In observance of the Christmas and New Year's holidays, there will be no lane closures permitted on interstates or state routes beginning 8:00 P. M. on Friday, December 22 through 6:00 A. M. Tuesday, January 2.

BENTON COUNTY, I-40 Truck Climbing Lane

Wednesday, December 20 through Wednesday, December 27: Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone. *Speed limit is reduced to 60 MPH.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 423: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete I-beam bridge on

SR 423 over Clear Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

DECATUR/HARDIN COUNTY, SR-114: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from SR 128 (LM 0.81) to the Tennessee River bridge (LM 3.65). Motorists should watch for flagmen.

DYER COUNTY, SR-3: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from SR 3/SR 211, overhead, to SR 77 ramp. Speed limit has been reduced to

60 MPH.

DYER COUNTY, SR-20: Repair of bridges over North Fork Forked Deer River.

Restrictions: Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction.

*Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

DYER COUNTY, SR-77: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from SR 3 (US-51) to the Gibson County line. Watch for flagmen.

FAYETTE/SHELBY COUNTIES, I-269: Installation of signs on I-269 (redesignated SR-385)

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge and paving on I-40 at the SR 196 (Hickory Withe Road) interchange. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway. Speed limit has been reduced to 60 MPH.

FAYETTE COUNTY, US 70 (US 79, SR-1): A bridge repair project on SR 1 over branch will result in lane closures in both directions daily.

FAYETTE COUNTY- SR-59 over I-40: A bridge repair project on US-70 (SR 79, SR 1) over branch and on SR 59 over I-40.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR 15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

 

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from south of One Stop Drive (LM 8.86) to south of Opel Loop (LM 10.42). Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY, SR-19 (Brownsville Bypass): A widening project on SR 19 from west of Windrow Road to SR 76 south of Brownsville will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY, SR-76: Construction of a concrete bulb tee beam bridge over the Hatchie River–Wednesday, May 3, 2017 SR 76 will CLOSE at log mile 8.98 (approx. 1 mile south of the

I-40/Exit 56 interchange) for removal of the truss bridge. *Local traffic will have access up to the bridge. An interstate detour will be posted at Exit 56 and Exit 52 (Stanton/KoKo Road).

HENRY COUNTY, SR-54: The grading, drainage, construction of bridges, retaining wall and paving on SR 54 from near Rison Street to near Smith Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-78: Construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee bridge on SR 78 over drainage ditch including grading, drainage, and paving will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

Restrictions: Beginning Tuesday, August 1 through November 30, 2018, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 9’ lane restriction.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-186 (US 45 Bypass) and I-40: Interchange improvements on SR 186 (US 45) north and southbound from the I-40 ramps (LM 2.83) to Old Hickory Blvd (LM 3.33) for paving and construction of retaining walls.  Widening of I-40 from just east of Exit 79 to just east of Exit 82.

Weather Permitting.

OBION COUNTY, Future I-69: Grading, drainage, construction of eight bridges on future I-69 from south of US 51 (SR 3) to south of US 45W (SR 5) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 (SR 3) portion of the project. The inside southbound lane on SR 3 is closed to all traffic for installation of barrier rail.

Restrictions: Beginning Tuesday, June 13, SR 3 will have a lane shift in the north and southbound directions. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 11’ 6” lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, SR-21: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from SR 21 to SR 183. Watch for flagmen.

 

OBION COUNTY, SR-21: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from SR 5 (US 45W) to SR 3 (US 51). Watch for flagmen.

OBION COUNTY, SR-184: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from SR 431 to SR 214.

OBION COUNTY, SR-214: Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from SR 21 to SR 184. Watch for flagmen.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Exit 1 to Exit 1A: Bridge repair project will cause possible lane closures on I-40 over the Mississippi River and 5 bridges over Wolf River, various ramps and city streets and railroad.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40:

Thursday, December 21, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-40 eastbound inside lane beginning at MM 2.00-MM 10.90 to allow for pothole repair.  Weather Permitting.

* Friday, December 22, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m. will serve as a backup date.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from

SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project.

On April 21, 2017, Old Covington Pike East access to/from SR 14 was permanently CLOSED.

*Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-175Resurfacing on SR 175 from near Elvis Presley Blvd (LM 4.67) to Swinnea (LM 8.24)

TDOT REGION 4: On-Call Pavement Markings:

Wednesday, December 20 through Wednesday, December 27: There are no scheduled closures.

TDOT MAINTENANCE:

 

Wednesday, December 20 through Friday, December 22, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to repair pavement on an as needed basis.

Thursday, December 21, 8:30 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: There will be temporary closures, in Madison County, both directions on I-40 between MM 67.0 and MM 95.0 for pothole patching.

TDOT District 47 & 48 On-Call Guardrail/Concrete Barrier

Wednesday, December 20 through Wednesday, December 27: There are no scheduled closures.

TDOT District 49 On-Call Guardrail/Concrete Barrier

Wednesday, December 20 through Thursday, December 21, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m. and until Friday, December 22, 12:00 p. m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail. If weather prohibits, the repairs will be performed on the next available night. THP will assist with traffic control during night time closures. Weather Permitting.

·         I-240 west and eastbound, MM 16.0 – MM 29.6, various locations. One lane will be CLOSED.

·         I-40 eastbound, MM 11A.4. One lane will be CLOSED.
