Groundbreaking Ceremony for Alcoa Highway Set for June 24 in East Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner John Schroer will join state and local officials in Knox County on Friday, June 24, 2016, to break ground on the Alcoa Highway (SR 115/US 129) Improvement Project. The phased project will widen Alcoa Highway from south of Maloney Road to Woodson Drive in Knoxville.

Friday’s event will begin at 2:30 p.m. ET and will last approximately 25 minutes.
