District 47 - West TN - Northern
CARROLL COUNTY, SR-423:
The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete I-beam bridge on SR 423 over Clear Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

DYER COUNTY, SR-3 (US-51): Repair of bridges over South Fork Forked Deer River. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone. Traffic is reduced to one lane on US 51 (SR 3) in both north and southbound directions, from LM 24.73 to LM 25.00 in Lauderdale County and LM 0.00 to LM 0.40 in Dyer County. SR 3 (US 51) northbound traffic is then shifted to the southbound lanes in the crossover areas. *Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 portion of the project.
Restrictions: There is a 12’ 10” lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-20 (US-412): Repair of bridges over Lewis Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.
On Monday, May 7, SR 20 was shifted into the westbound direction from LM 2.16 to LM 2.74 for bridge repair. Construction signs and message boards are in use.
Restrictions:
Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-76: A resurfacing project from US 45W (SR 5) to north of Bledsoe Road will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

GIBSON COUNTY, SR-366 (US-45W): A resurfacing project on US 45W (SR 366) from US 45W BR (SR 5) to near US 45W (SR 5) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-54: The grading, drainage, construction of bridges, retaining wall and paving on SR 54 from near Rison Street to near Smith Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway. *Speed limit has been reduced to 35MPH.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-21: The construction of a spillway on Reelfoot Lake, including grading, drainage and paving. Temporary lane closures daily for both west/eastbound traffic. Construction signs and Flaggers are in use.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-78: Construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee bridge on SR 78 over drainage ditch including grading, drainage, and paving will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

OBION COUNTY, Future I-69: Grading, drainage, construction of eight bridges on future I-69 from south of US 51 (SR 3) to south of US 45W (SR 5) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 (SR 3) portion of the project. The southbound traffic has been switched to the northbound side on SR 3 throughout the work zone, for phase 2 construction.

Restrictions: Tuesday, November 13, 2018 SR 3 has a lane shift in the north and southbound directions. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ 6” lane restriction.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-239, SR-89, SR-54, SR-118: A resurfacing project on SR 239 (LM 0.00 to LM 0.72), SR 89 (LM 15.70 to LM 16.59), SR 54 (LM 10.64 to LM 12.57), SR 118 (LM 0.00 to LM 0.30) in and around downtown Dresden will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

WEAKLEY COUNTY, SR-372: A resurfacing project on SR 372 from SR 431 to SR 43 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

 

District 48 - West TN – Middle/Southern
CROCKETT COUNTY, SR-54:
A resurfacing project on SR 54 from near SR 88/SR 221 to Gibson county line will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

CROCKETT COUNTY, SR-76: The grading, drainage, paving and construction of bridges on SR 76 over Cypress Creek and overflow. On February 7, 2018, a traffic signal system is being utilized.Restriction: There is an 11’ width restriction in place. Traffic reduced to one lane.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge and paving on I-40 at the SR 196 (Hickory Withe Road) interchange. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

Monday, November 26, through Wednesday, November 28, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be temporary outside lane closures on I-40 east and west bound from MM 28.0 to MM 30.0 for placement of thermoplastic pavement marking and snowplowable markers. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 60MPH speed limit. THP to assist with traffic control. Weather permitting.

HAYWOOD COUNTY-I-40: Resurfacing on I-40 east and westbound near Koko Rd to the SR 19 (Mercer Rd).
Monday, November 26, through Thursday, November 29: There are no scheduled closures.

 

MADISON COUNTY, SR-186 (US 45 Bypass) and I-40: Interchange improvements on SR 186 (US 45) north and southbound from the I-40 ramps to Old Hickory Blvd for paving and construction of retaining walls.  Widening of I-40 from just east of Exit 79 to just east of Exit 82.

Wednesday, November 21, through Wednesday, November 28: There are no scheduled closures.

LOOK AHEAD:
Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2, 5AM-7PM:
Close and detour I-40 east and westbound onto existing ramps at Exit 80 (Hwy 45 Bypass). Close and detour Hwy 45 Bypass north and southbound at interchange to install phase 2 deck pans. Only 1 direction of I-40 will be closed and redirected over the Exit 80 ramps at a time.  Westbound I-40 will be closed and traffic redirected over the ramps first and as work progresses; westbound will be opened to traffic and eastbound I-40 will be closed and traffic redirected over the ramps.

Saturday, December 8, 5AM-6PM: Temporary lane closures on I-40 east and west bound MM 80.0 to MM 82.0 for pothole repair. One lane in each direction will remain open at all times.

Backup Date Sunday, December 9, 5AM-6PM

Friday, December 14, 9PM through Saturday, December 15, 8PM: Close and detour I-40 east and westbound onto existing ramps at Exit 80 (Hwy 45 Bypass). Close and detour Hwy 45 Bypass north and southbound at interchange to allow for phase 2 deck pour.

Backup date Saturday, December 15, 9PM through Sunday, December 16, 8PM

TDOT District 48 MAINTENANCE:
Monday, November 26, through Wednesday, November 28, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.:
There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to repair pavement on an as needed basis.

TDOT District 47 and 48 On-Call Guardrail/Concrete Barrier Rail Repair:
Monday, November 26, through Tuesday, November 27, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.:
There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

·       I-40, Haywood, Madison, Henderson, Carroll, Decatur, and Benton counties. East and west bound, (MM 44.00 to MM 134.90)

Wednesday, November 21, through Wednesday, November 28:
There are no scheduled closures.

District 49 - West TN – Southwest
SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 MemFix 4:
Replacement of Norfolk Southern, SR 57 east and westbound bridges, and repair of Park Avenue bridge over I-240.

