CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424: Construction of a concrete bulb-tee beam bridge on SR 424 over Roan Creek will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

DYER COUNTY, I-155:
Wednesday, September 28 through Wednesday, October 5: There will be temporary lane closures east and westbound for bridge repairs.  Speed limit is reduced to 60 MPH.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64); Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the 5 lane section log mile 6.26 to near Tomlin Road log mile 8.86

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-43 (US-45E): Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from north of Cades/Atwood Road to the Weakley County line including bridge deck repair.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-77: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Dyer County line log mile 0.00 to SR-5 (US-45W) log mile 9.00.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-185: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from US 45W (SR 5) log mile 0.00 to the 90 degree turn log mile 0.49

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-100: Bridge Repair project on SR 100 over overflow at log mile 7.58
Tuesday, May 31 through May 31, 2017: There will be lane closures in both directions on SR 100, for duration of the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.  Watch for flagmen.
Restrictions: On Tuesday, June 14, 2016, a signal system was put into place. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 11’ lane restriction.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64): A widening project on SR 15 from Firetower Road to west of Bigbee Branch. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR 15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY-Bridge over I-40 at Hawkins Lane: Bridge Repair project over I-40 at Hawkins Lane log mile 0.47 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

HAYWOOD COUNTY-Bridge over I-40 at SR-19 (Exit 60): Bridge Repair project at log mile 16.62 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Restrictions: On Tuesday, July 5 through Wednesday, May 31, 2017: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ 3” lane restriction.

  • Monday, September 26, through Thursday, September 29, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be temporary intermittent lane closures for I-40 east and westbound, inside or outside lane, for full depth bridge repair on Mercer Road SR 19 overhead bridge at Exit 60.
  • Friday, September 30, 8:00 p.m. through Monday, October 3, 6:00 a.m.: There will be temporary intermittent lane closures for I-40 east and westbound, inside or outside lane, for full depth bridge repair on Mercer Road SR 19 overhead bridge at Exit 60.

HAYWOOD COUNTY, SR-76: Wednesday, August 3 through Friday, September 30.  Resurfacing work will cause possible lane closures in both directions daily from log mile 9.7 (Near Sunny Hill Rd.) to log mile 12.76 (SR 1 Brownsville Bypass).

HENRY COUNTY, SR-54: Safety Improvements: Temporary one-lane closures in both directions from Smith Road to the Kentucky State Line.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-140: Bridge Repair project on SR 140 over Mill Creek will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Restrictions:  Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 10’ lane restriction.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-218: Grading, drainage, construction of I-beam bridge and paving 2.6 miles on SR 218 from SR 69 northwest of Paris to US-641 (SR 54). On Friday May 8, 2015, Iron Banks Road was closed to thru traffic until approximately October 31, 2016.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-21: Bridge Repair project on SR 21 over Reelfoot Spillway will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Restrictions: On Tuesday, July 19, through Wednesday, November 30, 2016, a signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one 9’ 9” lane in each direction.

Lake County, SR-21:  The construction of a concrete I-Beam bridge on SR 21 over Branch Creek (L.M. 1.20), including grading, drainage, and paving.  Beginning Monday September 12, 2016,
SR 21 was closed to thru traffic until approximately September 30, 2017.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-3: Friday July 29 through Friday, October 28: Intersection improvement at Industrial Drive. Northbound outside lane will be closed. A taper using barrier rail will begin at log mile 11.00 and extend to the intersection at Industrial Drive log mile 11.35. Speed limit has been reduced to 45MPH.
Restrictions: This will leave the inside northbound lane open with a 12’ lane restriction.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-3 Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from New Wilson Road log mile 15.72 to SR 88 ramp log mile 20.18.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-19 Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from near ARP-Central Road log mile 16.00 to near Volunteer Drive log mile 18.99.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-18: Construction of a concrete box bridge on SR 18 over Meridian Creek will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. A temporary signal will be utilized.
Restrictions: Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 11’ lane restriction.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-186 north of I-40 to south of Channing Way Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from just North of I-40 (LM 3.35) to South of Channing Way (LM 4.44). At least one lane will remain open at all times.

