES needs lane closures to remove and replace multiple utility poles along the south side of SR-255 (Harding Pike) at intersection of Antioch Pike.
  • From now through Friday May 6, 9AM-3PM, (Excluding weekends), There will be lane closures in both directions on SR-254 (OHB) for NES to replace existing poles and transfer service to new poles. From Brentwood Commons Way to East of Oaks Drive.
  • From now through Thursday May 13, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on SR 11 (Dickerson Pike) by at the Evanston Avenue intersection for Metro Water and Sewer to perform water main work.
  • Thursday May 5, 8PM-5AM, There will be a lane closure on SR-1 Memphis-Bristol Hwy (US-70) westbound outside lane for Harpeth Valley Utility District to line existing sewer lines.

Wilson County

  • From now through Wednesday May 11, 9AM-3PM, (Excluding Weekends), and possible night work between 9PM-4AM, There will be lane closure on SR-24 (US-70) Lebanon Pike eastbound in Mt. Juliet, for Piedmont Gas to repair a gas main.