I-240: There are shoulder closures in the westbound direction of I-240 east/west between Quince and Walnut Grove. The lane closures along I-240 east and westbound between Quince and Walnut Grove will stay in place throughout the project.

Park Avenue: The right lane heading west will be closed through November 30th.

·       Monday, November 26, through Thursday, November 29, 9:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.–There will be lane closures on I-240 east and westbound and Poplar Ave east and westbound.  The associated ramps from I-240 and Poplar Ave will also be CLOSED with the exception of Poplar westbound to I-240 eastbound and Poplar eastbound to I-240 westbound.

·       Friday, November 30, 9:00 p.m. until Monday, December 3, 6:00 a.m.–There will be lane closures on I-240 east and westbound and Poplar Ave east and westbound.  Ramps associated with the lane closures from I-240 and Poplar Ave will also be CLOSED with the exception of Poplar westbound to I-240 eastbound and Poplar eastbound to I-240 westbound.  Detours will be provided when needed.

·       Monday, December 3, through Thursday, December 6, 9:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.–There will be lane closures on I-240 east and westbound and Poplar Ave east and westbound.  The associated ramps from I-240 and Poplar Ave will also be CLOSED with the exception of Poplar westbound to I-240 eastbound and Poplar eastbound to I-240 westbound.

·       Friday, December 7, 9:00 p.m. until Monday, December 10, 6:00 a.m.–There will be lane closures on I-240 east and westbound and Poplar Ave east and westbound.  Ramps associated with the lane closures from I-240 and Poplar Ave will also be CLOSED with the exception of Poplar westbound to I-240 eastbound and Poplar eastbound to I-240 westbound.  Detours will be provided when needed.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Interchange:  Install overhead sign structure.
LOOK AHEAD: Wednesday, November 28, 8:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.:  CLOSE Exit 12B from eastbound I-240 to westbound Sam Cooper Blvd. to allow for installation on new Exit 12B overhead sign. A detour will be in place for this ramp closure. 

* Thursday, November 29 through Tuesday, December 4, 8:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m. will serve as backup dates.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Ramp Exit 1 Asphalt Repair and Paving:
Tuesday, November 27, and Wednesday, November 28, 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.: RAMP CLOSURE
on I-40 eastbound MM .60 (Exit 1 off-ramp to Riverside Drive) to allow milling and paving asphalt repair. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR4 (US78 – Lamar Avenue) from MS State Line to south of Shelby Drive: Wednesday November 28 through Wednesday, December 5:
The nightly lane closures on Lamar Avenue are:

  • Wednesday, November 28 from 7:00 pm – 6:00 am - left lane of Lamar Ave. will be closed from MS State Line to Davidson Rd. and the right lane will be closed from Davidson Rd. to south of Shelby Drive.
  • Thursday, November 29 from 7:00 pm – 6:00 am – left lane of Lamar Ave. will be closed from south of Davidson Rd. to the MS State line. 
  • Thursday, November 29 from 7:00 pm – 6:00 am - intermittent right lane closures on Holmes Rd west of Lamar Ave.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14: The grading, drainage, construction of concrete Bulb-Tee and I-beam bridges, signals and paving on SR 14 from east of Old Covington Pike to SR 385 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14:  A bridge repair at Raleigh-Millington Exit:
Wednesday, November 21, 2018, 12:00 a.m. through Thursday, January, 31, 2019:
Ramp D Bridge (Raleigh-Millington Exit) from northbound SR 14 to Raleigh-Millington will be closed for repairs until January 2019.  Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385 from Ridgeway Road (LM-1.26) to near Hacks Cross Road (LM-6.13): Resurfacing will have lane closures throughout the project.

Monday, November 26 through Saturday, December 1, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: INTERMITTENT lane and ramp closures on SR-385 east and westbound from Ridgeway Road (LM-1.26) to near Hacks Cross Road (LM-6.13) to perform the resurfacing work. Detour will be provided. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-388 - N. Watkins bridges over the Loosahatchie River (LM-1.36):
Region 4 Bridge Repairs Division will perform an inspection on the SR-388/N. Watkins bridge over the Loosahatchie River.

LOOK AHEAD:
Monday, December 3, and Tuesday, December 4, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.:
The outsides lane will be closed in both directions on SR-388 over the Loosahatchie River (LM 1.36) to perform bridge inspection activities. One lane will stay open at all times in both directions.  

TIPTON COUNTY, SR-3: A safety project on SR 3 (US 51) from Charles Smith (LM 20.18) to Witherington Drive (LM 20.66) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

TDOT District 49 MAINTENANCE:
Monday, November 26, and Tuesday, November 27, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.:
There will be possible lane closures on all state routes and interstates for routine maintenance activities on an as needed basis.

TDOT District 49 On-Call Guardrail/Concrete Barrier Rail Repair:
Monday, November 26, and Tuesday, November 27, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.:
  There will be night time lane closures on SR 385, I-240, I-55, I-40 (Fayette and Shelby Counties), SR 14 (Shelby County), SR 15 (Shelby County), and SR 3 (Shelby and Tipton Counties). One lane will be CLOSED to repair damaged guardrail. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

Monday, November 26, through Wednesday, November 28, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be day time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail. If weather prohibits, the repairs will be performed on the next available day. Flagmen will be used where necessary. Weather Permitting.

  • Lauderdale Co., SR 209 eastbound and westbound, MM 0.0 – MM 19.0, various locations; One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used.
  • Lauderdale Co., SR 19 east and westbound, MM 0.0 – MM 26.0, various locations; One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used.
  • Lauderdale Co., SR 371 north and southbound, MM 1.4; One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used.
  • Tipton Co., SR 3 north and southbound, MM 0.0 – MM 25.0, various locations; Shoulder closure ONLY. Flagmen will be used.
