District 47 - West TN - Northern

 

BENTON COUNTY, I-40 Truck Climbing Lane

Wednesday, Janurary3 through Wednesday, January 10: Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone. *Speed limit is reduced to 60 MPH.

 

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 423: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete I-beam bridge on

SR 423 over Clear Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

 

DYER COUNTY, SR-20: Repair of bridges over North Fork Forked Deer River.

Restrictions: Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction.

*Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

 

HENRY COUNTY, SR-54: The grading, drainage, construction of bridges, retaining wall and paving on SR 54 from near Rison Street to near Smith Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

 

LAKE COUNTY, SR-78: Construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee bridge on SR 78 over drainage ditch including grading, drainage, and paving will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

Restrictions: Beginning Tuesday, August 1 through November 30, 2018, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 9’ lane restriction.

 

OBION COUNTY, Future I-69: Grading, drainage, construction of eight bridges on future I-69 from south of US 51 (SR 3) to south of US 45W (SR 5) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 (SR 3) portion of the project. The inside southbound lane on SR 3 is closed to all traffic for installation of barrier rail.

Restrictions: Beginning Tuesday, June 13, SR 3 will have a lane shift in the north and southbound directions. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 11’ 6” lane restriction.

 

District 48 - West TN – Middle/Southern

 

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR 15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

 

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128:  The grading, drainage, and paving on SR 128 from south of One Stop Drive to south of Opel Loop. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways 

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY-SR-19 (Brownsville Bypass): A widening project on SR 19 from west of Windrow Road to SR 76 south of Brownsville will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY–SR-76: Construction of a concrete bulb tee beam bridge over the Hatchie River – Wednesday, May 3, 2017 SR 76 will CLOSE at log mile 8.98 (approx. 1 mile south of the

I-40/Exit 56 interchange) for removal of the truss bridge.

*Local traffic will have access up to the bridge. An interstate detour will be posted at Exit 56 and Exit 52 (Stanton/KoKo Road).

 

MADISON COUNTY, SR-186 (US45 Bypass) and I-40: Interchange improvements on SR-186 (US 45) north and southbound from the I-40 ramps (LM 2.83) to Old Hickory Blvd (LM 3.33) for paving and construction of retaining walls.  Widening of I-40 from just east of Exit 79 to just east of Exit 82.

 

Monday, January 8 and Tuesday, January 9, 9AM-12PM: There will be temporary lane closures on SR186 (US45 Bypass) to the northbound right lane and southbound left lane, just north of the I-40 overpass.  Crews will be removing the overhead signs. Weather Permitting. Backup dates will be January 10-12.

 

TDOT REGION 4: On-Call Guardrail Repair/Concrete Barrier Rail Repair:

Wednesday, January 3 and Thursday, January 4, 8PM-6AM:  There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail.  THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

NO work will be scheduled for Friday or Saturday nights.

  • I-40, Madison & Henderson, Counties  East & Westbound (MM 67.00 to MM 120.44)

 

TDOT REGION 4: On-Call Pavement Markings:

Wednesday, January 3, through Wednesday, January 10: There are no scheduled closures.

 

TDOT MAINTENANCE:

Wednesday, January 3, through Wednesday, January 10, 9AM-3PM: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

 

District 49 - West TN - Southwest

 

FAYETTE/SHELBY COUNTIES, I-269: Installation of signs on I-269 (re-designated SR-385)

 

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge and paving on I-40 at the SR 196 (Hickory Withe Road) interchange. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway. Speed limit has been reduced to 60 MPH.

 

Saturday, January 6, 6AM-6PM: There will be inside lane closures on I-40 eastbound from MM 28.0 to MM 30.0 to mobilize equipment into the median to begin pier construction. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

 

FAYETTE COUNTY, US 70 (US 79, SR-1): A bridge repair project on SR 1 over branch will result in lane closures in both directions daily.