  • Wednesday, September 28 & Thursday, September 29, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be temporary lane closures north and southbound from just north of I-40 (LM 3.35) to south of Channing Way (LM 4.44) for epoxy overlay on the bridge over Vann Drive.  One lane will remain open at all times.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.
  • Wednesday, September 28 & Thursday, September 29, 11:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: The ramp from I-40 westbound to northbound SR-186 (Exit 80B) and the ramp from southbound SR 186 to westbound I-40 will be closed for epoxy overlay on the bridges over Vann Drive.  Only one (1) ramp will be closed at any given time.  Weather Permitting.
  • Friday, September 30, 8:00 p. m through Monday, October 3, 6:00 a. m.: There will be temporary lane closures north and southbound from just north of I-40 (LM 3.35) to south of Channing Way (LM 4.44) for epoxy overlay on the bridge over Vann Drive.  One lane will remain open at all times.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-197: Construction of 2 concrete I-beam bridges, grading, drainage and paving. Beginning Friday April 15, 2016 through Wednesday, May 31, 2017: There will be lane a closure on State Route 197, just east of Beech Bluff Rd. over branch.
Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ lane restriction.

MCNAIRY COUNTY, SR-15: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from US 64 (SR 15) from the end of the 4 lane section log mile 22.79 to the Hardin County Line log mile 26.06.N

MCNAIRY COUNTY. SR-117: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from SR 142 to US 64 (SR 15).

MCNAIRY COUNTY, SR-117: Bridge Repair project on SR 117 over Snake Creek.
Tuesday, May 31 through May 31, 2017: There will be lane closures in both directions on SR 117 Beginning Tuesday, June 14, a signal system will be utilized. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.  Watch for flagmen.

OBION COUNTY, SR-215 (US-45E): Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from (US-45E) SR 43 log mile 0.00 to the Kentucky State line log mile 2.07, including bridge deck repair.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing on from west of Sycamore View (L.M. 15.54) to west of Davies Plantation Road (LM-22.98)

  • Wednesday, September 28, 8:00 p. m.-5:00 a. m.: I-40 west to Germantown Parkway “On” and “Off” ramps will utilize rolling road blocks/flagmen for the placement of shoulder gravel. *Each ramp will be opened when operations are complete.
  • Thursday, September 29, 8:00 p. m.-5:00 a. m.: I-40 west to Appling Road “On” and “Off” ramps  will utilize rolling road blocks/flagmen for the placement of shoulder gravel. *Each ramp will be opened when operations are complete.
  • Saturday, October 1, 5:00 a. m., through Sunday, October 2, 12:00 a. m.: I-40 west to South Germantown Road “Off” ramp will be CLOSED for milling and paving of asphalt shoulders.
  • Saturday, October 1, through Sunday, October 2, 7:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m.: I-40 west from Appling Road “On” ramp will be CLOSED for sealing of shoulder joints.  *There will be INTERMITTENT closures of right lane of I-40 west for sealing of joint between mainline I-40 and concrete ramp.
  • Saturday, October 1, 5:00 a. m. through Sunday, October 2, 12:00 a. m.: I-40 west to North Germantown Road “Off” ramp shoulders, I-40 west from Germantown Road “On” ramp shoulders, and I-40 west at Appling Road “Off” ramp shoulders will be CLOSED for paving.  *Only one shoulder will be closed at a time and ramp will be open to traffic.
  • Sunday, October 2, through Tuesday, October 3, 8:00 p. m.-5:00 a. m.: I-40 westbound from LM-15.54 to LM-22.98 will have nightly lane closures for thermoplastic pavement striping.

Friday, October 7, 8:00 p. m. through Monday, October 10, 5:00 a. m.: I-40 westbound from Germantown Parkway “On” ramp, and I-40 westbound to Southbound Germantown Parkway “Off” ramp will be CLOSED for joint sealing.

Wednesday, September 28 through Wednesday, October 5: I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.  There are lane shifts east and westbound on I-40.  Beginning December 5, 2014, there are transitions south and northbound on Canada Road.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 beginning north of SR-385 and extending to north of Walnut Grove Road  Wednesday, September 21 through Wednesday, September 28: There are no scheduled closures.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements:

  • Sam Cooper EB: The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound is CLOSED, beginning east of Perkins Road to the I-40/I-240 interchange.
  • Sam Cooper WB: The right lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Westbound is CLOSED, beginning east of the I-40/I-240 interchange. (Two left lanes are open)
  • I-240: There are inside shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 between Walnut Grove and I-40 interchange. One lane of southbound I-240 is also CLOSED in this same section.
  • I-40 WB: 3 lanes will remain open for bridge work over the Wolf River Bridge.
    • (1 lane Sam Cooper, 1 lane I-240W, 1 lane I-40W/new flyover)
  • I-40 EB: 3 lanes will remain open for bridge work over the Wolf River Bridge.
    • (1 lane I-240E to I-40E, 1 lane I-40E (new flyover) 1 lane Sam Cooper
  • I-240 EB ramp has 1 lane open.
  • I-240 EB to I-40 WB has the left lane closed.
  • Summer Ave. Exit:  The Summer Ave. exit from I-40 WB will remain closed until completion of Wolf River Bridge.  Motorist must exit off I-40 WB at Exit 12 (Sycamore View) and follow detour to Summer Ave.
  • Covington Pike is one lane in each direction at the I-40 Interchange.
  • Summer Avenue – Beginning Wednesday, August 10 at 9:00 a.m. the outside eastbound lane will be closed.

Wednesday, September 28, 8:00 p. m.–6:00 a. m.: CLOSE the inside lanes on east and westbound I-240 beginning at the 40/240 Interchange (LM-12.0) extending to the Walnut Grove Rd. interchange (LM-13.2) to allow for removal of portable barrier rail in the median.
*Thursday, September 29 and Friday, September 30, 8PM-6AM will serve as backup dates.

Thursday, September 29 & Friday, September 30, 8:00 p. m.–6:00 a. m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on westbound I-240 beginning at the 40/240 interchange (LM-12.0) extending to the Walnut Grove Rd. interchange (LM-13.2) to allow for surface paving.

  1. During the closure of the outside lanes, the eastbound Sam Cooper Blvd. ramp to westbound I-240 will be CLOSED.  Ramp detours will be in place.
  2. During the closure of the inside lanes, the flyover from westbound I-40 to westbound I-240 will be CLOSED.  Ramp detours will be in place.

Friday, September 30, 8:00 p. m. through Saturday, October 1, 8:00 p. m.: CLOSE the eastbound Sam Cooper Blvd. merger onto eastbound I-40 and CLOSE the inside lane of eastbound I-40 at the Wolf River Bridge to allow for concrete paving to tie-in to the Wolf River Bridge.  A detour will be in place for the eastbound Sam Cooper Blvd. to eastbound I-40 merger. 
*Friday, October 7, 8:00 p. m.  through Saturday, October 8, 8:00 p. m. will serve as backup dates.

Saturday, October 1, 6:00 a. m. through Sunday, October 2, 8:00 p. m.: CLOSE the outside lane on eastbound I-40 beginning north of the Covington Pike interchange (LM-9.2) extending to south of the Covington Pike interchange (LM-10.4) to allow for grinding, striping, and removal of traffic control devices in order to open the new exit ramp.  During this closure, the eastbound I-40 exit ramp (Exit 10) to Covington Pike will be CLOSED.  A detour will be in place for this ramp closure.
*Sunday, October 2 and Saturday, October 8, 6:00 a. m- 8:00 p. m. will serve as backup dates.