 

FAYETTE COUNTY- SR-59 over I-40: A bridge repair project on US-70 (SR 79, SR 1) over branch and on SR 59 over I-40.

 

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Exit 1 to Exit 1A: Bridge repair project will cause possible lane closures on I-40 over the Mississippi River and 5 bridges over Wolf River, various ramps and city streets and railroad.

 

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 MemFix 4: Replacement of Norfolk Southern, SR 57 east and westbound bridges, and repair of Park Avenue bridge over I-240.

Monday, January 8, 9:00 pm through Tuesday, January 9, 5:00 am:

·         There will be lane closures on I-240 eastbound for setting barrier and switching traffic.

 

Tuesday, January 9, 9:00 pm through Wednesday, January 10, 5:00 am:

·         There will be lane closures on I-240 eastbound for setting barrier and switching traffic. I-240 eastbound exit ramp to Poplar Avenue east and westbound will be CLOSED.  Detours will be provided. 

 

Wednesday, January 10, 9:00 pm through Thursday, January 11, 5:00 am

·         There will be lane closures on I-240 westbound for setting barrier and switching traffic. I-240 westbound “On” ramp from Poplar Ave east and westbound will be CLOSED. Detours will be provided. The right lane will remain CLOSED for construction activities. 

 

Thursday, January 11, 9:00pm through Friday, January 12, 5:00 am

·         There will be lane closures on I-240 eastbound and westbound for setting barrier and switching traffic. I-240 westbound exit ramp to Poplar Avenue east and westbound will be CLOSED.  I-240 westbound exit ramp to Poplar Avenue eastbound will be CLOSED.  Detours will be provided. The right lanes will remain CLOSED for construction activities.

 

The lane closures along I-240 east and westbound between Quince and Walnut Grove will stay in place throughout the project. All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled to the following nights as needed.

 

 

 

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240:

Monday, January 8 and Tuesday, January 9, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-240 north and southbound outside lane beginning at LM 0.00 (Norris Rd.) through LM 5.00 (Madison Avenue) to allow for pothole repair.  Weather Permitting.

* Wednesday, January 10, 9AM-3PM will serve as a backup date.

 

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

 

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from

SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project.

On April 21, 2017, Old Covington Pike East access to/from SR 14 was permanently CLOSED.

*Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

 

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-175Resurfacing on SR 175 from near Elvis Presley Blvd (LM 4.67) to Swinnea (LM 8.24)

 

TDOT MAINTENANCE:

Tuesday, January 9 and Wednesday, January 10, 9:00 a. m.-2:00 p. m.: There will be temporary closures, in Tipton County, northbound on SR 3 (US 51) outside lane beginning at MM 11.00 (Jack Bennett Rd.) to MM 12.00 (near Melrose Rd.) to allow for brush removal.  Weather Permitting.

 

Thursday, January 4, and Friday, January 5, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: There will be temporary closures, in Lauderdale County, southbound on SR 3 (US 51) outside lane beginning at MM 20.00 (Halls Exit) to MM 20.50 (near Halls Exit) to allow for washout repair.  Weather Permitting.

 

TDOT District 49 On-Call Guardrail/Concrete Barrier Rail Repair:

Wednesday, January 3, through Tuesday, January 9, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.:  There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail. If weather prohibits, the repairs will be performed on the next available night. THP will assist with traffic control during night time closures. Weather Permitting.

 

Tuesday, January 2, through Wednesday, January 3, 8:00 p.m.–6 a.m.:

·         I-240 WB, MM 16.2, One lane will be CLOSED.

·         I-55 NB, MM 11.6; One lane will be CLOSED.

·         SR 14 NB, MM 31.2; One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used.

Wednesday, January 3, through Tuesday, January 9, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.:  There will be daytime lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail. If weather prohibits, the repairs will be performed on the next available day. Weather Permitting. 

 

·         SR 57 east and westbound, MM 1.8 – MM 3.0; Shoulders will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used if needed.