Sunday, October 2, through Tuesday, October 4, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on eastbound I-240 beginning at the Walnut Grove Rd. interchange (LM-13.2) extending to the 40/240 interchange (LM-12.0) to allow for surface asphalt paving.  The eastbound I-240 entrance from Walnut Grove Rd. and the Nashville exit (Exit 12C) will be CLOSED while the paving operation is in the outside lanes.  The eastbound I-240 merger onto westbound I-40 will be CLOSED while the paving operation is in the inside lanes.  A detour for these ramp closures will be in place.
*Wednesday, October 5 and Thursday, October 6, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m. will serve as backup dates.
*Friday, October 7, 8:00 p. m. through Monday, October 10, 6:00 a. m. will also serve as backup weekend.

  • Wednesday, October 5, 9:00 a. m.–3:00 p. m.: CLOSE Sam Cooper Blvd. westbound deceleration lane from westbound I-240 to allow for overhead sign footing construction.  Ramps will remain open during this closure.
  • Friday, October 7, 8:00 p. m. through Monday, October 10, 6:00 a. m.: CLOSE the eastbound I-240 merger onto westbound I-40 at LM-12.0 (Greenline overpass) to allow for bridge overlay construction activities while working on the inside lanes.  CLOSE the Nashville exit (Exit 12C) to eastbound I-40 to allow for bridge overlay construction activities while working on the outside lanes.
  • Saturday, October 8, 6:00 a. m.–8:00 p. m.: CLOSE the northbound Covington Pike entrance ramp to eastbound    I-40 to allow for ramp construction activities.
  • Saturday, October 8, 6:00 a. m.–8:00 p. m: CLOSE the outside lane of westbound I-40 beginning at the Covington Pike Interchange (LM-10.0) extending to LM-9.2 to allow for the removal of barrier rail.
  • INTERMITTENT lane closures of all interstate routes and Sam Cooper Blvd., for the purpose of milling and/or paving, weekdays from 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m. and weekends from Friday, 8:00 p. m. through Monday, 6:00 a. m..  Specific dates and locations will be given when available depending on weather and work progression.

SHELBY COUNTY –I-55 Repairs to ITS Equipment
Wednesday, September 28, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: There will be temporary lane closures, two lanes reduced to one, on I-55 southbound inside lanes between LM-1.0 to LM-0.0 for repairs to ITS equipment.  *Thursday, September 29, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m. will serve as a backup date.  Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-3: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Shelby County line to Woodlawn Avenue

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-4 (US-78):
Monday, October 3 through Friday, October 7, 7:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be a temporary lane closure southbound SR 4 (US 78) from 300’ north of intersection of SR 4 (US 78) and SR 175 (East Shelby Drive) to East Holmes Road for soil borings.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project. Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH. As of May 13, 2015, Egypt-Central Road and Momosa Road has been CLOSED to thru traffic until October 2016.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385: Bridge repair over Gulf Stream Road, the CSXT R/R & US-70 (SR 1)
Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH. Exit from SR 385 northbound to SR 1 (Hwy 70) is closed until approximately October, 31, 2016.
Restrictions: Saturday, June 18 through Wednesday, November 30, there is an 11’ width restriction at log mile 8.98 to 9.23.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail Repair
Wednesday, September 28 through Tuesday, October 4, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Haywood County, east & westbound (MM 43.30 to MM 67.19), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Madison County, east & westbound (MM 67.19 to MM 95.14), one lane will remain open.
  • I-40, Henderson County, east & westbound (MM 95.14 to MM 119.78), one lane will remain open.

  • WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-43: Concrete repair work will cause the SR 43E “On” ramp to be partially CLOSED between mm 14.5 and 15.0.
  • WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-124: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, Stafford Store Road log mile 6.36 to the Carroll county line log mile 15.77
